Wilhelm Reich was a physician-scientist whose investigation of energy in human emotions led to his discovery of a previously unknown energy which Reich called “orgone” energy. Reich found this energy (somewhat similar to the chinese concept of chi) exists in all living matter and in the cosmos. It is a life energy.
In 1954, the Federal Food and Drug Administration obtained an Injunction by default which ordered Reich to stop using orgone therapy to heal people. Reich refused to recognize their authority as non-scientists to stop his reasearch.
Reich was convicted of contempt of court and imprisoned in Lewisburg Penitentiary where he died on November 3, 1957. The FBI raided his offices and burned his books and research papers.

Royal Raymond Rife (May 16, 1888 August 5, 1971) was an American inventor known for his belief that he could observe and render inert a number of viruses which he thought were causal factors in several diseases, most notably cancer. The observations were made though a specially designed optical microscope, only five of which were ever constructed. Rife claimed that a “beam ray” device could devitalize the pathogens by inducing destructive resonances in their constituent chemicals.
Rife’s claims could not be independently replicated, and active scientific interest in the devices had dissipated by the 1950s. Rife blamed the scientific rejection of his claims on a conspiracy involving the American Medical Association (AMA), the Department of Public Health, and other elements of “organized medicine”, which had “brainwashed” potential supporters of his devices.
Interest in Rife’s claims was revived in some alternative medical spheres by the book The Cancer Cure That Worked (1987), which claimed that Rife’s work was successful. Comparing the Divide: The oil that lies underneath Big Spring, Texas, and Warri, Nigeria, creates economic distance and physical barriers between workers who extract the crude and their privileged bosses. Big Spring and Nigeria also share similar Gini coefficients — the standard measure of income inequality — of .431 (Big Spring) and .437 (Nigeria).
WARRI, Nigeria — On the outskirts of Warri, the brooding commercial capital of Nigeria’s oil-rich Delta State, the streets leading into brand new multi-million dollar developments reek of crude oil.
In a casual display of excess, gallons of the delta’s “light and sweet” crude — possibly the most valuable commodity on the planet — are dumped daily into the open gutters to suffocate the mosquitoes breeding in the stagnant water.
Starting in 2009, when the government enacted an amnesty program that saw several thousand Delta fighters exchange weapons for cash, followed by the election of President Goodluck Jonathan, a native of the Niger Delta, there has been an overall effort to redirect oil wealth back to the communities that host Africa’s largest oil industry. Since then, a small, emerging segment of the population — primarily politicians and former militants with access to government contracts and revenues — has grown spectacularly wealthy and powerful, while most Nigerians remain poor and beholden to the generosity of the elite.
In communities like Ubeji, a neighborhood in Warri, wealth from oil rents fuels the construction of mansions at a furious pace, bypassing the building of roads and other public infrastructure, like water and electricity. As a result, there is no urban plan. Bumpy dirt paths weave through a random scattering of lots featuring custom metal gates, electric security fences, private water towers, industrial-sized generators and paved driveways. Black luxury cars with dark tinted windows slink through the jungle maze and disappear into fortresses.
“The government doesn’t provide anything,” explained Moses Okotie, a resident of Ubeji who works for a local oil company operating between Warri and the nearby Escravos terminal – Chevron’s largest oil tank firm in the country, one of the largest oil producers in the world. “So we have build it ourselves. We are the government here.”
Every morning, throngs of people gather outside the steel gates of these homes to wait for a possible meeting with the community’s “chairmen,” oil barons who sit atop vast hierarchies upon which thousands of people depend, both formally and informally, for a lifeline. Their “boys” man the entrances, dressed in high fashion purchased on recent trips to London, Paris and New York City. Many of the new oil rich here own second homes in Texas, close to expat American oil workers who work on their land.
“The people who are here are really trying,” explained another woman lingering at the gate, seeking support for a talent show for disadvantaged youth in Warri. “I’m happy with anyone opportune to penetrate the oil industry here. These are the people that allow our community to eat.”
Along with increasing the numbers of mansions, the rise of wealth has increased investments in malls, movie theaters, hotels and mega churches throughout oil boomtowns such as Warri and nearby Port Harcourt. Luxury hotels such as the Protea Ekpan in Warri cater to the Nigerian and expat oil and gas elite and to Nigerian politicians with rooms priced between $400-600 per night.
In the evenings, politicians in flowing gowns file into the marble lobby flanked with armed military escorts, rifles double- and triple-clipped with duct tape – protection against the constant threat of kidnapping and armed robbery, the Delta’s other booming commercial industries. In the hotel’s gourmet restaurant, oil company workers hold muffled conversations with security consultants over champagne and fresh fruit.
“We call it padi-padi politics,” explained Ramzen Edema, while waiting on his boss — a local chief and pipeline contractor — to finish a meeting with an oil company representative at the Protea Ekpan bar, “you have to know someone to get something.”
“That’s why I am here,” he said. “Education doesn’t mean anything in this country, what’s necessary is loyalty to your chairman. You just do what he says. You don’t think, you don’t argue, you follow the leader.”
And while the interior atmosphere matches that of any five-star hotel globally, its back view abuts a smoky, grey expanse of rusting refineries and constantly burning gas flares. Just outside the gates — along a road lined by the head offices for Chevron, Texaco, Shell and the residential camps of their employees — homeless vagrants live in smoldering refuse dumps between the express lanes. Polio victims crawl on their hands and knees begging for stray bills from cars leaving the garrisoned compounds.
The source of this wealth is not far away. The intricate waterways surrounding Warri contain some of the world’s largest deposits of light sweet crude — easily refined and therefore highly sought on the global market.
On Warri’s swampy fringes, where new developments sit atop freshly cleared mangroves and dark mud soaked with crude oil, massive tank firms store petroleum products shipped in from the nearby creeks. The firms are owned by the new elites based in the city. Surrounding the tank firms, seagoing vessels line the waterways, waiting to load millions of barrels of raw crude oil before setting forth across the Atlantic. Hundreds of rusty oil tanker trucks line the roads to transport diesel, petrol and kerosene to filling stations across the nation.
Despite being Africa’s largest oil producing region and the fifth largest supplier of crude oil to the United States, fuel for daily use is among Nigeria’s scarcest and most expensive commodities. Due to constant power outages, Nigerians who can afford them rely on privately-owned generators for electricity. The poor live in darkness.
Oil provides roughly 87 percent of government revenues, 90 percent of foreign exchange earnings, 96 percent of export revenues, and almost half of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). However, despite the fact that the Nigerian exchequer takes in more than $50 billion from oil annually, more than 90 percent of Nigerians live on less than $2 a day and 70 percent live on less than $1 a day. In the Niger Delta, youth unemployment is at 40 percent. Hovering at the fringes of the oil industry are those cut out from the extreme wealth that flows to the politicians and those with connections to them.
In the evenings, tanker drivers park their vehicles in line at the tank firms and bathe in nearby ponds coated with the sheen of diesel fuel. Weaving in and out of the waiting trucks are school-age children, hawking goods like satchel water and spiced meat to help support their families and themselves.
Godwin, a 15-year-old boy who lives with his uncle in a nearby village, works there every day after school. He sells meat pies from 3 p.m. until everything is sold, usually around 10 p.m., leaving little time for homework. His uncle forces him to work in order to pay for his school fees.
“If I don’t work, I don’t go to school,” he explained, straining his neck to keep the heavy load balanced on his head. “I just pray someone can help me to further myself, but I don’t have any connection.”
In Nigeria, where unregulated corruption has concentrated extreme oil wealth into the hands of a small group of elites, while systematically denying most of the population access to even the most basic amenities, a great many rely on individuals to fill the safety net where the state has failed. Those without connections to the wealth flowing through the center live a precarious and unrelenting day-to-day struggle for survival.
Tucked away throughout back corners of Warri’s new developments are hordes of migrant laborers who have set up nomadic camps in the shells of the half-finished concrete mansions. Most of these young men migrated from Niger within the past two years, fleeing drought.
Every morning, they gather at nearby bus stops or construction sites for builders to contract them. Someone walking into these areas can be immediately surrounded by hundreds of desperate faces selling their labor for less than $10 a day.
In the evening, after work, they quietly pack away to the unfinished buildings; setting up outdoor campfires where they boil rice in carefully rationed communal vats. A twenty-room unfinished mansion can house up to 100 workers for the night. They sleep scattered on mats, exposed night after night to the ferocious onslaught of the delta’s mosquitoes.
“In our place, the grass doesn’t grow,” explained Kadir Abdul, an 18-year-old from Niger with intricate Fulani tribal marking carved into his face and dressed in tattered rags, “so we had to come to this side, where there is work.”
Illegal and looked down upon by Nigerians, who call them “boko,” they are the people helping to build the labor-intensive mansions, doing the most menial jobs of clearing the jungle brush, digging holes in the sandy dirt, laying stone, dredging the swamps.
Abdul arrived in Warri about eight months ago, traveling by foot over the porous border in northern Nigeria and then taking the 20-hour bus ride down to the delta from Kano. For the past month, he has been working seven days a week, clearing out a plot of land owned by one of the most powerful businessmen and community leaders in the Niger Delta.
With a rented pick axe, shovel and wheelbarrow, Abdul and four others dig away at a strip of overgrown earth next to one of Shell’s high-pressure pipelines—which cuts through the community and is used by locals to burn their refuse and by nomadic herders from Niger to graze their cattle.
They are making way for the expansion of the estate — a dozen acre fortress complete with a pool, a separate entertainment center, 15 cars, a driving range, and a private zoo of ostriches, peacocks, and gazelles. This latest addition will serve to house a formidable security detail manning the gilded, 12-foot high entrance to the grounds, a quarter of a mile from the current gate.
“There is trouble in this country,” explained a private security consultant who is overseeing the construction. “And this town is very volatile, we have many armed robbers, thieves, kidnappers… They are brutal. They can do anything to penetrate the gates, that is why we need to build them higher and higher.”
Nevertheless, it is where people will wait, farther down the road, for a chance to see the “chairman” — and possibly find a lifeline.
An illusion it will be, so large, so vast, it will escape their perception.
Those who will see it will be thought of as insane.
We will create separate fronts to prevent them from seeing the connection between us.
We will behave as if we are not connected to keep the illusion alive.
Our goal will be accomplished one drop at a time so as to never bring suspicion upon our selves.
This will also prevent them from seeing the changes as they occur.
We will always stand above the relative field of their experience for we know the secrets of the absolute.
We will work together always and will remain bound by blood and secrecy.
Death will come to he who speaks.
We will keep their lifespan short and their minds weak while pretending to do the opposite.
We will use our knowledge of science and technology in subtle ways so they will never see what is happening.
We will use soft metals, aging accelerators and sedatives in food and water; also in the air.
They will be blanketed by poisons everywhere they turn.
The soft metals will cause them to lose their minds.
We will promise to find a cure from our many fronts, yet we will feed them more poison.
The poisons will be absorbed through their skin and mouths; they will destroy their minds and reproductive systems.
From all this, their children will be born dead, and we will conceal this information.
The poisons will be hidden in everything that surrounds them, in what they drink, eat, breathe and wear.
We must be ingenious in dispensing the poisons for they can see far.
We will teach them that the poisons are good, with fun images and musical tones.
Those they look up to will help.
We will enlist them to push our poisons.
They will see our products being used in film and will grow accustomed to them and will never know their true effect.
When they give birth we will inject poisons into the blood of their children and convince them it’s for their help.
We will start early on, when their minds are young, we will target their children with what children love most, sweet things.
When their teeth decay we will fill them with metals that will kill their mind and steal their future.
When their ability to learn has been affected, we will create medicine that will make them sicker and cause other diseases for which we will create yet more medicine.
We will render them docile and weak before us by our power.
They will grow depressed, slow and obese, and when they come to us for help, we will give them more poison.
We will focus their attention toward money and material goods so they many never connect with their inner self.
We will distract them with fornication, external pleasures and games so they may never be one with the oneness of it all.
Their minds will belong to us and they will do as we say.
If they refuse we shall find ways to implement mind-altering technology into their lives.
We will use fear as our weapon.
We will establish their governments and establish opposites within.
We will own both sides.
We will always hide our objective but carry out our plan.
They will perform the labor for us and we shall prosper from their toil.
Our families will never mix with theirs.
Our blood must be pure always, for that is the way.
We will make them kill each other when it suits us.
We will keep them separated from the oneness by dogma and religion.
We will control all aspects of their lives and tell them what to think and how.
We will guide them kindly and gently letting them think they are guiding themselves.

