Scientific basis for GMO crops is false

Unpredictable effects. Unknown outcomes. Potential health consequences. Uncertain gene technology.

These aren’t phrases biotech giants like to hear.

They prefer:

“One gene produces one protein.”

“Each gene has a specific function.”

This is the basis for the modern biotech industry, and it applies most definitely to GMO crops.

And it is false.

So for example, when Monsanto says the genes they insert in plants only serve to protect the plants from the herbicide Roundup and have no other function, they’re making it up.

For a brief summary of the situation, see Denise Caruso’s NY Times piece, “A Challenge to Gene Theory, a Tougher Look at Biotech,” July 1, 2007.

Caruso reports on the findings of an “exhaustive four-year effort…organized by the United States National Human Genome Research Institute and carried out by 35 groups from 80 organizations around the world.”

“…genes appear to operate in a complex network, and interact and overlap with one another and with other components in ways not yet fully understood.”

“Evidence of a networked [interacting] genome shatters the scientific basis for virtually every official risk [safety] assessment of today’s commercial biotech products, from genetically engineered crops to pharmaceuticals.”

In other words, each gene inserted in GMO food crops cannot be said to have only one function. There is reason to believe the inserted genes interact with genes already in the plants, and produce unknown effects.

Therefore, bland assurances of safety are smoke blowing in the wind.

“Jack Heinemann, a professor of molecular biology in the School of Biological Sciences at the University of Canterbury in New Zealand and director of its Center for Integrated Research in Biosafety”: ‘The real worry for us has always been that the commercial agenda for biotech may be premature, based on what we have long known was an incomplete understanding of genetics…’

Heinemann: “Because gene patents and the genetic engineering process itself are both defined in terms of genes acting independently, [government] regulators may be unaware of the potential impacts arising from these network [interacting] effects.”

Biotech companies like Monsanto are, to be sure, aware of this gaping hole in their “science” of gene-function. In fact, according to Heinemann, “Many biotech companies already conduct detailed genetic studies of their products that profile the expression of proteins and other elements. But they are not required to report most of this data to regulators, so they do not. Thus vast stores of important research information sit idle.”

This means that Monsanto or Dow can conceal what they’ve discovered about GMO hazards. They can hide findings that show unpredicted effects, when inserted genes meet and network with natural genes in the food crops.

If we were merely talking about studies done in labs and abstract articles in journals, that would be one thing. But of course, we are talking about millions of acres planted with GMO crops—and vast populations eating GMO food.

It’s all based on a simplistic and false notion about how genes function.

The biotech giants know this, government regulators know this, and many scientists know this.

But they hide what they know.

And all this dangerous fakery doesn’t even touch on the highly toxic effects of Roundup and other herbicides necessary to manage GMO crops.

Former Landsbanki CEO Sentenced 12 Months for Market Manipulation

Sigurjón Þ. Árnason, former CEO of Landsbanki, was sentenced to 12 months in prison by Reykjavík District Court earlier this morning for market manipulation between November 1, 2007 and October 3, 2008.

Nine months of the sentence are suspended for two years, visir.is reports. The period which Sigurjón was held in police custody will be deducted from his sentence.

Two of the bank’s staff members, Ívar Guðjónsson and Júlíus Steinar Heiðarsson, received nine month sentences, six months of which are suspended for two years.

A fourth former  employee of the bank, Sindri Sveinsson, was acquitted of the Special Prosecutor’s charges.

Half of Sigurjón’s legal fees will be paid by the State Treasury and the full amount of Ívar’s fees.

The defendants were not present during this morning’s sentencing.

The case is one of the largest in the wake of the 2008 financial collapse in Iceland.

90 Percent of Americans are Poorer Today than they were in 1987

A study from the National Bureau of Economic Research as well as an admission from none other than the Chairwoman of the Federal Reserve recently indicated that 90% of Americans in 2014 are poorer today than in 1987.

A Washington Post article on the ‘Wonkblog’ section actually broke down the study, and said “The new, harsh reality is that the bottom 90 percent of households are poorer today than they were in 1987,” and “It’s been a lost 25 years for the bottom 90 percent, but a lost 15 for the next 9 percent, too. That’s right: altogether, the bottom 99 percent are worth less today than they were in 1998.”

The info from the chairwoman was presented less boldly than to simply admit that the dollar is inflated beyond repair, and it was phrased to imply that the value of the dollar will continue to improve from the 2008 recession.

Federal Reserve Board Chairwoman Janet Yellen spoke at a conference called the ‘Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Economic Conference on Inequality of Economic Opportunity’ last month, presenting the statistics in a much less dramatic sounding way. She said,

“The wealthiest five percent of American households held 54 percent of all wealth reported in the 1989 survey. Their share rose to 61 percent in 2010 and reached 63 percent in 2013,” she said. “By contrast, the rest of those in the top half of the wealth distribution ‒ families that in 2013 had a net worth between $81,000 and $1.9 million ‒ held 43 percent of wealth in 1989 and only 36 percent in 2013.”

“The extent and continuing increase in inequality in the United States greatly concern me,” she noted. “I think it is appropriate to ask whether this trend is compatible with values rooted in our nation’s history, among them the high value Americans have traditionally placed on equality of opportunity.”

People such as Karim Basta, chief economist at III Associates, praised the Fed chairwoman in a seemingly not very effective attempt to gloss over the problems of the inflated dollar. She said “I think she broke new ground in terms of a Fed chair looking at such a serious socioeconomic issue with that degree of rigor,”.

However, a baby step towards something slightly resembling honesty coming from the fed is ultimately insignificant in the larger scope of things. Whether or not they recognize the increasing devaluing of the dollar and the wealth disparity in America is irrelevant, because they continue to inflate the dollar to avoid the consequences of The Federal Reserve’s previous actions, and all of that inflation has to catch up with us some day.

Meanwhile, as Zero Hedge reports, the stock market continues to set record after record as the number of homeless children reaches an all-time high.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average now stands at 17,633, just off its all-time high.

Also near its all-time highs is the bond market, and coincidentally, the US debt—which is now within spitting distance of $18 trillion.

In other words, if these kids ever do manage to pick themselves up off the streets, they’ll work their entire lives to pay off a debt that they never signed up for.

And it all comes down to a completely perverse, corrupt, debt-based paper money system.

30 Years Later, America Truly Is Becoming A ‘1984’ Society

If only George Orwell could see us today.  When he wrote “1984” back in 1948, he probably never imagined that the “totalitarian, bureaucratic world” that he imagined would ever actually become a reality.  But that is precisely what is happening.  We live at a time when the government monitors billions of our phone calls and emails and hardly anyone gets upset about it.  We live at a time when corporations systematically collect our voiceprints and our televisions watch us.  We live at a time when reporters that try to dig into the misdeeds of the government have their computers hacked, and when nearly one out of every three Americans has a file in the FBI’s master criminal database.  The control freaks that run our society are absolutely obsessed with watching, tracking, recording and monitoring virtually everything that we do.  We truly are becoming a “1984” society, and if we continue on the path that we are currently on eventually our world will be transformed into something more hellish than anything that George Orwell ever imagined.

These days, virtually every type of government surveillance is taken to the extreme.  For example, there is definitely nothing wrong with normal undercover police work.  But these days, almost every single federal government agency conducts extensive undercover operations.  At this point, even the IRS and the Department of Agriculture rely on undercover operatives to spy on ordinary citizens.  So the next time you are visiting a tax preparer, buying a yacht or attending a peaceful political protest, the person standing next to you just might be a government spy…

The federal government has significantly expanded undercover operations in recent years, with officers from at least 40 agencies posing as business people, welfare recipients, political protesters and even doctors or ministers to ferret out wrongdoing, records and interviews show.

At the Supreme Court, small teams of undercover officers dress as students at large demonstrations outside the courthouse and join the protests to look for suspicious activity, according to officials familiar with the practice.

At the Internal Revenue Service, dozens of undercover agents chase suspected tax evaders worldwide, by posing as tax preparers, accountants drug dealers or yacht buyers and more, court records show.

Government undercover work has become so extreme that sometimes undercover agents from one agency end up investigating undercover agents from another agency.  In fact, there have been times when agents from different government agencies have pulled weapons on each other without even realizing it…

The extent of those secret operations within the departments can be so high that it leads to severe overlap, such as one undercover agent investigating an alleged criminal, who also turns out to be a fed on duty, law enforcement officials said.

“There are all sorts of stories about undercover operations gone bad,” Jeff Silk, a longtime undercover agent and supervisor at the Drug Enforcement Administration, said in an interview. “People are always tripping and falling over each other’s cases.”

Silk added that in some instances, agents even draw weapons on each other before realizing they are on the same side.

The government also uses a vast array of electronic methods to spy on all of us.

For instance, it has recently been revealed that the Justice Department places devices that emulate cell phone towers on Cessna airplanes and flies them around major cities.  These devices are then used to trace the phones of potential targets…

The U.S. Department of Justice is putting devices that emulate cellphone towers in Cessna aircraft and flying them around the country to track the locations of cell phones, a practice that targets criminal suspects but may also affect thousands of U.S. citizens, according to a news report Thursday.

The program is run by the Department of Justice’s U.S. Marshals Service and has been in operation since at least 2007, according to the report in the Wall Street Journal, which cited two unnamed sources. The aircraft are flown out of at least five metropolitan-area airports and can cover most of the U.S. population, it said.

Cell phones are programmed to connect to whichever nearby cell tower has the strongest signal. The fake cell towers trick phones into thinking they have the strongest signal, then read the devices’ unique registration numbers when they connect, the Journal report says.

At this point things have gotten so bad that even our public schools are training our children for life in a “Big Brother” police state.

When I was growing up, it would have been unthinkable for men with guns to come storming into a classroom.  But now it is a regular occurrence all across the nation.  And sometimes the students are not even told that a drill is taking place.  The following is an excerpt from a news story about one of these drills that just took place down in Florida…

Lauren Marionneaux, a seventh-grade student at Jewett Middle Academy, said it was about 9 a.m. Thursday when the principal announced the school was going on lockdown.

Students huddled into classrooms waiting for further instructions. Instead, they started hearing voices in the hallway.

“A lot of people started getting scared because we thought it was a real drill,” Lauren said. “We actually thought that someone was going to come in there and kill us.”

Two police officers burst into Lauren’s classroom with their guns drawn — one carrying, what Winter Haven police said, was an AR-15 rifle.

Would you want your little girl to feel like she is about to die?

I certainly would not.

But this kind of thing is done to condition our young people to life in a police state.  They are going to grow up thinking that it is normal for heavily armed men in dark suits to storm in and lock everything down.

Even though we are not in prison, we are being systematically trained to act as if we were.  Our police forces are being increasingly militarized, and all law enforcement authorities are now trained to bark orders at the general public and treat them like dirt.  Most of the population fears those in authority these days, and that is precisely how those in power want it.

And as John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute has pointed out, anyone that dares to resist this brutality is squashed like a bug…

For example, police arrested Chaumtoli Huq because she failed to promptly comply when ordered to “move along” while waiting outside a Ruby Tuesday’s restaurant for her children, who were inside with their father, using the bathroom. NYPD officers grabbed Huq, a lawyer with the New York City Public Advocate’s office, flipped her around, pressed her against a wall, handcuffed her, searched her purse, arrested her, and told her to “shut up” when she cried out for help, before detaining her for nine hours. Huq was charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Oregon resident Fred Marlow was jailed and charged with interfering and resisting arrest after he filmed a SWAT team raid that took place across the street from his apartment and uploaded the footage to the internet. The footage shows police officers threatening Marlow, who was awoken by the sounds of “multiple bombs blasting and glass breaking” and ran outside to investigate only to be threatened with arrest if he didn’t follow orders and return inside.