Ships should be able to sail directly over the north pole by the middle of this century, considerably reducing the costs of trade between Europe and China but posing new economic, strategic and environmental challenges for governments, according to scientists.
The dramatic reduction in the thickness and extent of late summer sea ice that has taken place in each of the last seven years has already made it possible for some ice-strengthened ships to travel across the north of Russia via the “northern sea route”. Last year a total of 46 ships made the trans-Arctic passage, mostly escorted at considerable cost by Russian icebreakers.
But by 2050, say Laurence C. Smith and Scott R. Stephenson at the University of California in the journal PNAS on Monday, ordinary vessels should be able to travel easily along the northern sea route, and moderately ice-strengthened ships should be able to take the shortest possible route between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, passing over the pole itself. The easiest time would be in September, when annual sea icecover in the Arctic Ocean is at its lowest extent.
The scientists took two classes of vessels and then simulated whether they would be able to steam through the sea ice expected in seven different climate models. In each case they found that the sea routes opened up considerably after 2049.
“The emergence of a … corridor directly over the north pole indicates that sea ice will become sufficiently thin such that a critical technical threshold is surpassed, and the shortest great circle route thus becomes feasible, for ships with moderate ice-breaking capability,” says the paper.
“The prospect of common open water ships, which comprise the vast majority of the global fleet, entering the Arctic Ocean in late summer, and even its remote central basin by moderately ice-strengthened vessels heightens the urgency for a mandatory International Maritime Organisation regulatory framework to ensure adequate environmental protections, vessel safety standards, and search-and-rescue capability,” it adds.
The northern sea route has been shown to save a medium-sized bulk carrier 18 days and 580 tonnes of bunker fuel on a journey between northern Norway and China. Shipowners have said it can save them €180,000-€300,000 on each voyage. A direct route over the pole could save up to 40% more fuel and time.
As the Catholic Church’s College of Cardinals meets to begin the process of selecting a new pope, a so-called “fake bishop” has been caught seeking out a true insider’s look at the normally secretive process.
The impostor, identified as Ralph Napierski, was reportedly caught sneaking into a gathering of cardinals. Before his ruse was discovered, Napierski had already passed by a security station manned by Swiss Guards and had even posed for photos with at least one high-profile (and real) cardinal.
According to USA Today, security became suspicious of Napierski when they realized his cassock seemed shorter than appropriate. Also tip-offs: Napierski wore a black fedora instead of a skull-cap, and his bright purple sash was actually a common scarf.
According to The Telegraph, Napierski told reporters he belonged to the reportedly non-existent Italian Orthodox Church. A blog that appears to be associated with Napierski claims he is a bishop of a Catholic order called the Corpus Dei, also said to be fabricated. Napierski’s contact information on the blog points to an address in Germany.
German cellist Alban Gerhardt is speaking out against the TSA after an incident last Wednesday at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport where agents of the administration snapped his rare Heinrich Knopf cello in two.
TSA starts stopping people on US highways without warrants or probable cause.
This is a picture of two Transportation Security Administration screeners leaving work last week.
But look closely. They’re nowhere near an airport. In fact, if you’ve ever been to Washington, then you’ll recognize the area just outside a Metro station near a congressional office building.
This is just one the images the TSA didn’t want you to see last week.
How do I know? Because when I asked the agency assigned to protect America’s transportation systems about the picture, its response was “off the record” – meaning that I’m not allowed to tell you what it said.
But a legislative assistant who works in a nearby office building filled in the details.
“The two agents were at the Capitol South Metro Station roughly between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday evening,” he says. “They had a white table set up inside the station and were randomly inspecting purses and bags. There were also a few officers as you can see standing next to the dark blue van in the picture that were 10 yards or so past the table, standing watch.”
I was able to independently confirm that the TSA agents were there and that they were working. But beyond that, not much.
The fact that TSA operates outside of airports may come as a surprise to some Americans. The agency’s so-called Visible Intermodal Prevention and Response teams work mostly in mass transit in big metropolitan areas, but not exclusively. They’ve been seen at ballgames, truckstops and even reportedly got themselves banned from Amtrak stations for a short while.
But why were agents at the capitol? Maybe it had something to do with the presence of a group called Freedom to Travel USA?
The TSA would probably prefer you didn’t watch this report about the organization, or its co-founder, Wendy Thomson.
But if you did, here’s what you’d learn: That almost every step the agency has taken to protect us from airborne terrorists has either been ineffective or wasteful, or both. And that they’ve got the data to prove it.
One Freedom to Travel member, who also happens to be a tenured mathematics professor, applied something called Bayes Rule and the concept of Base Rate Fallacy to the TSA’s behavior-detection methods. Stay with me, here. It revealed that even if TSA’s current screening practices were 100 percent effective, only one in 5 million flagged “high risk” passengers would be a terrorist.
“The experience to date is 50,000 false positives and 16 known terrorists not flagged,” says Thomson. “No known terrorists have ever been flagged.”
Here’s another image the TSA wishes you wouldn’t look at: it’s footage of Thomas Harkins. A decade ago, Harkins was a Catholic priest working at churches in New Jersey. But the Diocese of Camden reportedly removed him from the ministry because it found he sexually abused two young girls, and a third woman is now claiming to be one of his victims.
Guess where he works now? As a TSA supervisor at Philadelphia International Airport.
Don’t they screen their job applicants?
This doesn’t look good either. A TSA agent in Phoenix who reportedly insisted on screening a breast cancer survivor in public. TSA rules say you’re entitled to a private screening.
The result? The passenger, Cindy Gates, says she popped out her prosthetic breast and threw it.
And finally, here’s a video the TSA really wishes it could delete, if such things were allowed. It’s the agency’s former administrator, Kip Hawley, who continues to promote a new book that’s highly critical of the agency.
Hawley has called airport security an “unending nightmare” from which common sense has been removed, and like many other TSA critics, he thinks the time has come to reform the agency.
But we should see these images. All of them. Not because the TSA doesn’t want us to, but because more information makes us better travelers, and indeed, voters.
The problems of airport security don’t rise to the level of becoming an election-year issue, but this isn’t about airport security anymore. This is about getting scanned and frisked at a ballgame, the train station, and outside Congress.
The TSA doesn’t want us to see its documented arrogance and incompetence, doesn’t want us to know that it’s an out-of-control government agency. Because if we do – if we begin to connect the dots – maybe we’ll see how important this issue really is.