Eric Garner, 43 years old, asthmatic and unarmed, died after being put in a chokehold by NYPD police, allegedly for resisting arrest over his selling untaxed, loose cigarettes, although video footage of the incident shows little resistance on Garner’s part. Indeed, the man was screaming, begging and insisting he couldn’t breathe. And what was New York Mayor Bill De Blasio’s advice to citizens in order to avoid a similar fate? Don’t resist arrest.

Yes, we still have a bit more freedom than the poor souls in George Orwell’s “1984“, but our liberties and freedoms are eroding a little bit more with each passing day.

And just like in “1984”, most of the population has come to accept the status quo as the new “normal”.

So is there any hope that we will wake up, or will our society continue to march toward oblivion?

Abuse Victim: British Politician ‘Murdered’ Young Boy During Depraved Elite Party

An alleged victim of a high level sex ring claims that a Conservative MP killed a young boy during a depraved sex party that was attended by the rich and powerful of England in the 1980’s.

The recent scandals emanating from Great Britain involving high level politicians, businessmen and celebrities (see Jimmy Savile) provide us a glimpse of the dark, twisted world of the occult elite. One of their favorite kinks : Preying innocent children, violating them in horrific ways and feeding on their youth as if it was a source of life force. These crimes are not the product of a few deviant individuals, they are the result of a high level and highly institutionalized group that was dubbed by the Westminster paedophile ring.

An alleged victim of the Westminster ring, who is now over 40 years old, has recently came forward claiming to have been one of 15 boys who were abused at the hands of the powerful network. According to The Telegraph:

A Conservative MP murdered a young boy during a depraved sex party in the 1980s, an alleged victim of the Westminster paedophile scandal has claimed.

The 12-year-old boy, who was being abused by a group of men, was strangled by the politician at a luxury townhouse in front of other victims, it has been alleged.

On another occasion, the victim claims a young boy, who was around ten-years-old, was deliberately run down and killed by a car being driven by one of his abusers.

The alleged murders are among three that are now being investigated by the Metropolitan Police as part of a major probe into claims that a powerful ring with links to Westminster was operating in Britain in the 1970s and 1980s.

He claims after being handed to the group by his father, he was regularly picked up in cars and taken to hotels and apartments, where he was physically and sexually abused by “senior military and political” figures.

Some of the abuse allegedly took place at flats in the Dolphin Square development in Pimlico, where a number of politicians have London homes.

The man, who has spoken at length to Scotland Yard detectives, said he had witnessed two murders of abuse victims by members of the group.

He told the Sunday People that he had been in the same room as a 12-year-old boy, when a Tory MP throttled him to death.

The murder was allegedly witnessed by another abuse victim who was in the room at the same time.

He said: “I watched while that happened. I am not sure how I got out of that. Whether I will ever know why I survived, I am not sure.”

On another occasion he claims a member of the gang deliberately ran over one of the victims, in what he described as an effort to demonstrate their power.

A third boy was murdered during a depraved orgy at which another Tory MP was present, the man has told detectives.-

The situation lived by these young victims is akin to mind control slaves. According to the accuser :

“They were very powerful people and they controlled my life for the next nine years. They created fear that penetrated every part of me, day in day out. You didn’t question what they wanted, you did as they asked without question and the punishments were very severe.”

“They had no hesitation in doing what they wanted to do,” Nick said. “Some of them were quite open about who they were. They had no fear at all of being caught, it didn’t cross their mind.”

As you can see, these claims bear all of the hallmarks of the occult elite. Young children given up by their parents to high powered circles; Repeated and ritualistic abuse; Gratuitous murders that could be blood sacrifices. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

Will Scotland Yard arrest and punish these criminals? Considering the fact that the authorities are basically “in on it” (they covered up these stories for decades), I wouldn’t count on it.

The authors of The Bible were minions of the Dark Magicians (the Controllers) who knew how to use the art of word magic. They purposely added symbolic codes and metaphors into The Bible and other “holy books” to deceive you. However, if you learn how to decipher their codes and metaphors, you will know what the stories in their “holy books” actually mean.

3 Things You Should Know About the “Stupid Virus”

Recently, disease researchers yet again have discovered an emerging virus.

Scientists at Johns Hopkins Medical School and the University of Nebraska stumbled on to chlorovirus ATCV-1, a DNA virus which comes from algae, while doing an unrelated test on throat microbes. Forty-three percent of patients tested had it in their throats. Among other things, it is found to lead to cognitive problems. You can read some mainstream articles here, here, here and here.

I think the headlines should have read a lot differently. This discovery could have big implications for people for a few reasons. Yet, where is the media panic now? No…now it’s been made cute and funny by dubbing it the “stupid virus.”

Before we get carried away with giddy headlines pointing out how so many people must have “caught stupid” – let’s get a couple of things straight.

1. This is not a “stupid virus,” per se – The “stupid virus” title is meant to be a humorous, eye catching marketing hook for bored journalists. It’s actually an unwittingly cruel joke. In the original study, the researchers refer to cognitive decline and memory problems due to the virus. The researchers who had swabbed healthy people wrote that they found a “modest but statistically significant decrease in the performance on cognitive assessments of visual processing and visual motor speed.” As well as changes of gene expression in the hippocampus, memory formation and immune response. They also said it affects behavior.

However, do you know how many things lead to cognitive issues? Do we call Alzheimer’s “Stupid Dementia”? Do we say an epileptic is acting “dumb again” when they go into seizures, thought to stem from the hippocampus? No. But if cognitive decline equates to stupidity then I vote to call BPA a “stupidity chemical”; fluoridated water is “stupid juice”; heavy metal toxicity in food, air and water are “stupidizers”; pesticides could be “smartcides.” Because all of those things directly affect the brain. But cognitive problems are not indicative of stupidity, so it’s a cruel misnomer to detract and minimize them by calling a damaging virus a stupid maker.

2. It could have been called the ADHD virus. If this virus can mimic symptoms that are often left to the mental health field, then shouldn’t people with Alzheimer’s and ADHD be properly tested to make sure a virus isn’t actually causing their symptoms? Or even epilepsy, schizophrenia and PTSD. The fact that it affects the hippocampus is a concern. Forget stupid, do you want to have early onset Alzheimer’s and not be able to create new memories? And it would be cruel to call someone with that serious brain issue “stupid.”

The more I read up on this, the more it sounds like the exact picture of the group of symptoms commonly called ADHD.

From the Daily Mail:

Tests showed the virus had broken through the barrier between blood and tissue, altering the activity of genes in the brains of the mice.

The genes affected including those producing dopamine – a vital hormone which influences memory, spatial awareness, emotion and pleasure. (emphasis added)

ADHD with a forecast of Alzheimer’s. 

3. Another more accurate headline would actually be freaking out about yet another kingdom-jumping disease. This time involving plants-to-humans. That really isn’t normal. The people who tell me this are parroting the articles that are sensitizing people to get used to it. Historically speaking, I don’t see the rampant cases of kingdom or even species jumps that have exploded in the last 50-100 years. Let’s be clear: this virus comes from algae and hadn’t been observed in healthy humans before. When it was, they didn’t think it was harmful. But they conclude: “Our study indicates that viruses in the environment not thought to infect humans can have biological effects.”

It seems like I read about these “isolated incidents” once a week now. Furthermore, researchers say they don’t KNOW how the jump happens – or if it’s contagious or if we make good hosts. That’s a problem and deserves more than a stupid, passing headline.

The human body houses many viruses, no less, DNA viruses. I just wanted to point that out to alleviate potential panic. This isn’t necessarily “bad” it just is what it is for now, although I would love to see how people could live if they did not have the bulk of them. Most people have had Chicken Pox (varicella zoster) and it stays latent. Later, one could have Shingles (herpes zoster) during a time of immune suppression or stress. Herpes simplex virus type 1 (cold sores of the mouth) are present in 80-90% of people and appear during times of stress. The above also happen to be DNA viruses. This list goes on and on…

But how many of these latent and emerging viruses can one person handle? Especially those that affect the brain? And what happens when the immune system is compromised and the viruses come roaring out like a sleeping dragon? That creates a mega load on the body and constant stress of the immune system.

Can I recommend one source for helping the body slough off some of those problems and prevent more? It’s Herbal Antivirals:Natural Remedies for Emerging & Resistant Viral Infections by Stephen Buhner. He says, when it comes to emerging disease, that garlic and colloidal silver from the healthfood store just aren’t going to cut it. Not when it comes to mystery illnesses or mutated disease. If he could overcome a questionable animal-to-human disease that only emerged in the late 1970s, I would act on his herbal sensibilities to help the immune system fight off more.

The (TPP) Would Be The Most Important Step Toward A One World Economic System

Barack Obama is secretly negotiating the largest international trade agreement in history, and the mainstream media in the United States is almost completely ignoring it.  If this treaty is adopted, it will be the most important step toward a one world economic system that we have ever seen.

The name of this treaty is “the Trans-Pacific Partnership”, and the text of the treaty is so closely guarded that not even members of Congress know what is in it.  Right now, there are 12 countries that are part of the negotiations: the United States, Canada, Australia, Brunei, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.  These nations have a combined population of 792 million people and account for an astounding 40 percent of the global economy.  And it is hoped that the EU, China and India will eventually join as well.  This is potentially the most dangerous economic treaty of our lifetimes, and yet there is very little political debate about it in this country.

Even though Congress is not being allowed to see what is in the treaty, Barack Obama wants Congress to give him fast track negotiating authority.  What that means is that Congress would essentially trust Obama to negotiate a good treaty for us.  Congress could vote the treaty up or down, but would not be able to amend or filibuster it.

Of course now the Republicans control both houses of Congress.  If they are foolish enough to blindly give Barack Obama so much power, they should all immediately resign.

And it is critical that people understand that this is not just an economic treaty.  It is basically a gigantic end run around Congress.  Thanks to leaks, we have learned that so many of the things that Obama has deeply wanted for years are in this treaty.  If adopted, this treaty will fundamentally change our laws regarding Internet freedom, healthcare, copyright and patent protection, food safety, environmental standards, civil liberties and so much more.  This treaty includes many of the rules that alarmed Internet activists so much when SOPA was being debated, it would essentially ban all “Buy American” laws, it would give Wall Street banks much more freedom to trade risky derivatives and it would force even more domestic manufacturing offshore.

In other words, it is the treaty from hell.

In addition to imposing Obama’s vision for the world on 40 percent of the global population, it is also being described as a “Christmas wish-list for major corporations”.  Of the 29 chapters in the treaty, only five of them actually deal with economic issues.  The rest of the treaty deals with a whole host of other issues of great importance to the global elite.

The following list of issues addressed by this treaty is from a Malaysian news source…

  • • domestic court decisions and international legal standards (e.g., overriding domestic laws on both trade and nontrade matters, foreign investors’ right to sue governments in international tribunals that would overrule the national sovereignty)
    • environmental regulations (e.g., nuclear energy, pollution, sustainability)
    • financial deregulation (e.g., more power and privileges to the bankers and financiers)
    • food safety (e.g., lowering food self-sufficiency, prohibition of mandatory labeling of genetically modified products, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) or mad cow disease)
    • Government procurement (e.g., no more buy locally produced/grown)
    • Internet freedom (e.g., monitoring and policing user activity)
    • labour (e.g., welfare regulation, workplace safety, relocating domestic jobs abroad)
    • patent protection, copyrights (e.g., decrease access to affordable medicine)
    • public access to essential services may be restricted due to investment rules (e.g., water, electricity, and gas)

Why can’t we get this type of reporting in the United States?

And if this treaty is ultimately approved by Congress, we will essentially be stuck with it forever.

This treaty is written in such a way that the United States will be permanently bound by all of the provisions and will never be able to alter them unless all of the other countries agree.

Are you starting to understand why this treaty is so dangerous?

This treaty is the key to Obama’s “legacy”.  He wants to impose his will upon 40 percent of the global population in a way that will never be able to be overturned.

Of course Obama is touting this treaty as the path to economic recovery.  He promises that it will greatly increase global trade, decrease tariffs and create more jobs for American workers.

But instead, it would be a major step toward destroying what is left of the U.S. economy.

Over the past several decades, every time a major trade agreement has been signed we have seen even more good jobs leave the United States.

And it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why this is happening.  If corporations can move jobs to the other side of the planet to nations where it is legal to pay slave labor wages, they will make larger profits.

Just think about it.  If you were running a corporation and you had the choice of paying workers ten dollars an hour or one dollar an hour, which would you choose?

Plus there are so many other costs, taxes and paperwork hassles when you deal with American workers.  For example, big corporations will not have to provide Obamacare for their foreign workers.  That alone will represent a huge savings.

Any basic course in economics will teach you that labor flows from markets where labor costs are high to markets where labor costs are lower.  And at this point it costs less to make almost everything overseas.  As a result, we have already lost millions upon millions of good jobs, and countless small and mid-size U.S. companies have been forced to shut down because they cannot compete with foreign manufacturers.

Later this month, consumers will flock to retail stores for “Black Friday” deals.  But if you look carefully at those products, you will find that almost all of them are made overseas.  We buy far, far more from the rest of the world than they buy from us, and that is a recipe for national economic suicide.

We consume far more wealth that we produce, and anyone with half a brain can see that is not sustainable in the long run.  The only way that we have been able to maintain our high standard of living is by going into insane amounts of debt.  We are currently living in the largest debt bubble in the history of the planet, and at some point the party is going to end.

Please share this article with as many people as you can.  We need to inform people about what Obama is trying to do.

If Obama is successful in ramming this secret treaty through, it is going to do incalculable damage to what is left of the once great U.S. economy.

Less Wind, Rain and Sun, Welcome to Geoengineering

The science relating to the effects of an atmosphere saturated with particulates is clear and disturbing: less rain, wind, and sun. Numerous environmental engineering studies have found that the levels of rain, wind, and sun around the world today are likely far less than they should have been and would have been without chemical aerosols decimating our atmosphere. Such studies discuss these problems that can occur with atmospheric aerosols, however most articles, like the one cited below, ignore the “elephant in the room” that geoengineering is by far the largest single source of atmospheric aerosols. A recent report from NOAA even admits to the fact that they just don’t know where all these particles are coming from.

Particulates in the air prevent “condensation nuclei” (small particles 1/100th the size of a cloud droplet) from combining and eventually falling as precipitation or rain. Instead, the normal process of cloud formation does not occur and the atmospheric moisture is scattered far and wide into a rainless “artificial” aerosol cloud, leading to significantly diminished and dissipated global rainfall overall (though isolated deluges are also increasing in frequency).  The visual effect of this process often transforms the sky into a completely featureless canopy of lingering and expanding particle trails dispersed by aerosol spraying from jets. Depending on the degree of spraying intensity, the sky may also appear to be a mix of natural and artificial clouds that can be seen as an “over-story” of white, “cob web”, wispy, and/or silvery sky above natural clouds. The particle trails or “trailing” can often be seen in these “partly cloudy” conditions creating a layered appearance to the sky.  Though wind can, of course, still blow under this sky laden with aerosols, available science makes clear that the wind and sun are less than otherwise would have been if the atmosphere was not completely saturated with particulates (there, of course, will always be exceptions regarding wind and rain depending on the conditions and the goals of the climate engineering in a particular circumstance).

The stated goal of numerous geoengineering patents is to saturate the atmosphere with aerosols (extremely tiny nanometer sized particles). SAG (stratospheric aerosol geoengineering) and SRM (solar radiation management) are the acronyms for the now constant aircraft spraying and dispersion so clearly visible in our skies to anyone that bothers to look up regularly. Though most are finally beginning to wonder what is wrong with the weather, very, very few have taken the time to investigate. The corporate sponsored media and its complacent politicalized weather forecasters are all too proficient at explaining away the now completely altered skies above us, the radically fluctuating temperatures, the almost never “clear” skies, and the rest of a long list of anomalous weather events increasing by the day. Skies that are often covered with stripes from horizon to horizon, with x’s and other grid configurations considered to be “normal”. It is important to remember that there are no absolutes in this equation. Though aerosols in the atmosphere have specific general effects, as pressure is built up in the climate system ferocious storms will also develop to release that pressure.

Any that bother to truly investigate the dire issue of geoengineering will find there is much going on in our skies that could be considered anything but normal.  In the meantime, most will unknowingly be suffering from the insidious effects of the aerosol spraying, which is silently diminishing the natural balance of nature with devastating consequences.  Welcome to Geoengineering. Though the Stanford study below of course does not admit to climate engineering as a source of atmospheric aerosols, the point of their effect is still made.

Aerosol pollution slows down winds and reduces rainfall

The winds that blow near the surface of the Earth have two beneficial effects: They provide a renewable source of clean energy and they evaporate water, helping rain clouds to build up. But aerosolized particles created from vehicle exhaust and other contaminants can accumulate in the atmosphere and reduce the speed of winds closer to the Earth’s surface, which results in less wind power available for wind-turbine electricity and also in reduced precipitation, according to a study by Stanford and NASA researchers.

“These aerosol particles are having an effect worldwide on the wind speeds over land; there’s a slowing down of the wind, feeding back to the rainfall too,” says civil and environmental engineering Associate Professor Mark Z. Jacobson, co-author of the study with the late Yoram J. Kaufman from NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, who died in May 2006. “We’re finding a reduction of rain, and that can lead to droughts and reduction of water supply.”

Jacobson and Kaufman’s study, based on NASA satellite data of aerosol accumulation, measurements of wind speeds over the South Coast Basin in California and in China, and computer model simulations over California as a whole and the South Coast Basin, was published online Dec. 27 in Geophysical Research Letters. The researchers used both the model and data to study the effects of aerosol particles on wind speed and rainfall.

Slower winds, less rain

Aerosol particles floating in the atmosphere absorb or scatter solar radiation, and prevent it from getting to the ground. This cools the Earth’s surface and reduces daytime vertical convection that mixes the slower winds found near the ground with the faster winds at higher altitudes. The overall effect is a reduction in the speed of near-surface winds, which Jacobson has calculated to be up to 8 percent slower in California.

Clean and renewable, wind power made up 1.5 percent of the Golden State’s energy portfolio in 2005, according to the California Energy Commission. But slower gusts may reduce wind’s economic competitiveness compared to other energy sources, such as fossil fuels.

“The more pollution, the greater the reduction of wind speed,” Jacobson says. Aerosol particles may be responsible for the slowing down of winds worldwide. Wind supplies about 1 percent of global electric power, according to Jacobson. Slow winds may hinder development of wind power in China, where it’s a needed alternative to dirty coal-fired plants. Aerosols’ reduction of the wind also may explain the reduction in the Asian seasonal monsoon and “disappearing winds” in China, observations found in other studies. Moreover, slack air currents may hurt energy efficiency in Europe, where countries like Denmark and Germany have made major wind-power investments.

Slower winds evaporate less water from oceans, rivers and lakes. Furthermore, the cooling of the ground provoked by the aerosol particles reduces the evaporation of soil water.

What’s more, the accumulation of aerosol particles in the atmosphere makes clouds last longer without releasing rain. Here’s why: Atmospheric water forms deposits on naturally occurring particles, like dust, to form clouds. But if there is pollution in the atmosphere, the water has to deposit on more particles. Spread thin, the water forms smaller droplets. Smaller droplets in turn take longer to coalesce and form raindrops. In fact, rain may not ever happen, because if the clouds last longer they can end up moving to drier air zones and evaporating.

Increasing California’s water woes

“In California, [the wind reduction] may imply a 2 to 5 percent reduction in water supply, which translates into 0.5 to 1.25 million acre feet less a year” Jacobson says. (An acre foot is the volume of water needed to cover one acre of surface area to a depth of one foot.) This contributes to water scarcity in the state, which with its growing population will require an additional 4 to 6 million acre feet of water supply by 2010, according to the Association of California Water Agencies.

In fact, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger recently called for new dams in Northern California and near Fresno to store more water from Sierra snowmelt—an initiative that environmentalists have vehemently criticized. Jacobson says the elimination of aerosol pollution would offset some of the need for additional dams by increasing rainwater supply.

“The aerosol pollution in California could be causing an annual loss of water supply equivalent to the storage in the planned upper San Joaquin River dam, with a capacity of 1.3 million acre feet,” Jacobson says.

Jacobson advocates replacing existing motor vehicles with cleaner ones, such as renewable-energy powered battery-electric and hydrogen-fueled vehicles, and substituting contaminating power plants with networked wind farms. These actions would reduce particle emissions practically to zero, he says. The second-best option would be adding particle traps to existing vehicles and other sources of pollution.

“If we want to solve the global warming problem, we have to replace most of the existing energetic infrastructure with wind and other renewable-based energy,” says Jacobson, whose next step will be to study the effect of greenhouse gases on winds.

Jacobson’s research was supported by grants from NASA and the California Energy Commission and involved the use of NASA’s high-end computing center at Ames Research Center in Mountain View, Calif.

UN Declares Arms Trade Treaty will go into Effect December 24

A little over a year ago, Secretary of State John Kerry signed the United Nations Small Arms Treaty. Fortunately for the US, the Senate had already taken a position on the treaty and deemed it unconstitutional and unworthy of recognition as a violation of the Second Amendment. However, that isn’t stopping the UN treaty from advancing forward in the eyes of the world on December 24, 2014.

According to the United Nations Office for Disarmament (could they be more explicit in what their goals really are?):

The landmark Arms Trade Treaty (ATT), regulating the international trade in conventional arms – from small arms to battle tanks, combat aircraft and warships – will enter into force on 24 December 2014.

The New American’s Joe Wolverton writes, “It is ironical that on the day before the world’s 2.18 billion Christians commemorate the coming of Jesus Christ to the Earth, the United Nations will officially put into motion a plan to deny them of a right given to them by the very God whose birth they celebrate.”

While the UN’s disarmament site claims that the United States has ratified the treaty on September 25, 2013, nothing could be further from the truth. While Kerry may have signed the document, the United States Senate is required to ratify it by two-thirds. They have not done so.

Article II, §2, cl. 2, U.S. Constitution, says the President:

… shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two-thirds of the Senators present concur…

Article VI, Clause 2 goes on to state:

This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding. [emphasis added]

The US Constitution is the fundamental law in the United States, not a treaty of the United Nations. Therefore, there are rules in place in the US Constitution that keep the UN Small Arms Treaty from becoming law, even if the Senate were to ratify it, namely the Second Amendment.

Publius Huldah writes, “Because the Constitution is “fundamental” law (Federalist No. 78, 11th & 12th paras), it is The Standard by which the legitimacy of all Presidential Acts, all Acts of Congress, all Treaties, and all Judicial Decisions is measured (Federalist No. 78, 10th para).

The federal government may not lawfully circumvent the U.S. Constitution by international treaties,” she adds. “It may NOT do by Treaty what it is not permitted to do by the U.S. Constitution.”

Wolverton adds, “While that is the process that the Constitution establishes for the implementation of treaties, fundamental principles of construction and constitutional law dictate that no treaty that violates the Constitution can become the supreme law of the land. In the case of the UN’s Arms Trade Treaty, there is no doubt that regardless of presidential signatures or congressional consent, this treaty cannot pass constitutional muster and therefore will never be the valid law of the land.”

Understand that John Kerry and Barack Obama have lied to the American people about the UN Small Arms treaty. It is, in fact, a national gun registration. To demonstrate the lies of the Obama administration, Wolverton points out that Article 5 of the treaty, “mandates that all countries participating in the treaty ‘shall establish and maintain a national control system, including a national control list.’ This list should ‘apply the provisions of this Treaty to the broadest range of conventional arms.'”

The treaty also denies men the right to own, buy, sell, trade or transfer any means of armed resistance, ammunition or parts and components of weapons. Plus, it adds strict record keeping requirements and also demands that national governments use “appropriate measures” to enforce the terms of the treaty, using a “voluntary trust fund” to assist UN “Peacekeepers” in disarming citizens.