With the Global Government agenda now fully exposed and with millions of people world-wide awakening to the evil that has taken a grip on humanity, we are charged with staying one step ahead of the game in order to continue exposing these monkeys of evil. It is also incumbent upon us truth seekers to be equipped with effective thought processes for handling the tactics the Global Government monkeys employ for advancing their agenda.
These thought processes must be intellectually sound, based on objective observation, historical comparisons, intuition and proper application of wisdom. Applying these techniques will quickly differentiate the truth seeker from the ‘establishment zombies’ who go by many other names such asbrain-washed-TV-watchers, those who are not yet awakened and are still politically asleep, the naïve masses, programmed and conditioned gatekeepers, and the gullible.
Though I mordantly use the term ‘establishment zombies’ here, I generally refer to this segment of society as the ‘mainstream media believers’ who are generally ‘brain-washed-TV-watchers’. I use the term ‘mainstream media believers’ because it cuts more to the chase and I firmly believe that right now the most important thing any human being can do to be mentally and spiritually free is to recognize that the mainstream media IS the government mouthpiece and that they ONLY put out news stories that are consistent with their agenda. This realization will then allow a proper understanding of the context and purpose of this article.
My apologies for letting loose with the term ‘establishment zombies’, a term usually reserved for the Barry Soetoro supporters who adamantly do not see any traces of lies, tyranny, fascism and Constitution destruction in his 4+ year tenure; a colossal phenomenon of denial that should impress any student of psychology or human behavior. Ironically, zombie figures wildly represent destructive creatures that resemble humans but without the positive energy that makes us human. Zombies operate in one mode, primarily that of seeking food and lower forms of pleasure, are non-negotiable, and are not prone to reason.
I preface this article with the all-important issue of “believing the media” because I want to emphasize that the establishment media, which acts as a direct mouthpiece for the government, is not interested in the cause of the people. Let’s consider some important points regarding mainstream media news.
A. We must first acknowledge that stories don’t get released to the public because of how much truth they represent. If someone believes that truth is one of the measures that determines if a story gets put on the news then you might as well quit reading this article. Truth is not taken into consideration when the mass media puts out a story. The media gets caught in lies and inconsistencies all the time and they simply patch things up with another lie, or more often they simply ignore the more important stories. This is how the media operates and every truth seeker has probably realized this by now.
B. Second point regarding mainstream media news is that pieces of news that are put out through all the local, national and global networks are put out because this is what they WANT you to see and hear. Sounds simple? It is that simple. These stories follow similar selection processes as the program of events at the Oscar Awards, Grammys, Saturday Night Live or any other presentation. Presentations have an order to them and an intended purpose that has been calculated and considered by others in control of the presentation. The presentation given to you on the TV news last night underwent a screening process and had to QUALIFY for that position ahead of other stories.
With that said, many of us know that celestial events have been happening as long as humanity can remember. In this Internet age it isn’t very difficult to watch hours, days or weeks full of videos, articles and documents confirming events involving strange objects in the sky, unusual sightings, all the way down to testimonies of people claiming to have seen or encountered non-human entities. Yet for the most part, in the realm of Establishment Entertainment and general public presentations these events have been limited to special Sci-Fi channels, History Channel, National Geographic or other networks but never part of ‘reality’ mainstream media news. For as long as we can remember the mass media and politicians demonize as a lunatic anyone who makes claims of seeing UFOs or Aliens or anything similar. Until now that is….
Enter the next level of deception to advance the Global Government plans.