Americans, at no time in our history have we ever given any authority to the federal government to engage in any of this activity. In fact, we have sat by silently while they have made laws to restrict and regulate arms at the federal level. It is a God-given right, enshrined in the words of the Lord Jesus when He said,

And He said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?” So they said, “Nothing.” Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one.

For those who would like to say that Jesus was speaking metaphorically or that he would never endorse such a thing as arming one’s self, consider that his concern was for His followers. Second, consider that Christ, though the Prince of Peace, is a “man of war” (Exodus 15:3). If your pastor has led you down the primrose path of just submitting to every unlawful dictator and mass murderer in history, then my advice to you is to get out now. Once you do that, take up Gordan Runyan’s excellent exposition of Romans 13 here, and then arm yourselves. After all, if you are unwilling to demonstrate your love for those closest to you by arming yourself for their defense, then your claims of “loving them” are at best hypocritical.

We stand on the precipice of either a great victory or certain defeat. I call upon my fellow Americans to remember the spirit of our forefathers who have come before us and play the man. Stand up and be counted and let those we have elected to office know that we will not stand for lawless behavior any longer and that this treaty is an undermining of the biblical mandate and their charge under the Constitution!

Finally, don’t think that just because we oppose the treaty and it doesn’t get ratified that all is well. Remember how Bill Clinton began implementing the UN Agenda 21 via executive order even though it was never ratified by the Senate. Keep this in mind as we move forward.

Big Banks Busted Massively Manipulating Foreign Exchange, Precious Metals and Every Other Market

Currency markets are massively rigged. And see this and this.

Reuters notes today:

Regulators fined six major banks including Citigroup (C.N) and UBS (UBSN.VX) a total of $4.3 billion for failing to stop traders from trying to manipulate the foreign exchange market, following a year-long global investigation.

HSBC (HSBA.L), Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L), JP Morgan (JPM.N) and Bank of America (BAC.N) also face penalties resulting from the inquiry that has put the largely unregulated $5 trillion-a-day market on a tighter leash, accelerated the push to automate trading and ensnared the Bank of England.

In the latest scandal to hit the financial services industry, dealers shared confidential information about client orders and coordinated trades to make money from a foreign exchange benchmark used by asset managers and corporate treasurers to value their holdings. Dozens of traders have been fired or suspended.

Britain’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) fined five lenders $1.77 billion, the biggest penalty in the history of the City of London, and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) ordered them to pay a further $1.48 billion.

The U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, which regulates banks, also fined the U.S. lenders $950 million and was the only authority to penalise Bank of America.

Gold and Silver Are Manipulated

Today, Switzerland’s financial regulator (FINMA) found “serious misconduct” and a “clear attempt to manipulate precious metals benchmarks” by UBS employees in precious metals trading, particularly with silver.

Reuters reports:

Swiss regulator FINMA said on Wednesday that it found a “clear attempt” to manipulate precious metals benchmarks during its investigation into precious metals and foreign exchange trading at UBS …

Gold and silver prices have been “fixed” in daily conference calls by the powers-that-be.

Bloomberg reported last December:

It is the participating banks themselves that administer the gold and silver benchmarks.

So are prices being manipulated? Let’s take a look at the evidence. In his book “The Gold Cartel,” commodity analyst Dimitri Speck combines minute-by-minute data from most of 1993 through 2012 to show how gold prices move on an average day (see attached charts). He finds that the spot price of gold tends to drop sharply around the London evening fixing (10 a.m. New York time). A similar, if less pronounced, drop in price occurs around the London morning fixing. The same daily declines can be seen in silver prices from 1998 through 2012.

For both commodities there were, on average, no comparable price changes at any other time of the day. These patterns are consistent with manipulation in both markets.

Derivatives Are Manipulated

Runaway derivatives – especially credit default swaps (CDS) – were one of the main causes of the 2008 financial crisis. Congress never fixed the problem, and actually made it worse.

The big banks have long manipulated derivatives … a $1,200 Trillion Dollar market.

Indeed, many trillions of dollars of derivatives are being manipulated in the exact same same way that interest rates are fixed (see below) … through gamed self-reporting.

Reuters noted in September:

A Manhattan federal judge said on Thursday that investors may pursue a lawsuit accusing 12 major banks of violating antitrust law by fixing prices and restraining competition in the roughly $21 trillion market for credit default swaps.

“The complaint provides a chronology of behavior that would probably not result from chance, coincidence, independent responses to common stimuli, or mere interdependence,” [Judge] Cote said.

The defendants include Bank of America Corp, Barclays Plc, BNP Paribas SA, Citigroup Inc , Credit Suisse Group AG, Deutsche Bank AG , Goldman Sachs Group Inc, HSBC Holdings Plc , JPMorgan Chase & Co, Morgan Stanley, Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc and UBS AG.

Other defendants are the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and Markit Ltd, which provides credit derivative pricing services.

U.S. and European regulators have probed potential anticompetitive activity in CDS. In July 2013, the European Commission accused many of the defendants of colluding to block new CDS exchanges from entering the market.

“The financial crisis hardly explains the alleged secret meetings and coordinated actions,” the judge wrote. “Nor does it explain why ISDA and Markit simultaneously reversed course.”

In other words, the big banks are continuing to fix prices for CDS in secret meetings … and have torpedoed the more open and transparent CDS exchanges that Congress mandated.

Interest Rates Are Manipulated

Bloomberg reported in January:

Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc was ordered to pay $50 million by a federal judge in Connecticut over claims that it rigged the London interbank offered rate.

RBS Securities Japan Ltd. in April pleaded guilty to wire frauda s part of a settlement of more than $600 million with U.S and U.K. regulators over Libor manipulation, according to court filings. U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea in New Haventoday sentenced the Tokyo-based unit of RBS, Britain’s biggest publicly owned lender, to pay the agreed-upon fine, according to a Justice Department Justice Department.

Global investigations into banks’ attempts to manipulate the benchmarks for profit have led to fines and settlements for lenders including RBS, Barclays Plc, UBS AG and Rabobank Groep.

RBS was among six companies fined a record 1.7 billion euros ($2.3 billion) by the European Union last month for rigging interest rates linked to Libor. The combined fines for manipulating yen Libor and Euribor, the benchmark money-market rate for the euro, are the largest-ever EU cartel penalties.

Global fines for rate-rigging have reached $6 billion since June 2012 as authorities around the world probe whether traders worked together to fix Libor, meant to reflect the interest rate at which banks lend to each other, to benefit their own trading positions.

The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission says that JP Morgan has massively manipulated energy markets in California and the Midwest, obtaining tens of millions of dollars in overpayments from grid operators between September 2010 and June 2011.

Pulitzer prize-winning reporter David Cay Johnston noted in May that Wall Street is trying to launch Enron 2.0.

The Big Picture

The experts say that big banks will keep manipulating markets unless and until their executives are thrown in jail for fraud.

Why? Because the system is rigged to allow the big banks to commit continuous and massive fraud, and then to pay small fines as the “cost of doing business”. As Nobel prize winning economist Joseph Stiglitz noted years ago:

“The system is set so that even if you’re caught, the penalty is just a small number relative to what you walk home with.

The fine is just a cost of doing business. It’s like a parking fine. Sometimes you make a decision to park knowing that you might get a fine because going around the corner to the parking lot takes you too much time.”

Indeed, Reuters points out today:

Switzerland’s regulator FINMA ordered UBS, the country’s biggest bank, to pay 134 million francs ($139 million) after it found serious misconduct in both foreign exchange and precious metals trading. It also capped bonuses for dealers in both units at twice their basic salary for two years.

Capping bonuses at twice base salary?  That’s not a punishment … it’s an incentive.

Experts say that we have to prosecute fraud or else the economy won’t ever really stabilize.

But the government is doing the exact opposite. Indeed, the Justice Department has announced it will go easy on big banks, and always settles prosecutions for pennies on the dollar (a form of stealth bailout. It is also arguably one of the main causes of the double dip in housing. And there is no change in the air.)

Indeed, the government doesn’t even force the banks to admit any guilt as part of their settlements.

Wall Street has manipulated virtually every other market as well – both in the financial sector and the real economy – and broken virtually every law on the books.

And they will keep on doing so until the Department of Justice grows a pair.

The criminality and blatant manipulation will grow and spread and metastasize – taking over and killing off more and more of the economy – until Wall Street executives are finally thrown in jail.

It’s that simple …

Another “Conspiracy Theory” Bites The Dust: UBS Settles Over Gold Rigging, Many More Banks To Follow

Remember when everyone decried wholesale Libor manipulation as a crazy conspiracy theory (Zero Hedge: January 2009: “This Makes No Sense: LIBOR By Bank“) because after all, it was impossible for so many people to keep their mouth shut or whatever the generic justification is for disproving such “conspiracy theories”? Why, none other than ICAP chief Michael Spencer says they all though Libor was “unmanipulable.” As it turns out, not only is Libor manipulable(sic), and a vast rate-rigging “conspiracy theory” is quite possible when everyone’s interests are aligned, but it also was massively profitable.

Then it was the turn of the even more massive, multi-trillion FX market, when first UBS squealed like a pig and soon ratted out every other bank in the criminal “Cartel” (or was it “Bandits”?) syndicate (see: “Meet The (First) Seven Banks Who Rigged The FX Market“). End result: banks such as JPM, Citi and BofA forced to review their criminal ways and adjusting their third quarter results a month into Q4. Many more legal fees, charges and settlement coming however for those who lost money on the other side of such long-running manipulation, please accept our condolences: you won’t see a penny.

And finally, there was the precious metals market: a market which all the Keynesian fanatic paper bugs said was immune from manipulation, be it of the central or commercial bank kind, even with every other market clearly exposed for perpetual rigging either by hedge funds, by prop desks, by HFTs, or central banks themselves.

Sadly this too conspiracy theory just was crushed into the reality of conspiracy fact, when moments ago the FT reported that alongside admissions of rigging every other market, UBS – always the proverbial first rat in the coalmine, to mix and match metaphors- is about to “settle” allegations of gold and silver rigging. In other words: it admits it had rigged the gold and silver markets, without of course “admitting or denying” it did so.

UBS is to settle allegations of misconduct at its precious metals trading business alongside a planned agreement between UK and US authorities and seven banks over accusations of foreign exchange market rigging.

UBS is expected to strike a settlement over alleged trader misbehaviour at its precious metals desks with at least one authority as part of a group deal over forex with multiple regulators this week, two people close to the situation said. They cautioned that the timing of a precious metals deal could still slip to a date after the forex agreement.

Regulators around the world have alleged that traders at a number of banks have colluded and shared information about client orders to manipulate prices in the $5.3tn-a-day forex market. UBS has previously disclosed that it launched an internal probe of its precious metals business in addition to its forex investigation. It declined to comment for this article.

Unlike at other banks, UBS’s precious metals and forex businesses are closely integrated. The business units have joint management and the bank’s precious metals staff – who mainly trade gold and silver – sit on the same floor as the forex traders.

One person familiar with UBS’s internal probe said the bank found a small number of potentially problematic incidents at its precious metals desk.

“Potentially provlematic incidents“? One must give props to the FT for always finding just the right amount of politically correct lipstick to cover up what was market manipulation, pure and simple, which continued for years and years, even as the same FT routinely mocked everyone who alleged otherwise.

The good news is that the FT will finally reinstate the Gold manipulation article which is penned in February then promptly removed following complaints from up high.

Mr Flotron has not been accused of wrongdoing and has never responded to any requests for comment. He has labelled his professional status on his LinkedIn profile as being “on leave, keen to return in due time”. 

The gold market has this year become the latest trading area to be subjected to heavy regulatory scrutiny and allegations of price-rigging. The FCA fined Barclays £26m in May after an options trader was found to have manipulated the London gold fix.

Germany’s financial regulator BaFin has launched a formal investigation into the gold market and is probing Deutsche Bank, one of the former members of a tarnished gold fix panel that will soon be replaced by an electronic fixing.

As for what happens next, the game is clear, because the only thing that can surpass the “developed world’s” rigged markets is said world’s “judicial” system: rigged far more than a $10 billion gold market sell order at 1 am in the morning. The TBTF, aka Too Big To Prosecute Banks will settle, paying out pennies on the dollar of the profits they made from rigging gold, silver, FX, libor, Interest rates, equities, and so on, and will lay low for a while until the rigging resumes.

But fear not: even as the criminal banks stay out of the rigged market for a month or so – after all they have to at least give the appearance of complying with the rigged law – the central banks, courtesy of the “People Bringing You Currency Manipulation On A Daily Basis” located conveniently at the nexus of central banking in the Bank of International Settlements in Basel, will keep on rigging. Or else none other than Benoit Gilson, Head of Foreign Exchange & Gold at the BIS will be forced to report that he too is “on leave, keen to return in due time”…

Alas, we are far too deep inside the rabbit hole at this point to even pretend normalcy can ever again exist without the biggest systemic reset in history.

HSBC ‘lied to MPs & Deceived Customers,’ Whistleblower Says

HSBC deliberately deceived the Treasury Select Committee and was in contempt of Parliament by claiming their “fake” solicitors were regulated, whistleblower and financial activist Nicholas Wilson said Friday.

The British-born investigator, who is currently preparing a private prosecution against HSBC for its alleged role in widespread fraud, says the bank purposely misled parliament by falsely stating to Conservative MP Andrew Tyrie that their in-house legal division was regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

Wilson uncovered concrete evidence the SRA did not regulate this legal entity in 2011. As part of ongoing investigative research he is conducting into what he stresses is large-scale HSBC fraud amounting to £1 billion, the whistleblower discovered what he alleges was HSBC’s deliberate deceit of Parliament.

In the wake of a recent fake solicitor scandal, surrounding controversial pay day lender Wonga, Tyrie wrote to major British banks on behalf of the Treasury Select Committee (TSC), inquiring about their policies with respect to unethical and aggressive debt recovery practices.

Unethical debt collection: Treasury probe

HSBC responded to Tyrie in July 2014 insisting that their “in-house firm”, DG Solicitors, supposedly responsible for litigation and debt collection, was regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).

“DG was established in March 2001 and was registered and regulated by the Law Society until 2007 when the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) took over responsibility for regulation, although DG remained registered with the Law Society,” the bank said.

HSCB also claimed that “DG filed accounts with the SRA and complied with all legal and regulatory requirements throughout its period of operation.”

The bank said the supposed in-house DG “firm” stopped trading in February 2014, several months before the Treasury Select Committee’s probe was launched.

It insisted its “litigation is now carried out by HSBC Litigation Services.”

But Wilson says DG Solicitors was not a firm – or legally structured in this capacity. He argues DG was a HSBC fabrication, consisting of a loose group of in-house HSBC lawyers.

“There was no such firm, as a search of solicitor firms on the Law Society website will show,” he told RT.

Wilson’s stance in this context is backed by the SRA. The financial fraud campaigner and whistleblower was given documentation from Arthur Shuter who had directly liaised with HSBC on the matter. Shuter had previously contacted the regulatory body in 2011, inquiring whether they were responsible for regulating DG Solicitors.

Beth Brown, an SRA staff member who carried out a comprehensive search of the body’s records, told Shuter “DG Solicitors is not a firm of solicitors of England and Wales.”

“I can further confirm that the firm DG Solicitors is not regulated by the SRA, and we have classified them as a commerce and industry organisation,” she added.

Contempt of parliament

Remarkably, this appears to overtly contradict the information the bank offered Parliament in July of this year in the midst of the TSC’s probe. It may also contradict a clause at the foot of letters HSBC potentially circulated to its customers that were in arrears.

Under UK law, any act conducted by either an MP or an ordinary member of the public that obstructs or interferes with Parliament’s capacity to perform its functions amounts to contempt of Parliament. The issuing of false evidence or information to a parliamentary committee such as the Treasury Select Committee falls directly within this category.

But Wilson argues HSBC didn’t just mislead Parliament. He says the bank may have deliberately misled their customers who were in arrears by sending them letters that inferred the debts they owed were being analyzed for the purpose of debt recovery by a legal firm that didn’t exist.

The whistleblower suggests many of these letters may also have stated in the small print that they were regulated by the SRA.

“The fact that some DG Solicitors letters stated at the bottom that they were regulated means that not only did HSBC lie to parliament, they committed a criminal offence by representing the “firm” as regulated,” Wilson told RT.

Whether HSBC engaged in unethical debt recovery methods as an aggressive means of collecting funds from customers in arrears remains unclear. But the possibility has not been ruled out.

‘Worse than Wonga’

In the case of controversial pay day lender firm Wonga, an investigation initiated by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and subsequently pursued by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), revealed the firm had sent threatening letters to customers in arrears from legal firms that didn’t exist. In some cases, the pay day lender also charged customers for administrative fees associated with the sending of these deceptive letters.

These immoral and unfair practices of debt collection, which put customers under extreme pressure to issue loan repayments, landed Wonga with hefty fines in the wake of the investigation. The pay day lender was forced to pay in excess of £2.6 million in compensation to approximately 45,000 customers.

While Wilson has directly notified the Treasury Select Committee about his concerns regarding HSBC’s alleged criminal activity, contempt of Parliament and deliberate deceit of its customers, he is yet to receive a response.

“HSBC’s practices are worse than Wonga’s, who never claimed to have been regulated by the SRA – they are trying to cover up their fraud by ‘misleading’ parliament,” he said.

Vaccine mafia targets Hollywood actors who try to protect children from toxic mercury

Actor and comedian Rob Schneider is the latest casualty in the war against free speech, as the fury of vaccine lovers everywhere prompted Schneider’s recent firing from an advertising gig with insurance giant State Farm. Reports indicate that State Farm canned Schneider for publicly raising concerns about the safety of vaccines several years prior, a major no-no in the mainstream entertainment world.

Known for his popular “making copies guy” schtick that was once featured on Saturday Night Live, Schneider had recently been hired by State Farm to resurrect this persona for a rotational television ad. Everything was fine until a few loudmouthed blogger “babes” riled up their mindless followers to petition for Schneider’s removal from the ad, citing his long-held opposition to vaccines as the impetus.

According to The Wrap, the push began when the self-proclaimed “babes” decided to post a video to YouTube calling on their respective supporters to ambush State Farm’s Facebook and Twitter pages with comments petitioning for Schneider’s removal from the advertising lineup. Like good little minions, many of the bloggers’ followers did just this, resulting in State Farm issuing a statement of surrender to their demands.

“[Schneider’s] ad has unintentionally been used as a platform for discussion unrelated to the products and services we provide,” said Phil Supple, State Farm’s director of public affairs, to PR Week. “With that, we are working to remove the ad from our rotation at this time.”

Regarding recent developments in the vaccine world, Schneider had issued a statement several weeks back that stressed the importance of information unveiled by U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) whistleblower Dr. William Thompson, who confessed to fabricating data on the safety of the MMR vaccine.

Schneider had also expressed opposition to the continued turmoil taking place in the Middle East, focusing on Israel’s alleged aggression against Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip. Back on July 21, 2014, Schneider posted a controversial “tweet” to Twitter stating: “The ugly inhuman siege of Gaza has had it’s deadliest day today,” for which some say he is now paying the price.

“We are all aware of the PC Hivemind Enforcement Brigade which scours the country for any sign of deviation from equalist dogma,” wrote Dr. Dan Phillips, M.D., in a recent piece for LewRockwell.com.

“But we are now seeing the emergence of a related phenomenon, the Conventional Wisdom (CW) Hivemind Enforcement Brigade that likewise scours the country for any sign of independent thought that contradicts what the Powers That Be have deemed unassailable truth.”

Free speech no longer tolerated in politically correct American culture

Unlike most of the shills in mainstream entertainment these days, Schneider has long been vocal about what he thinks, even when it isn’t popular or potentially jeopardizes his career. Opposing vaccinations and questioning what is really happening in the Middle East both fall into this “unpopular” category, or at least the not-politically-correct category.

It is no wonder, then, that Schneider has become the latest target of the thought police, who only accept other groupthink drones in their spheres of social influence. At one point in our nation’s history, having a voice and expressing it in the way that Schneider does was considered a patriotic duty. Today, however, it is viewed with contempt and disdain, and sadly portends much worse things to come for Americans who choose to exercise free speech.

The $9 Billion Witness: JP Morgan Chase Whistle-blower Alayne Fleischmann Risked It All

A week after he parted ways with Greenwald and Co.’s First Look Media, Matt Taibbi has re-emerged at Rolling Stone with a scathing story about Alayne Fleischmann, a former JPMorgan Chase securities lawyer who tried to blow the whistle on “massive criminal securities fraud” by the bank and Jamie ‘That’s Why I’m Richer Than You’ Dimon, only to have the government try to silence her with a $9 billion settlement.

In the piece – reportedly, originally intended to launch First Look’s digital magazine Racket – Fleischmann breaks her confidentiality agreement to detail what Taibbi calls “one of the biggest cases of white-collar crime in American history.” Taibbi describes Chase’s “rotten dog-meat loans,” their resulting “theft on a scale that blows the mind,” and, once Fleischmann tried to act to expose it all, the way she was blocked at every turn – by so-called regulators at the SEC, a court system that allowed Chase to use its billions to bury her evidence, and finally by a Justice Department cover-up through a series of cash-for-secrecy settlement deals.

Taibbi’s bitter conclusion: The idea that Attorney General Eric Holder cracked down on Chase was “a carefully contrived fiction.” A powerful, infuriating read.

Monsanto’s ‘Director of Millennial Engagement’ Says GMOs Are Really Cool

Monsanto, clearly worried about increasing concern for climate change and personal health among young people, hired a “director of millennial engagement,” to convince them that GMOs are great and Monsanto is cooler than the latest hipster band out of Brooklyn.

Thirty-two-year-old Vance Crowe has his work cut out for him. But he sounded like a good little “better living through (big corporate) science” soldier in an NPR interview last week. Monsanto is just a really, really cool place to work, he told the NPR audience.

“Monsanto is a place, just like many companies, where if you don’t actually know someone from the company, the only thing you see is the brand,” said Crowe. “Before I started working here, I thought everyone would be wearing dark suits and Matrix-style sunglasses. When I came for my job interview, I was greeted at the door by a woman in a sweater and ponytail, who eventually became my boss.”

The company is filled with hip young people from top to bottom too.

“One of the first things I did on the job was ride along with a Monsanto seed salesman,” said Crowe. “He is in his 30s, and has a big handlebar mustache and college education on breeding corn. He took me around and introduced me to farmers he’s been selling to. Many of the farmers were 50-plus years old, but they had a son or nephew learning from them. These are the millennial farmers who grew up on the farm and went away to school. When they come back to the farm, they’re pushing limits with more technology, and different ideas about cover crops.”

When the interviewer asked Crowe, “Are you charged with trying to change millennials’ perceptions of GMOs? If so, how will you do it?,” he responded, “We are listening and making sure the concerns we are trying to address are the ones people have. To me the science on GMOs is very clear, so why do people have trouble with this?”

Possibly they “have trouble,” because clear science on GMOs doesn’t exist, and they’re resistant to a company with a financial stake saying science has been settled on their side. In fact, science has already shown that some of the claims about GMOs super-productivity are overblown and that they have led to “superweeds” and increased pesticide use. As for whether GMO foods themselves are harmful to those who ingest them, there’s little solid science yet either way.

Another issue Crowe may have trouble with is Monsanto’s reputation for suing farmers, including some whose fields have been accidentally contaminated by GMO seeds, and a high-profile battle that ended up in the Supreme Court between Monsanto and farmers trying to ward off its aggressive tactics.