How do you get the masses to accept a martial law takeover?
How do you move masses of people from one part of town to another?
How do you move the masses from one part of the country to another?
How do you get people to willingly leave their houses to transfer to a facility owned and operated by government? OR
How do you get the masses to sing for joy on their way to their concentration camps?

All of these can be accomplished with a threat of disaster from a celestial event. One that justifies a national ‘State of Emergency’
The Obama administration already has put into place laws for taking control of every form of resource known; and the ONLY thing stopping the administration from using this power is a proper emergency state that goes above and beyond the phony war on terror. I believe that Celestial Events (as already shown to us by the Government’s Cinematic Mouthpiece [Hollywood] in several movies) IS the next bogey monster and we are seeing the beginning of this government mouthpiece phenomenon.
As mentioned, the government’s cinematic mouthpiece led the way several years ago with movies like 2012, Armageddon, Deep Impact and others; and now the media mouthpieces are following up the cinematic presentations by suddenly admitting to UFO sightings, regularly putting out stories about space events, and now the sensational Russia Meteor/Asteroid story. The scary part of the Russia Meteor story is to see all the mainstream media government mouthpieces synchronously reading to us from the same script trying to scare us about the danger of the Asteroid that nearly hit Earth. As usually is the case, their lies find ways of being exposed early on as at least one important Russian political figure challenged the authenticity of the story.
To measure truth one must first begin by considering the source. I for one am not buying any of these celestial events stories. These stories represent the next level of lies, and let’s all keep in mind the December 2012 Air Force launching of their Secret Space Plane which no one otherwise questioned. This ‘secret’ plane may likely be at the center of, or a link to, many things that are happening now and yet to come.
Let’s not be fooled and let’s remind ourselves that historically governments lie and have everything to hide. Without hiding what they do they would have no power. Let’s also remember that the government media mouthpieces only tell the masses what they want you to hear. Right now my cognitive process, intuition, objective analysis of mass media history in this country, and proper application of wisdom tells me the Monkeys are launching their next level of deception. I say bring it on, and may the best of humanity win.

We rejoice in knowing that today more people are awakened to your evil plans than yesterday, and tomorrow more people will be awakened to your evil plans than today. These rules dictate that the ‘awakening’ process is a live, moving form of energy which is moving in a positive (growing) direction.

In the classic history of Nazi Germany, They Thought They Were Free, Milton Mayer writes:

And their sense of identification with Hitler, their trust in him, made it easier to widen this gap and reassured those who would otherwise have worried about it.
“This separation of government from people, this widening of the gap, took place so gradually and so insensibly, each step disguised (perhaps not even intentionally) as a temporary emergency measure or associated with true patriotic allegiance or with real social purposes. And all the crises and reforms (real reforms, too) so occupied the people that they did not see the slow motion underneath, of the whole process of government growing remoter and remoter.
The German citizens were boiling frogs … the water heating up so gradually that they didn’t realize they had to jump out of the pot to safety.
The 1st Amendment protects speech, religion, assembly and the press:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
A federal judge found that the law allowing indefinite detention of Americans without due process has a “chilling effect” on free speech. And see this and this.
Of course, Muslims are more or less subject to a separate system of justice in America.
And 1st Amendment rights are especially chilled when power has become so concentrated that the same agency which spies on all Americans also decides who should be assassinated.
Second Amendment
The 2nd Amendment states:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
Gun control and gun rights advocates obviously have very different views about whether guns are a force for violence or for good.
Like many academics, I was happy to blissfully ignore the Second Amendment. It did not fit neatly into my socially liberal agenda.

It is hard to read the Second Amendment and not honestly conclude that the Framers intended gun ownership to be an individual right. It is true that the amendment begins with a reference to militias: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Accordingly, it is argued, this amendment protects the right of the militia to bear arms, not the individual.
Yet, if true, the Second Amendment would be effectively declared a defunct provision. The National Guard is not a true militia in the sense of the Second Amendment and, since the District and others believe governments can ban guns entirely, the Second Amendment would be read out of existence.

More important, the mere reference to a purpose of the Second Amendment does not alter the fact that an individual right is created. The right of the people to keep and bear arms is stated in the same way as the right to free speech or free press. The statement of a purpose was intended to reaffirm the power of the states and the people against the central government. At the time, many feared the federal government and its national army. Gun ownership was viewed as a deterrent against abuse by the government, which would be less likely to mess with a well-armed populace.
Considering the Framers and their own traditions of hunting and self-defense, it is clear that they would have viewed such ownership as an individual right — consistent with the plain meaning of the amendment.
None of this is easy for someone raised to believe that the Second Amendment was the dividing line between the enlightenment and the dark ages of American culture. Yet, it is time to honestly reconsider this amendment and admit that … here’s the really hard part … the NRA may have been right. This does not mean that Charlton Heston is the new Rosa Parks or that no restrictions can be placed on gun ownership. But it does appear that gun ownership was made a protected right by the Framers and, while we might not celebrate it, it is time that we recognize it.
The gun control debate – including which weapons and magazines are banned – is still in flux …
Third Amendment
The 3rd Amendment prohibits the government forcing people to house soldiers:
No Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.
Hey … we’re still honoring one of the Amendments! Score one for We the People!
Fourth Amendment
The 4th Amendment prevents unlawful search and seizure:
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
The domestic use of drones to spy on Americans clearly violates the Fourth Amendment and limits our rights to personal privacy.
Paul introduced a bill to “protect individual privacy against unwarranted governmental intrusion through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles commonly called drones.”