“A lot of people believe Monsanto is in the habit of suing farmers,” he said. “But it’s not true. We have sued farmers who violated contracts, but it’s something we hate to do. So one of the ways Monsanto has tried to demonstrate this is by explaining that all the money that’s adjudicated to us in a settlement is donated to the communities where the former customers are. We’ve taken zero dollars in profit from the cases that we win.”

Crowe’s attitude that GMO opponents are merely “loud” and a little irrational and just need some friendly conversation to make them see things Monsanto’s way hardly seems in line with his claim that “we are listening” and addressing peoples’ concerns.

“It’s been pretty clear for a long time that Monsanto has been really good at talking to and selling seeds to farmers and talking to Wall Street about our progress and growth,” he said. “But in between those two poles are consumers, and the company didn’t have a robust strategy for talking to them. It’s clear consumers have some strong feelings about how food should be produced and what sustainability is. And the tenor has gotten kind of loud.”

He said he found while attending this year’s SXSW Eco conference in Austin, Texas that “some people have really strong views against GMOs and some people are very comfortable with them. There were over 100 hours of programming, but people got worked up over GMOs. The challenge with something like SXSW Eco is that it doesn’t do anybody any good if people are so passionate that they’re yelling. The challenge is how can we enter the conversation so that people don’t feel like they have to yell to be heard?”

Maybe not treating them like they’re merely “worked up” and “so passionate that they’re yelling” for no good reason and really exploring why this issue was the one that engaged them would help.

But in Crowe’s world, all is going as planned. He implies that he was treated like a rock star when he and a colleague attended another panel there. “[We] went to a panel on sustainable fashion. Afterward, a huge group wanted to talk with him and how it was that he came to work at Monsanto. They invited us to go to a party, and by the end of it they were saying, ‘You need to get out and make sure people know your side of that story.’”

The problem is that for many people, millennials and otherwise, that side of the story doesn’t ring true.

Bound by faith and virtue to resist newly passed “homeless hate laws” in Fort Lauderdale, a 90-year-old homeless advocate and two ministers were arrested by a phalanx of burly cops for resolutely continuing to share food with homeless people in public, part of a “week of resistance” to a growing body of laws there and in at least 20 other cities that criminalize poor people by restricting their panhandling, camping, storing belongings, going to the bathroom and other activities deemed  “life sustaining” to the homeless – that is, essentially, for existing. The ordinance against food-sharing, which went into effect Friday, sparked a call for a week-long series of actions and protests by churches and advocacy groups; among them, Food Not Bombs vowed to mark the law’s passage on its first day, Halloween, by holding their usual weekly food share and greeting the city “with our middle fingers fully extended.”

Longtime homeless advocate Arnold Abbott, head of the non-profit Love Thy Neighbor, was likewise continuing to feed a line of hungry people on a sidewalk Sunday with a crew of helpers when he was arrested, along with pastors Dwayne Blackand and Mark Sims. Abbott, who has been feeding the hungry and homeless for over 20 years, successfully sued the city in 1999 to continue doing so. He and the others face up to 60 days in jail and a $500 fine. “These are the poorest of the poor, they have nothing – how do you turn them away?” he said after his arrest. “It’s man’s inhumanity to man is all it is.” The angry hungry crowd, evidently in agreement, shouted “Shame!” and “The world is watching” as police hauled him away. Today, several more activists were arrested when they tried to talk with city officials. Abbott, meanwhile, says he plans to bring food to the beach Wednesday evening, as usual, to feed those who need it.

The U.S., Russia, and China are locking horns in an ever intensifying power struggle. At least that’s what we’re told by the mainstream media and our own government. Virtually everyday the media presents us with stories of how Russia violated the airspace of some Western country or that China and the U.S. are hacking each others computer networks.

But what if that wasn’t the whole picture? What if the news was selected in a way to present a bias that would lead you to a desired conclusion? Webster’s defines propaganda as ‘ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one’s cause or to damage an opposing cause.’

The stories the mainstream media chooses to post as headlines do not reflect a true picture of the relationships between the G20 member countries. For example. Would you
be surprised to learn that a Russian Bank hired former Senators Trent Lott, R-Miss and John Breaux, D-La. or that despite being told Russia and the U.S. are bitter foes the
U.S. Marines are in a joint program with Russia’s Sikorsky developing the new CH-53 helicopters or that the Obama administration gave free military equipment to Russia? (1)(2)(3)

Nothing remotely of that nature is reported on the nightly news. If the Government labeled another country as aggressive and yet was looking to expand cooperation with them
under their joint space program or that they both are trying to block new nuclear power regulations post-Fukushima, would you question their relationship? That is in fact what we see as the U.S. Government is doing with Russia. (4)(5)

Knowing the French are about to deliver a warship to Russia or that Britain has sold more than £86m in military hardware to Russia in the past year would be  important factors to know as well.(6)(7)

Do corporations launch new business ventures like IHG (Holiday Inn) did in Russia if they
think the country is a potential threat? (8) Do governments let foreign corporations buy their assets if they think they are a potential enemy?

While the U.S., China, and Russia ramp up Cold War rhetoric, the true economic ties that connect the East and West are far removed from the public consciousness. At an Oct 20th meeting of the Russian Foreign Investment Advisory Council, Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukayev said,”Everyone confirmed their readiness to work in any conditions from the viewpoint of geopolitics and fundamental economic circumstances.” (11)

The countries ready to do business are the same that are typically portrayed as having disputes with Russia including the U.S., Britain, Sweden, Finland etc. (12)  While the media reports the West’s sanctions against Russia are “biting,” half of Russians polled say these Western sanctions will help them (13)(14).

SANCTIONS INEFFECTIVE

One has to question sanctions at all as Russia’s own report showed the trade volume between the U.S. and Russia actually went up by as much as 20% after sanctions began along with the fact that the Russian firm Oasis Beverages just purchased U.S. brewer Pabst (15)(16) The E.U. has similar sanctions on Russia but interestingly Russia’s Gazprom just purchased Europe’s largest gas storage facility as well as the Italian insulation firm Membrane. (17)(18) Again does a government sell an important asset like a gas storage facility to a potential enemy?

Echoing the cooperation the G20 has among member nations Russia’s Deputy Finance Minister Sergei Storchak at their meeting in Australia’s Cairns found no disputes on global issues (19)

The contradiction doesn’t stop there as the scale to which China is merging into the fabric of the G20 is phenomenal. Governments and corporations from Italy to Canada and all points in between are setting up agreements or are outright selling to China. We see the U.S. is partnered with China to train Afghan diplomats. (20) Luxembourg has a joint space cooperation with China.(21) Jaguar and Land Rover are to build a new plant in Shanghai. (22) German drug companies are pouring money into Chinese operations. (23)

By itself the U.S. real estate market is a favorite of the Chinese. (24) Not only in commerce but a special connection exists between China and the U.S. in education. (25) For example Yale University just received a $10 million donation and that’s on top of Harvard receiving a $15 million donation in September – both Chinese donors. (26)(27)

The Chinese love for American schools isn’t just at the University level however it’s also found in compulsory education as well. Private high schools in the U.S. are seeing a large
influx of Chinese students as cultural China and America are becoming more integrated than ever.(28) So I ask do wealthy parents send their children to live and be educated in a
country they deem to be a potential threat?  Does American business interests sell the Waldorf Astoria hotel, a mecca for New York elite, to an enemy? (29) Lets not forget Mao
Zedong’s involvement with the Yale school in China as a reminder of the West’s cooperation with the East.

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE

If we want to gain an appreciation of the relationships of the G20 member countries today we can look to history as a guide. We know that American corporations and banks were involved in aiding the NAZI and Communist regimes during the time when those regimes were known to be a threat to their own people. This contradiction exists today and the State-controlled media cannot be trusted to give a true representation of how the social, economic, and political realms flow between the G20 members. The Pentagon claims China is a growing military threat and yet American business, academia, and Government is becoming more intertwined with the Chinese every day.

Another reality history shows us is that military conflict does happen. Wars such as Vietnam prove that the dominant countries try to control smaller ones which leads us to the New World Order. The simple fact is the world’s elites don’t need large scale war to accomplish a one-world government. However they need enough chaos especially economically to bring about their twisted dream. As more jobs have been moved to China, we see the economic chaos that resulted in the G20 countries.

Instead of sound monetary policies being enacted we see the G20 countries central banks acting in concert pushing near zero interest rates and easy money. At some point one has to
look beneath the everyday propaganda from political talking heads and controlled media outlets to look at the hard data. That data proves the G20 countries are moving in a unified
direction socially, economically, and politically toward the New World Order.

Obviously, for all those who would not have understood it, what you have just read has no relationship with the reality and any resemblance with one or several existing characters would be purely coincidental (or not….). Can we be 10, 20 or 30 billion human beings to populate the planet and to consume? The answer is naturally negative, then in such a necessarily hypothetical case, than would we make men and women too? The transhumanism is not a fancy of the mind, it is even an ideology fundamentally profoundly disgusting that always existed even if it bore other names in other times. The transhumanism develops even in a relatively transparent way with almost bare face and finally, nobody finds so much anything wrong there, but that will there be a man when the man will scientifically be improved to become a superman, and does not it still remind you anything?

The first one it is that factually, by eliminating all the jobs and the working maximum to optimize the earnings, companies finally get out quite a shot in the forward foot because obviously, there will not be a solvent consumer anymore and thus of profit, then why to pursue this policy, wherever from the idea in reality the system does not try to save itself but “to surpass itself” and, from now on, the border of division between the rich and the poor people is not so much the money than the access to the eternal life.

Other big question, corollary of the first elements, you can see that the man sees his “marginal utility” collapsing. Mao said that a man was a mouth to be nourished but two arms (to work). Simple but justified economic calculation. The man with the two arms it is a “working strength”. Moreover, all our economy is based on this type of postulate. Nevertheless we see well that the man becomes useless and will become especially even more as the new machines which arrive will allow to make everything, or almost, without human intervention. The humanoids can replace us for 95 % of the tasks, while what will remain to the man?

If I want to believe in the ability of humanity to share and exceed all its faults, let us be reasonable, human history proves that there is little chance that we live in a world of Carebears where everyone would be nice and nobody would lack anything … So what about all those arms becoming too perfectly useless, I would say obsolete. How to solve the problem we could say modestly.

If we take the arguments after “environmentalists” and “transhumanists”, it seems only logical that a drastic depopulation policy would overcome the problems we face and these arguments, as odious as they are, are intellectually unstoppable. We have become too numerous, the planet can not sustain the current number of people in the current economic system, our ecological footprint is unbearable and we no longer have any need of labor. Finally, we could almost live forever, or the quest for eternity is obviously a human temptation since the dawn of time.

So of course, all this is the pure fiction…. and yet … If Mao said that a mouth to feed it was two useful arms, today he would say a mouth, it is always a mouth of excess, especially when there are 7 billions and when the arms, soon, will not be of no use any more. And Mao, the great humanist, what would he have done in such a context?

Alan Greenspan: QE Failed To Help The Economy, The Unwind Will Be Painful, “Buy Gold”

It appears it is time for some Hillary-Clinton-esque backtracking and Liesman-esque translation of just what the former Federal Reserve Chief really meant. As The Wall Street Journal reports, the Fed chief from 1987 to 2006 says the Fed’s bond-buying program fell short of its goals, and had a lot more to add.

Mr. Greenspan’s comments to the Council on Foreign Relations came as Fed officials were meeting in Washington, D.C., and expected to announce within hours an end to the bond purchases.

He said the bond-buying program was ultimately a mixed bag. He said that the purchases of Treasury and mortgage-backed securities did help lift asset prices and lower borrowing costs. But it didn’t do much for the real economy.

“Effective demand is dead in the water” and the effort to boost it via bond buying “has not worked,” said Mr. Greenspan. Boosting asset prices, however, has been “a terrific success.”