Many police departments are also using drones to spy on us. As the Hill reported:
At least 13 state and local police agencies around the country have used drones in the field or in training, according to the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International, an industry trade group. The Federal Aviation Administration has predicted that by the end of the decade, 30,000 commercial and government drones could be flying over U.S. skies.

“Drones should only be used if subject to a powerful framework that regulates their use in order to avoid abuse and invasions of privacy,” Chris Calabrese, a legislative counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union, said during a congressional forum in Texas last month.
He argued police should only fly drones over private property if they have a warrant, information collected with drones should be promptly destroyed when it’s no longer needed and domestic drones should not carry any weapons.
He argued that drones pose a more serious threat to privacy than helicopters because they are cheaper to use and can hover in the sky for longer periods of time.
A congressional report earlier this year predicted that drones could soon be equipped with technologies to identify faces or track people based on their height, age, gender and skin color.
As the top spy chief at the U.S. National Security Agency explained this week, the American government is collecting some 100 billion 1,000-character emails per day, and 20 trillion communications of all types per year.
He says that the government has collected all of the communications of congressional leaders, generals and everyone else in the U.S. for the last 10 years.
He further explains that he set up the NSA’s system so that all of the information would automatically be encrypted, so that the government had to obtain a search warrant based upon probably cause before a particular suspect’s communications could be decrypted. [He specifically did this to comply with the Fourth Amendment’s prohibition against unreasonable search and seizure.] But the NSA now collects all data in an unencrypted form, so that no probable cause is needed to view any citizen’s information. He says that it is actually cheaper and easier to store the data in an encrypted format: so the government’s current system is being done for political – not practical – purposes.
He says that if anyone gets on the government’s “enemies list”, then the stored information will be used to target them. Specifically, he notes that if the government decides it doesn’t like someone, it analyzes all of the data it has collected on that person and his or her associates over the last 10 years to build a case against him.
‘About as close to a cure’ as science has seen, says doctor

There’s no guarantee the child will remain healthy, although sophisticated testing uncovered just traces of the virus’ genetic material still lingering. If so, it would mark only the world’s second reported cure.
Specialists say Sunday’s announcement, at a major AIDS meeting in Atlanta, offers promising clues for efforts to eliminate HIV infection in children, especially in AIDS-plagued African countries where too many babies are born with the virus.
“You could call this about as close to a cure, if not a cure, that we’ve seen,” Dr. Anthony Fauci of the National Institutes of Health, who is familiar with the findings, told The Associated Press.
The baby ‘deserved our best shot,’ says doctor
A doctor gave this baby faster and stronger treatment than is usual, starting a three-drug infusion within 30 hours of birth. That was before tests confirmed the infant was infected and not just at risk from a mother whose HIV wasn’t diagnosed until she was in labour.
“I just felt like this baby was at higher-than-normal risk, and deserved our best shot,” Dr. Hannah Gay, a pediatric HIV specialist at the University of Mississippi, said in an interview.
That fast action apparently knocked out HIV in the baby’s blood before it could form hideouts in the body. Those so-called reservoirs of dormant cells usually rapidly reinfect anyone who stops medication, said Dr. Deborah Persaud of Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. She led the investigation that deemed the child “functionally cured,” meaning in long-term remission even if all traces of the virus haven’t been completely eradicated.
Next, Persaud’s team is planning a study to try to prove that, with more aggressive treatment of other high-risk babies. “Maybe we’ll be able to block this reservoir seeding,” Persaud said.
No one should stop anti-AIDS drugs as a result of this case, Fauci cautioned.
But “it opens up a lot of doors” to research if other children can be helped, he said. “It makes perfect sense what happened.”

A Brain-to-Brain Interface for Real-Time Sharing of Sensorimotor Information.
A brain-to-brain interface (BTBI) enabled a real-time transfer of behaviorally meaningful sensorimotor information between the brains of two rats. In this BTBI, an “encoder” rat performed sensorimotor tasks that required it to select from two choices of tactile or visual stimuli. While the encoder rat performed the task, samples of its cortical activity were transmitted to matching cortical areas of a “decoder” rat using intracortical microstimulation (ICMS). The decoder rat learned to make similar behavioral selections, guided solely by the information provided by the encoder rat’s brain. These results demonstrated that a complex system was formed by coupling the animals’ brains, suggesting that BTBIs can enable dyads or networks of animal’s brains to exchange, process, and store information and, hence, serve as the basis for studies of novel types of social interaction and for biological computing devices.

In his seminal study on information transfer between biological organisms, Ralph Hartley wrote that “in any given communication the sender mentally selects a particular symbol and by some bodily motion, as his vocal mechanism, causes the receiver to be directed to that particular symbol”1. Brain-machine interfaces (BMIs) have emerged as a new paradigm that allows brain-derived information to control artificial actuators2 and communicate the subject’s motor intention to the outside world without the interference of the subject’s body. For the past decade and a half, numerous studies have shown how brain-derived motor signals can be utilized to control the movements of a variety of mechanical, electronic and even virtual external devices3, 4, 5, 6. Recently, intracortical microstimulation (ICMS) has been added to the classical BMI paradigm to allow artificial sensory feedback signals7, 8, generated by these brain-controlled actuators, to be delivered back to the subject’s brain simultaneously with the extraction of cortical motor commands9, 10.
In the present study, we took the BMI approach to a new direction altogether and tested whether it could be employed to establish a new artificial communication channel between animals; one capable of transmitting behaviorally relevant sensorimotor information in real-time between two brains that, for all purposes, would from now on act together towards the fulfillment of a particular behavioral task. Previously, we have reported that specific motor11, 12 and sensory parameters13, 14 can be extracted from populations of cortical neurons using linear or nonlinear decoders in real-time. Here, we tested the hypothesis that a similar decoding performed by a “recipient brain” was sufficient to guide behavioral responses in sensorimotor tasks, therefore constituting a Brain-to-Brain Interface (BTBI)15 (Figure 1). To test this hypothesis, we conducted three experiments in which different patterns of cortical sensorimotor signals, coding a particular behavioral response, were recorded in one rat (heretofore named the “encoder” rat) and then transmitted directly to the brain of another animal (i.e. the “decoder” rat), via intra-cortical microstimulation (ICMS). All BTBI experiments described below were conducted in awake, behaving rats chronically implanted with cortical microelectrode arrays capable of both neuronal ensemble recordings and intracortical microstimulation16. We demonstrated that pairs of rats could cooperate through a BTBI to achieve a common behavioral goal.

The difference between the number of spikes in a given trial and the template trial is used to calculate a Zscore. The Zscore is then converted, through a sigmoid function centered on the mean of the template trial, into an ICMS pattern. Thus, the microstimulation patterns varied in real time, according to the number of spikes recorded from the encoder rat’s M1, on a trial by trial basis. Once microstimulation is delivered to the M1 cortex of the decoder rat, this animal has to select the same lever pressed by the encoder. Notice that the correct lever to press is cued only by the pattern of the decoder’s M1 microstimulation. If the decoder rat pressed the correct lever, both rats were rewarded. Thus, when the information transfer between the brains of the two rats was successful, the encoder rat received an additional reward that served as positive reinforcement.
In our training paradigm, animals learned basic elements of the tasks prior to participating in any BTBI experiments. First, prospective encoder rats were trained to respond to either tactile or visual stimuli until they reached 95% correct trials accuracy. Meanwhile, decoder rats were trained to become proficient while receiving ICMS as a stimulus. A train of ICMS pulses instructed the animal to select one of the levers/nose pokes, whereas a single ICMS pulse instructed a response to the other option. Decoder rats reached a 78.77% ± 2.1 correct trials performance level. After this preliminary training was completed, the animals were run in pairs, each one in a separate operant box.
The next phase of training began with the encoder rat performing ~10 trials of the motor or tactile task, which were used to construct a cortical ensemble template, i.e. the mean cortical neuronal activity for one of the responses. The increased firing rate associated with the right lever press was selected as the parameter extracted from the neuronal ensemble in the motor task. The increased firing rate associated with the “Narrow” trials was selected as the parameter extracted from the neuronal ensemble in the tactile task. A BTBI session followed in which ICMS trains applied to the cortex of the decoder rat reflected the difference between the template and single-trial neuronal ensemble rates produced by a sample of the encoder rat’s M1 or S1 activity. ICMS duration (i.e. number of pulses delivered) was proportional to the difference between the sampled neuronal ensemble firing rate recorded during a given trial and the template normalized by the standard deviation. The time window for the analysis of neuronal activity and ICMS parameters was adjusted in each recording session to maximize the directional signal. The decoder rats reacted to ICMS patterns and not any other cues, as was evident from control experiments in which the performance of those rats dropped to chance level after the ICMS cable was disconnected from the stimulator. Furthermore, the encoder rat received feedback information describing the single trial performance of the decoder rat; each time the decoder rat responded correctly to the ICMS cue, the encoder rat received an additional reward (i.e. water).
In experiment 1 (Figure 1), encoder rats (N = 3) pressed one of two levers after an LED on top of the lever was turned on. While the rats did so, M1 neuronal activity was recorded, compared to the template and transformed into ICMS trains applied to M1 of the decoder rats (N = 4) who performed the same lever press task. As would be expected, the encoder rats performed better (95.87% ± 1.83 correct trials) (Figure 2 A) than the decoder rats (64.32 ± 1.1%; range: 60 – 72% correct trials; Binomial test: P < 0.05 in all sessions) (Figure 2 A and B). Yet, the performance of the decoder animals was above chance and highly significant. Indeed, in some experiments the decoder rat’s performance using the BTBI was very close to the maximum performance obtained when ICMS was used alone in these animals (72% BTBI vs 78% ICMS alone, see above).

The primary factor that influenced the decoder rat’s performance was the quality of spatial information extracted from the encoder rat’s M1. The performance was high if the chosen neuronal ensemble accurately encoded left versus right presses (Figure 2 C and Figure 3 A–D). The higher the deviation from the template and hence the larger the duration of the ICMS (i.e. number of pulses delivered), the better was the decoder rat’s performance (Figure 2 C and 3 B–D). For this first experiment, a total of 538 units and 110 multiunits were recorded from encoder rats. Sessions were comprised of 48.04 ± 1.5 trials. The response latency of the encoder rats was 20.06 ± 1.0 seconds, while decoder animals responded at 13.59 ± 0.5 seconds. Note that this difference reflects only the effect of both rats working as a dyad (see below for comparison of latencies during training and testing).

In addition to the neuronal transfer from the encoder to the decoder rats, feedback information, related to the decoder rats’ performance, was sent back to the encoder animal. This feedback provided an additional reward to the encoder rat every time the decoder rat performed a trial correctly. Under these conditions, the encoder rats’ response latency decreased after the decoder rat made an error (after correct response: 20.67 ± 1.665 seconds and after an incorrect response = 15.26 ± 2.031 seconds; Mann Whitney U = 13570; P < 0.0001). Furthermore, an analysis of the variation in Z-scores, demonstrated that the signal to noise ratio of the neural activity extracted from the encoder rat’s M1 increased after the decoder rat committed an error (Chi Square = 4.08, df = 1; P = 0.0434). Thus, both the behavior and neuronal modulations of the encoder rat became dependent on the trial by trial behavioral performance of its dyad partner, the decoder rat.
In experiment 2, we tested whether a BTBI could enable a real-time transfer of tactile information between a pair of rats’ brains (Figure 4). Encoder rats (N = 2) were trained to discriminate the diameter of an aperture width with their whiskers17. If the aperture was narrow, rats were required to nose poke on the left side of the chamber, otherwise they had to poke on the right side of the chamber. Decoder rats (N = 5) were trained to poke on the left water port (narrow aperture) in the presence of ICMS and on the right water port (wide aperture) in the absence of ICMS. Similar to experiment 1, the difference between the S1 neuronal ensemble activity, recorded while the encoder rat examined the aperture with its whiskers in each trial, and an average template obtained previously, was utilized to create ICMS patterns applied to the decoder rat’s S1. We named these ICMS patterns virtual narrow and virtual wide. A total of 120 units and 223 multiunits were recorded in experiment 2.

A) In the tactile discrimination task, the encoder animal was required to sample a variable width aperture using its facial whiskers. The width could be “Narrow” as shown in the left photograph, or “Wide”. After sampling, the encoder animal had to report whether the aperture was narrow or wide by nose poking on a left or right reward port respectively. If correct, the animal received a small water reward. As the encoder explored the aperture, a sample of its S1 activity was recorded, compared with a template trial and then transferred to the decoders’ S1 via ICMS. The pattern of microstimulation constantly varied according to the number of spikes recorded from the encoder rat’s S1 in each trial. The decoder rat was required to make a response in the reward port corresponding to the width sampled by the encoder, guided only by the microstimulation pattern. If the decoder rat accurately responded in the correct reward port, both rats received a small water reward. Thus, the encoder rat received an additional reward in case both animals of the dyad performed a trial successfully.
The BTBI accuracy for tactile information transfer was similar to that observed in experiment 1 (Figure 5 A–B). While encoder rats performed at 96.06 ± 1.14% correct, decoder animals performed somewhat worse but significantly above chance (Percent correct: 62.34 ± 0.59%, range 60 – 64.58%; Binomial test: P < 0.05 in all sessions) (Figure 5 A–B and Figure 6 A–D). In this second experiment, the response latency of encoder rats was 2.66 ± 0.1 seconds, while in decoders the latency was 2.68 ± 0.09 seconds.