He observed that history shows central banks can only prick bubbles at great economic cost. “It’s only by bringing the economy down can you burst the bubble,” and that was a step he wasn’t willing to take while helming the Fed, he said.

The question of when officials should begin raising interest rates is “one of those questions I cannot answer,” Mr. Greenspan said.

He also said, “I don’t think it’s possible” for the Fed to end its easy-money policies in a trouble-free manner….

“Recent episodes in which Fed officials hinted at a shift toward higher interest rates have unleashed significant volatility in markets, so there is no reason to suspect that the actual process of boosting rates would be any different, Mr. Greenspan said.

“I think that real pressure is going to occur not by the initiation by the Federal Reserve, but by the markets themselves,” Mr. Greenspan he said.

And finally – while CNBC’s audience is told what a terrible thing gold is, “The Maestro”, having personally created the financial cataclysm the world finds itself in following a lifetime of belief in fiat, Keynesian ideology and “fixing” one bubble with an even greater and more destructive asset bubble, has suddenly had an epiphany and now has a very different message from the one he preached during his decades as the head of the Fed.

Mr. Greenspan said gold is a good place to put money these days given its value as a currency outside of the policies conducted by governments.

What Greenspan failed to add is that it is thanks to his disastrous policies (subsequently adopted by Bernanke and Yellen) that gold is the “place to put money.”

How canon law and contract law enslave you

For more than a year, I have been slowly studying Natural Law, common law, contract law, admiralty law, and canon law. This process of studying these laws has helped me to understand why the Western justice system is so corrupt. For example, in canon law terms, the word “person” doesn’t actually mean a living and breathing human being. Instead, it means a legal person, which is often associated with the name in all caps JOHN DOE.

The name in all caps is actually a corporate name and can be used to represent almost anything, including a public trust. In other words, when your name is written in all caps in a government document, contract, identification card (e.g., driver’s license), etc., it is referring to a legal but fictitious entity that doesn’t really have any rights, only privileges.

Nearly every human being born into the Western world isn’t really a true sovereign being, because their parents have signed their natural rights away to corporations, such as the UNITED STATES INC. In many Western countries, when a baby is born, a birth certificate is created and given to the parents to sign. What most parents don’t understand is that when they sign their baby’s birth certificate, they are giving their baby’s natural rights away to the federal government, which is a corporation.

By signing your birth certificate, your parents are giving the federal government the legal right to claim you as its “property.” As a result, you don’t really have any rights, only privileges. Furthermore, anything you create or buy is considered the property of the federal government. In other words, you are a slave. This process of signing away natural rights is also being practiced in many Eastern countries. The good news is that you can claim back your natural rights once you understand how to dispute the Western justice system and position yourself as the executor or beneficiary.

A Birth Certificate is a negotiable instrument, a registered security, a stock certificate evidencing, or representing, the preferred stock of the corporation and against which you are the surety; it is a pedigree chattel document establishing the existence of our straw man, a distinct artificial person with a fictitious name; it is a document of title to a straw man; it is a warehouse receipt for your body; delivery receipt; industrial bond between you (flesh-and-blood man or woman) and the industrial society and corporate US Government (artificial person).

Your birth certificate is one of the kinds of security instrument used by the Government to obtain loans from its creditor, under which it is bankrupt.

Most Western countries are under the rule of canon law and admiralty law

Another thing that most Westerners don’t understand is that most Western countries are under the rule of canon law and admiralty law, and thus these countries are controlled by the Vatican and certain secret societies, including but not limited to the Jesuits and the Illuminati. Many Eastern countries are also under the rule of canon law and admiralty law. Once you understand how the Western justice system truly works, you should know that for us human beings to truly free ourselves from the corporate federal government, we must understand how contract law, canon law, and admiralty law work, and replace them with common law and Natural Law (Spiritual Law). Natural Law is the most important law, because to achieve spiritual freedom we must understand it and live in harmony with it.

Contract law, canon law, and admiralty law are forms of “word magic” that were created by the Dark Magicians (the Controllers) to enslave humanity. These types of law are designed to trick us into giving our sovereignty away using contracts. Do you understand now why understanding how law works is essential for restoring our freedom and liberty? Understanding law is very empowering which is why they don’t teach you how law truly works in high school or college.

Contracts are like “magic spells” that are used by the Dark Magicians to take away our natural rights without infringing on our free will. A contract can be used for good or bad, but at its core, it is a way to place restrictions on our options and choices, reducing the power of our free will. Furthermore, a contract “supernaturally” binds us to its restrictions when we sign it. This is because when we sign a contract, we are consenting to the terms and conditions of the contract. Because contracts are used to bind you at the physical and spiritual levels, whenever you are given a contract to sign, you must always read it and understand it before signing it.

Report: The US Employed ‘At Least 1,000’ Nazis After World War II

At least 1,000 former Nazis were recruited by the CIA and FBI to spy on behalf of the United States during the Cold War, The New York Times reported Monday.

The article comes ahead of the release of a book written by Times reporter Eric Lichtblau titled “The Nazis Next Door: How America Became a Safe Haven for Hitler’s Men.”

As the book and the article explain, ex-Nazis were hired by American spy agencies at the height of the Cold War for their intelligence value against the Russians, providing leads to agency officials on communist “sympathizers.”

High-ranking SS officers like Otto von Bolschwing, mentor and top aide to Adolf Eichmann, a main architect of the “Final Solution,” were protected by leading intelligence officials like J. Edgar Hoover at the FBI and Allen Dulles at the CIA.

Records also show that some Nazis were not only recruited as spies, but were actively relocated to the US by the CIA. Von Bolschwing’s son, Gus von Bolschwing, who moved to New York City in 1954 along with his father, told The Times that he didn’t think his father’s relationship with the CIA was “consistent with our values as a country.”

How the I.R.S. Abuses Criminal Law to Steal Money from Innocent Americans

Over the weekend, the New York Times revealed that the Internal Revenue Service has been abusing a civil assets forfeiture law intended to target drug traffickers, racketeers, and terrorists. Instead of catching “evil-doers,” it more commonly uses these policies to confiscate money from innocent people without ever charging them with a crime.

The I.R.S. justifies its confiscations through what it calls “structuring,” or depositing less than $10,000 at a time to avoid having to report income-this is illegal. Pursuant to the Bank Secrecy Act, deposits of over 10,000 dollars must be reported by banks to the government, but the government also requires that banks report deposits under $10,000 that seem “suspicious.”

Last year, banks filed over 700,000 reports, and often, a mere bank report is enough for the government to obtain a “seizure warrant.” Further, there are over 100 multi-agency task forces dedicated to poring over bank statements, looking for assets to steal.

David Smith, a forfeiture expert, lawyer, and former federal prosecutor, told the Times:

“They’re going after people who are really not criminals…They’re middle-class citizens who have never had any trouble with the law.”

While in 2005 there were 114 asset seizures, by 2012 there were 639. Only 1 in 5 have been charged with criminal structuring.

One Mexican restaurant owner, Carole Hinders, deposited profits from her cash-only business for years, only to learn that the I.R.S. confiscated the $33,000 she had saved. She had to borrow money, abuse her credit cards, and take out a second mortgage to maintain her business.

“How can this happen? Who takes your money before they prove that you’ve done anything wrong with it?”

In another case, a candy and cigarette distributor, run by the same family for 27 years, lost nearly half a million dollars and in other instances, Maryland dairy farmers have been targeted. One retired Army sergeant began depositing money into a bank account to save money for his daughters’ college education, but the government took $66,000 and one daughter had to delay school for a year.

It is often expensive and unsuccessful to challenge the government’s seizures. The median seize was $34,000, but legal costs can be around $20,000.

Following questioning by the New York Times, the Chief of Criminal Investigation at the I.R.S., Richard Weber, said the I.R.S. would curtail the practice of seizing money from people who had done nothing wrong:

“This policy update will ensure that C.I. continues to focus our limited investigative resources on identifying and investigating violations within our jurisdiction that closely align with C.I.’s mission and key priorities.”

Just like many other arms of government, the I.R.S. has abused a policy purported to halt criminal, dangerous behavior and instead turned it against non-violent Americans.

Meanwhile, elites get away with whatever blatant crimes they want. HSBC was found guilty of laundering drug money, but the powerful banking cartel was required to pay a mere 1.9 billion dollar fine, about five weeks of profit. This is a theatrical slap on the wrist for an established banking cartel when working-class citizens, who struggle at the hands of banker greed, are stripped of their entire life savings for doing nothing wrong.

The I.R.S. is the agency that makes tax-payer funded war, militarization, and corporate dominance  possible. This agency relentlessly proves its corruption. Stories like these damage its credibility and expose its entire fraudulent foundation. However, as long as government has guns and the threat of force backing up its theft, abuses like these will continue to crop up and Americans will perpetually bankroll their own oppression.

The Myth of the Free Press

There is more truth about American journalism in the film “Kill the Messenger,” which chronicles the mainstream media’s discrediting of the work of the investigative journalist Gary Webb, than there is in the movie “All the President’s Men,” which celebrates the exploits of the reporters who uncovered the Watergate scandal.

The mass media blindly support the ideology of corporate capitalism. They laud and promote the myth of American democracy—even as we are stripped of civil liberties and money replaces the vote. They pay deference to the leaders on Wall Street and in Washington, no matter how perfidious their crimes. They slavishly venerate the military and law enforcement in the name of patriotism. They select the specialists and experts, almost always drawn from the centers of power, to interpret reality and explain policy. They usually rely on press releases, written by corporations, for their news. And they fill most of their news holes with celebrity gossip, lifestyle stories, sports and trivia. The role of the mass media is to entertain or to parrot official propaganda to the masses. The corporations, which own the press, hire journalists willing to be courtiers to the elites, and they promote them as celebrities. These journalistic courtiers, who can earn millions of dollars, are invited into the inner circles of power. They are, as John Ralston Saul writes, hedonists of power.

When Webb, writing in a 1996 series in the San Jose Mercury News, exposed the Central Intelligence Agency’s complicity in smuggling tons of cocaine for sale into the United States to fund the CIA-backed Contra rebels in Nicaragua, the press turned him into a journalistic leper. And over the generations there is a long list of journalistic lepers, from Ida B. Wells to I.F. Stone to Julian Assange.

The attacks against Webb have been renewed in publications such as The Washington Post since the release of the film earlier this month. These attacks are an act of self-justification. They are an attempt by the mass media to mask the collaboration between themselves and the power elite. The mass media, like the rest of the liberal establishment, seek to wrap themselves in the moral veneer of the fearless pursuit of truth and justice. But to maintain this myth they have to destroy the credibility of journalists such as Webb and Assange who shine a light on the sinister and murderous inner workings of empire, who care more about truth than news.

The country’s major news outlets—including my old employer The New York Times, which wrote that there was “scant proof” of Webb’s contention—functioned as guard dogs for the CIA. Soon after the 1996 exposé appeared, The Washington Post devoted nearly two full pages to attacking Webb’s assertions. The Los Angeles Times ran three separate articles that slammed Webb and his story. It was a seedy, disgusting and shameful chapter in American journalism. But it was hardly unique. Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair, in the 2004 article “How the Press and the CIA Killed Gary Webb’s Career,” detailed the dynamics of the nationwide smear campaign.

Webb’s newspaper, after printing a mea culpa about the series, cast him out. He was unable to work again as an investigative journalist and, fearful of losing his house, he committed suicide in 2004. We know, in part because of a Senate investigation led by then-Sen. John Kerry, that Webb was right. But truth was never the issue for those who opposed the journalist. Webb exposed the CIA as a bunch of gunrunning, drug-smuggling thugs. He exposed the mass media, which depend on official sources for most of their news and are therefore hostage to those sources, as craven handmaidens of power. He had crossed the line. And he paid for it.