To further demonstrate that the accuracy of the decoder rats’ performance was based on the ICMS patterns, which in turn were triggered by larger number of spikes produced by S1 neuronal ensembles, we compared the fraction of Virtual Narrow choices with the number of ICMS pulses delivered to the decoder’s S1 cortex. Increases in the number of ICMS pulses delivered to the decoder’s S1 were associated with a higher fraction of Virtual Narrow choices (≤ 25 pulses: 0.3966 ± 0.04476 correct; >25 pulses: 0.5433 ± 0.02991 correct; Paired samples t-test = 2.321, df = 16, P = 0.0338) (see Figure 5 C and Figure 6 A–D ). Since ICMS patterns were directly derived, through a transfer function, from the neural ensemble activity recorded from the encoder animal’s S1 cortex in each trial, this result demonstrates that the decoder rat’s correct choices relied on the accuracy of the ICMS pattern in reproducing the number of action potentials generated by the real tactile stimulus information presented to the encoder rat. Feedback information, providing an additional reward to the encoder rat every time the decoder rat performed a trial correctly, also induced changes in the neural activity of the encoder rat. The encoder’s latency of response was similar after correct and incorrect trials (After correct = 2.6 ± 0.1 secs; After incorrect = 2.7 ± 0.2 secs; Mann Whitney U = 19790, P = 0.49). However, similarly to the effects observed in experiment 1, the signal to noise ratio of neural activity in S1 also increased after an incorrect trial (Chi Square = 4.2, df = 1; P = 0.0404).
It could be argued that the results reported here could have been obtained if prerecorded signals from encoder rats had been used to guide the behavior of the decoder rats. Qualitative and quantitative observation of the behavior of the animals reveals that this is not at all the case. In both motor and tactile BTBI sessions we observed drastic changes in the behavior of encoder and decoder rats as soon as they started to work as part of a dyad. Both encoder and decoder animals either made quick attempts to respond earlier or, conversely, they reduced their response rate or even stopped performing according to the dyad behavior. Thus, response latencies during motor BTBI sessions were largely increased for encoder animals (encoder training: 14.77 ± 0.9 seconds; encoder BTBI session: 20.06 ± 1.0 seconds; t = 3.975, df = 1170, P < 0.0001) and decreased in decoder rats (decoder training: 16.29 ± 0.6 seconds; decoder BTBI sessions: 13.59 ± 0.5 seconds; t = 3.559, df = 1636, P = 0.0004). During the tactile BTBI sessions the responses latency was reduced in both encoder (encoder training: 5.40 ± 0.6 seconds; encoder BTBI sessions: 2.66 ± 0.1 seconds; Mann-Whitney U = 13960, P < 0.0001) and decoder animals (decoder training: 4.632 ± 0.6 seconds; decoder BTBI sessions: 2.68 ± 0.09 seconds; t = 4.638, df = 12, P = 0.0006) as they started to work as a dyad. Therefore, the dyad performance depended on the nature of the task performed jointly by the animal pair. Likely the increased latencies observed in the motor task reflect the fact that pressing a lever is a learned artificial behavior, while the exploratory nose poking necessary for the tactile task is part of the rats’ natural behavioral repertoire. These overall changes in the dyad behavior, irrespective of their direction (e.g. increased or decreased latency), are a clear indicator that a fundamentally more complex system emerged from the operation of the BTBI; one which required considerable adaptation from the participant animals so that they could jointly perform the sensorimotor tasks.
As the ICMS cues were delivered to primary cortical areas that are commonly involved in processing motor and somatosensory information in intact animals, we further asked how the decoder rat’s S1 cortex represented both real tactile stimuli, generated by mechanical stimulation of its own facial whiskers, and ICMS signals representing the encoder rat’s whisker stimulation, during operation of a BTBI. To measure this, we tested pairs of encoder and decoder rats during passive transmission of tactile information via a BTBI, while the whiskers of the encoder and decoder rats were mechanically stimulated. This experiment consisted of two parts: first, the encoder animal was lightly anesthetized and head fixed to an automated whisker stimulator that accurately reproduces the movement and speed at which the whiskers interact with the bars in the active tactile discrimination task (see Methods). The animal’s S1 neural activity following each movement of the bars was analyzed in real time and delivered, as an ICMS pattern, to the decoder rat’s S1. Meanwhile, the decoder rat remained in an open field in a different room while its S1 neural activity was recorded. After this phase was completed, the decoder animal was also lightly anesthetized and placed in the automated whisker stimulator. This allowed us to determine how the decoder rat’s S1 neuronal sample, that responded via the BTBI to the tactile stimuli delivered to the encoder’s whiskers, responded to tactile stimuli elicited by passive whisker stimulation of their own vibrissae.
Passive whisker stimulation, in either the encoder or decoder rats, induced significant firing modulations in the decoder rat’s S1. These were characterized by clear increases of firing activity occurring immediately after the moving bars touched the whiskers of each animal (see Figure 7 A and B). These significant S1 neuronal responses occurred in 70.91% (39/55 multiunits) of the microwires implanted in the decoder rat’s S1, which were used to deliver ICMS patterns through the BTBI, and in 93.06% (67/72 multiunits) of the microwires from which S1 neuronal activity was recorded from decoder rats (see Figure 7 B and C). The magnitude of the S1 tactile responses elicited by mechanical stimulation of the decoder rat’s facial whiskers was 4.82 ± 0.4 spikes/trial and the duration was 111.4 ± 11 ms. During the BTBI transmission, ICMS of the decoder’s S1 induced a significant increase of S1 neurons firing activity lasting for 119.7 ± 20 ms. Due to the microstimulation artifact in the recordings, we focused our analysis on the firing activity increases occurring after the last pulse of microstimulation was transmitted (see red traces Figure 7 C).

Thus, the S1 neuronal responses observed in the decoder rat demonstrate that it learned to use the BTBI and that a representation of the tactile stimuli applied to the encoders’ whiskers could be superimposed on the preexisting representation depicting tactile stimuli applied to its own facial whiskers.
Analysis of the data obtained during passive BTBI communication further demonstrated that S1 neurons in the decoder’s brain responded differently for each of the virtual tactile stimuli. More than half of the S1 multiunits recorded presented differential firing rates for Virtual Wide and Virtual Narrow stimuli (28/44 = 63.64% multiunits). Also, the Virtual Narrow stimulus was characterized by higher neuronal response magnitudes (Virtual Narrow: 3.861 ± 0.6229 spikes/trial; Virtual Wide: 2.200 ± 1.079 spikes/trial; Wilcoxon sum of ranks = 197; P = 0.0182) and durations (Virtual Narrow: 102.7 ± 16.28 ms; Virtual Wide: 31.54 ± 14.85 ms; Wilcoxon sum of ranks = 200; P = 0.0074). To measure whether the differences in firing rates were due to discrimination or due to an ‘upstate’ related to the repeated microstimulation, we also compared which S1 multiunits exhibited different firing rates for Virtual Narrow and Virtual Wide. From the total of S1 multiunits that displayed differences in firing rates for the discrimination period, we found that 35.7% (10/28 multiunits) had no significant differences in the baseline firing rate. Thus, more than one third of the S1 multiunits recorded showed no signs of an ‘upstate’ in their baseline due to repeated microstimulation. This supports the hypothesis that after the decoder rats learned to use the BTBI, via ICMS cues, their S1 became capable of accurately representing, processing, storing and recalling information about both the tactile stimuli delivered to its own whiskers, as well as mechanical displacements of the encoders’ facial vibrissae.
Finally, to further demonstrate the range of potential operation of our BTBI preparation, we tested whether a long-distance communication of a rat dyad, with the encoder rat performing the tactile discrimination task at the ELS-IINN (Natal, Brazil) and the decoder rat receiving patterns of microstimulation and responding at Duke University (Durham, USA), would be capable of performing the same task. For this, neural activity recorded from S1 of the encoder rat performing the tactile discrimination task was sent via an internet connection and delivered, as an ICMS pattern, to the decoder rat S1 (Figure 8). Even under these extreme conditions, the BTBI was also able to transfer in real-time behaviorally meaningful neuronal information. Although the mean time of data transmission observed in this long-distance BTBI was increased from 20 ms (during transmission in our Duke lab) to 232 ± 217.5 ms, a similar number of correct responses was found (short distance transmission: 62.34 ± 0.59%; long distance transmission: 62.25% ± 0.71) in 26.5 ± 0.5 trials in the decoder animals.