If the CIA was funneling hundreds of millions of dollars in drugs into inner-city neighborhoods to fund an illegal war in Nicaragua, what did that say about the legitimacy of the vast covert organization? What did it tell us about the so-called war on drugs? What did it tell us about the government’s callousness and indifference to the poor, especially poor people of color at the height of the crack epidemic? What did it say about rogue military operations carried out beyond public scrutiny?

These were questions the power elites, and their courtiers in the press, were determined to silence.

Biotech’s Bizarre World: 7 Genetically Modified Animals

You have to wonder what makes a genetic engineer’s mind tick. Victor Frankenstein claimed to be creating his monster for the betterment of humankind, but it seems more likely that he did so out of arrogance or a desire to play God. When you read about the 7 genetically engineered animals that have been created in the last few decades, you might ask yourself – exactly what motivates the biotech industry? If they aren’t letting loose GMO mosquitoes and moths, or creating suicide seeds – here’s what they do:

1. Dolly the Sheep

The first ever GMO mammal, Dolly the sheep was put to sleep in February of 2003 after she was discovered to have a progressive lung disease. She was ‘born’ on July 5, 1996 after researched by Dr. Ian Wilmut and his team from the Roslin Institute research centre.

2. A GMO Dog

Man’s best friend glows. Imagine tampering with the genes of your loving pet. A research team from Seoul National University (SNU) created a genetically modified female beagle, named Tegon. She was ‘born’ in 2009, and she glows fluorescent green under ultraviolet light if given a doxycycline antibiotic.

“The creation of Tegon opens new horizons since the gene injected to make the dog glow can be substituted with genes that trigger fatal human diseases,” the news agency quoted lead researcher Lee Byeong-chun as saying.

3. Bald Chickens

Chickens without feathers were genetically altered in Hebrew University in Israel to grow quickly, but without any protective covering. Researchers claim there are many reasons why bald chickens are necessary. They point to the fact that fast-growing “boiler chickens” produce excessive body heat and may suffer tremendously in warmer climates, so the lack of feathers would make these creatures more comfortable, but animal protection groups are leery. The removal of chickens’ feathers makes them more susceptible to parasitic infections, and can make it more difficult for them to mate.

4. GMO Goats

Genetically engineered goats were created by a team at a Framingham, Massachusetts -based Genzyme Transgenics Corporation, Tufts University and Louisiana State University. Why? To produce a human protein that affects blood clotting. Three female goats posed for a picture in April of 1999 to show off the work of the scientists.

5. GMO Pterophyllum Scalara Fish

These GMO fish were glowing in a tank under a blacklight while being displayed at the 2013 Bio Expo in Taipei.

6. Genetically Engineered Angelfish (Pterophyllum)

These fish glow in a tank under a blacklight at a fish farm in Pingtung, southern Taiwan, as of September 16, 2010. The genetically modified creatures are the world’s first fluorescent angelfish created by a joint project between Taiwan’s Academia Sinica and Jy Lin, a private biotechnology company. The breed is the largest fluorescent fish in the world. They are still able to mate and reproduce, which is more than we can say for Monsanto’s suicide seeds.

7. Transgenic Sheep

Transgenic sheep were grown in China using ‘a simplified technique’ – handmade cloning. They were successfully born on March 26, 2012 due to the efforts of scientists from BGI, the world’s largest genomics organization, together with the Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Shihezi University, Xinjiang province.

There are many other genetically modified animals, too.

Cytoplasmic transfer, a practice which allows scientists the ability to create GMO human babies, is technically illegal in the U.S., but the current regulatory framework offers little in the way of enforcement capacity against those that breach this moratorium. Another Deutsche Banker And Former SEC Enforcement Attorney Commits Suicide

Back on January 26, a 58-year-old former senior executive at German investment bank behemoth Deutsche Bank, William Broeksmit, was found dead after hanging himself at his London home, and with that, set off an unprecedented series of banker suicides throughout the year which included former Fed officials and numerous JPMorgan traders.

Following a brief late summer spell in which there was little if any news of bankers taking their lives, as reported previously, the banker suicides returned with a bang when none other than the hedge fund partner of infamous former IMF head Dominique Strauss-Khan, Thierry Leyne, a French-Israeli entrepreneur, was found dead after jumping off the 23rd floor of one of the Yoo towers, a prestigious residential complex in Tel Aviv.

Just a few brief hours later the WSJ reported that yet another Deutsche Bank veteran has committed suicide, and not just anyone but the bank’s associate general counsel, 41 year old Calogero “Charlie” Gambino, who was found on the morning of Oct. 20, having also hung himself by the neck from a stairway banister, which according to the New York Police Department was the cause of death. We assume that any relationship to the famous Italian family carrying that last name is purely accidental.

Here is his bio from a recent conference which he attended:

Charlie J. Gambino is a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel in the Regulatory, Litigation and Internal Investigation group for Deutsche Bank in the Americas. Mr. Gambino served as a staff attorney in the United Securities and Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement from 1997 to 1999. He also was associated with the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom from 1999 to 2003. He is a frequent speaker at securities law conferences. Mr. Gambino is a member of the American Bar Association and the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.

As a reminder, the other Deutsche Bank-er who was found dead earlier in the year, William Broeksmit, was involved in the bank’s risk function and advised the firm’s senior leadership; he was “anxious about various authorities investigating areas of the bank where he worked,” according to written evidence from his psychologist, given Tuesday at an inquest at London’s Royal Courts of Justice. And now that an almost identical suicide by hanging has taken place at Europe’s most systemically important bank, and by a person who worked in a nearly identical function – to shield the bank from regulators and prosecutors and cover up its allegedly illegal activities with settlements and fines – is surely bound to raise many questions.

The WSJ reports that Mr. Gambino had been “closely involved in negotiating legal issues for Deutsche Bank, including the prolonged probe into manipulation of the London interbank offered rate, or Libor, and ongoing investigations into manipulation of currencies markets, according to people familiar with his role at the bank.”

He previously was an associate at a private law firm and a regulatory enforcement lawyer from 1997 to 1999, according to his online LinkedIn profile and biographies for conferences where he spoke. But most notably, as his LinkedIn profile below shows, like many other Wall Street revolving door regulators, he started his career at the SEC itself where he worked from 1997 to 1999.

“Charlie was a beloved and respected colleague who we will miss. Our thoughts and sympathy are with his friends and family,” Deutsche Bank said in a statement.

Going back to the previous suicide by a DB executive, the bank said at the time of the inquest that Mr. Broeksmit “was not under suspicion of wrongdoing in any matter.” At the time of Mr. Broeksmit’s death, Deutsche Bank executives sent a memo to bank staff saying Mr. Broeksmit “was considered by many of his peers to be among the finest minds in the fields of risk and capital management.” Mr. Broeksmit had left a senior role at Deutsche Bank’s investment bank in February 2013, but he remained an adviser until the end of 2013. His most recent title was the investment bank’s head of capital and risk-optimization, which included evaluating risks related to complicated transactions.

A thread connecting Broeksmit to wrongdoing, however, was uncovered earlier this summer when Wall Street on Parade referenced his name in relation to the notorious at the time strategy provided by Deutsche Bank and others to allow hedge funds to avoid paying short-term capital gains taxes known as MAPS (see How RenTec Made More Than $34 Billion In Profits Since 1998: “Fictional Derivatives“)

Broeksmit’s name first emerged in yesterday’s Senate hearing as Senator Carl Levin, Chair of the Subcommittee, was questioning Satish Ramakrishna, the Global Head of Risk and Pricing for Global Prime Finance at Deutsche Bank Securities in New York. Ramakrishna was downplaying his knowledge of conversations about how the scheme was about changing short term gains into long term gains, denying that he had been privy to any conversations on the matter.

Levin than asked: “Did you ever have conversations with a man named Broeksmit?” Ramakrishna conceded that he had and that the fact that the scheme had a tax benefit had emerged in that conversation. Ramakrishna could hardly deny this as Levin had just released a November 7, 2008 transcript of a conversation between Ramakrishna and Broeksmit where the tax benefit had been acknowledged.

Another exhibit released by Levin was an August 25, 2009 email from William Broeksmit to Anshu Jain, with a cc to Ramakrishna, where Broeksmit went into copious detail on exactly what the scheme, internally called MAPS, made possible for the bank and for its client, the Renaissance Technologies hedge fund. At one point in the two-page email, Broeksmit reveals the massive risk the bank is taking on, writing: “Size of portfolio tends to be between $8 and $12 billion long and same amount of short. Maximum allowed usage is $16 billion x $16 billion, though this has never been approached.”

Broeksmit goes on to say that most of Deutsche’s money from the scheme “is actually made by lending them specials that we have on inventory and they pay far above the regular rates for that.”

It would appear that with just months until the regulatory crackdown and Congressional kangaroo circus, Broeksmit knew what was about to pass and being deeply implicated in such a scheme, preferred to take the painless way out.

The question then is just what major regulatory revelation is just over the horizon for Deutsche Bank if yet another banker had to take his life to avoid being cross-examined by Congress under oath? For a hint we go back to another report, this time by the FT, which yesterday noted that Deutsche Bank will set aside just under €1bn towards the numerous legal and regulatory issues it faces in its third quarter results next week, the bank confirmed on Friday.

In a statement made after the close of markets, the Frankfurt-based lender said it expected to publish litigation costs of €894m when it announces its results for the July-September period on October 29.

The extra cash will add to Deutsche’s already sizeable litigation pot, where the bank has yet to be fined in connection with the London interbank rate-rigging scandal.

It is also facing fines from US authorities over alleged mortgage-backed securities misselling and sanctions violations, which have already seen rivals hit with heavy fines.

Deutsche has also warned that damage from global investigations into whether traders attempted to manipulate the foreign-exchange market could have a material impact on the bank.

The extra charge announced on Friday will bring Deutsche’s total litigation reserves to €3.1bn. The bank also has an extra €3.2bn in so-called contingent liabilities for fines that are harder to estimate.

Clearly Deutsche Bank is slowly becoming Europe’s own JPMorgan – a criminal bank whose past is finally catching up to it, and where legal fine after legal fine are only now starting to slam the banking behemoth. We will find out just what the nature of the latest litigation charge is next week when Deutsche Bank reports, but one thing is clear: in addition to mortgage, Libor and FX settlements, one should also add gold. Recall from around the time when the first DB banker hung himself: it was then that Elke Koenig, the president of Germany’s top financial regulator, Bafin, said that in addition to currency rates, manipulation of precious metals “is worse than the Libor-rigging scandal.”

It remains to be seen if Calogero’s death was also related to precious metals rigging although it certainly would not be surprising. What is surprising, is that slowly things are starting to fall apart at the one bank which as we won’t tire of highlighting, has a bigger pyramid of notional derivatives on its balance sheet than even JPMorgan, amounting to 20 times more than the GDP of Germany itself, and where if any internal investigation ever goes to the very top, then Europe itself, and thus the world, would be in jeopardy.

At this point it is probably worth reminding to what great lengths regulators would go just to make sure that Deutsche Bank would never be dragged into a major litigation scandal: recall that the chief enforcer of the SEC during the most critical period following the great crash of 2008, Robert Khuzami, worked previously from 2002 to 2009 at, drumroll, Deutsche Bank most recently as its General Counsel (see “Robert Khuzami Stands To Lose Up To $250,000 If He Pursues Action Against Deutsche Bank” and “Circle Jerk 101: The SEC’s Robert Khuzami Oversaw Deutsche Bank’s CDO, Has Recused Himself Of DB-Related Matters“). The same Khuzami who just landed a $5 million per year contract (with a 2 year guarantee) with yet another “law firm”, Kirkland and Ellis. One wonders: if and when the hammer falls on Deutsche Bank, will it perchance be defended by the same K&E and its latest prominent hire, Robert Khuzami himself?       

But usually it is best to just avoid litigation altogether. Which is why perhaps sometimes it is easiest if the weakest links, those whose knowledge can implicate the people all the way at the top, quietly commit suicide in the middle of the night…