To test the full potentialities of the BTBI, a brain-to-brain interface to transfer cortical tactile information was established between our laboratory at the IINN-ELS in Brazil and our laboratory at Duke University in the USA. An encoder rat performed a tactile discrimination task at the IINN-ELS. Meanwhile its neuronal activity in S1 was recorded and sent over the internet to our laboratory at Duke University. The sigmoid transformation algorithm was used to transfer the number of action potentials into microstimulation patterns that there were then delivered to the decoder rat’s S1 cortex. As the decoder rat made a behavioral response, feedback was sent over the internet to the encoders’ chamber back at the IINN-ELS.
The present study demonstrates for the first time that tactile and motor information, extracted in real time from simultaneously recorded populations of cortical neurons from a rat’s brain, can be transmitted directly into another subject’s cortex through the utilization of a real-time BTBI. Operation of a BTBI by an encoder-decoder rat dyad allowed decoders to rely exclusively on neural patterns donated by encoders in order to reproduce the encoder’s behavioral choice. ICMS patterns reflecting the number of action potentials recorded from either the encoder rat’s M1 or S1 during a single trial were sufficient for decoder rats to repeatedly perform two different tasks, significantly above chance levels, in real-time. Interestingly, half of the number of pulses used to stimulate the decoder’s M1 were sufficient to successfully deliver a message to the decoder’s S1 cortex, suggesting that primary sensory cortical areas may have a lower threshold to operate a BTBI.
We also demonstrated that operation of a BTBI induced differential patterns of activation in the decoder rat’s S1. Thus, the same S1 neurons that responded to the mechanical stimulation of the decoder rat’s own whiskers were capable of representing information derived from stimulation of the encoder rat’s whiskers via the BTBI.
Additionally, continuous operation of the BTBI also affected the behavior and neural activity of the encoder rat, which was able to reduce its response latency and increase the signal/noise ratio of its S1/M1 neuronal activity in response to an error by the decoder rat. As far as we can tell, these findings demonstrate for the first time that a direct channel for behavioral information exchange can be established between two animal’s brains without the use of the animal’s regular forms of communication. Essentially, our results indicate that animal brain dyads or even brain networks could allow animal groups to synchronize their behaviors following neuronal-based cues.
Successful BTBI operation required four simultaneous conditions to be present: first, the encoder animals had to achieve a very high level of performance in both tasks. As proof, only one successful BTBI session was obtained when the encoder rat’s performance was below 80%. Second, recordings from the encoder’s cortex had to yield stable neural ensemble activity which was highly correlated to the behavior that needs to be encoded by the BTBI. Note that successful BTBI operation was achieved using information collected from random ensembles of neurons dispersed within each cortical area. This finding indicates that information was not anatomically segregated either in S1 or in M1. Third, the midpoint of the sigmoid transfer function (which was set at the beginning of the session) had to closely match the midpoint of the neural function that represented the two stimuli/actions. We found that such a midpoint tended to be the same for each cortical region, suggesting that groups of neurons with similar physiological profiles were recorded in most cases. Fourth, our results showed that both encoder and decoder rats changed their behavior according to the dyad performance. This observation suggests that operation of a BTBI induces the establishment of a highly complex system, formed by a pair of interconnected brains. As such, this brain dyad behaved in a way that could not be predicted if only pre-recorded neural signals had been used for encoding purposes. We speculate that the description of the complex system generated by the dyad transferring information and collaborating in real time, will reveal fundamental properties about the neural basis of communication and social interactions18, 19.
Although we have shown accurate transfer of brain-derived motor and sensory information through a BTBI, it remains to be explained how the brain simultaneously integrates information generated by direct ICMS and by natural stimuli (e.g. real whisker stimulation). Previous studies in rhesus monkeys have shown that the brain is able to decode highly complex ICMS patterns in a single trial7. Specifically, it has been shown that a brain-machine-brain control loop allows for continuous update of information in the S1 cortex, while a monkey explores a virtual tactile stimulus. The effects of a neuroprosthetic’s operation on cortical neuronal responses have also been studied in the representation of the rat forelimb sensorimotor cortex, where it was shown that information flow can be altered by S1 microstimulation20, 21, 22. Lastly, a recent study has shown that the ability to use a BMI is mediated by the striatum in mice4. Altogether, this body of evidence supports the notion that continuous use of ICMS to deliver information to the brain is associated with plastic changes in neuronal ensemble responses in cortical and subcortical regions. The data obtained here during passive BTBI operation supports this conclusion by showing that as animals learned to use the microstimulation cues, differential patterns of S1 neuronal responses emerged for each of the virtual tactile stimuli. This finding is consistent with our previous observation that S1 neurons undergo significant functional plasticity during the period in which rats learn a tactile discrimination task23. Accordingly, our results further suggest that successful BTBI operation is fundamentally linked to the ability of S1 ensembles to undergo plastic reorganization in response to microstimulation patterns24.
Altogether, the results described here indicate that the channel capacity (amount and precision of information, bandwidth) and the dynamic properties of cortical neuronal ensembles are the two major determinants of the amount and quality of information that can be transferred between animal brains via a BTBI. Thus, beyond the neurobiological challenge of understanding how the brain integrates natural and virtual stimuli, a second class of problems directly related to the characteristics of the BTBI as a channel for information transfer must be addressed. In general terms, the BTBI can be described as a discrete noisy channel, meaning “a system whereby a sequence of choices from a finite set of elementary symbols S1; : : : ;Sn can be transmitted from one point to another ”25. The limit for the amount of information that can be transferred by unit of time (i.e. capacity)25 is currently unknown for a BTBI channel. In the tasks used here, the minimum and maximum inputs depended on the range of the firing rate in the neurons used, while the output depended mostly on the electrical microstimulation threshold of cortical ensembles in the decoder’s brain. However, channel capacity can be increased while still using the rationale described in Figure 1 (neural data – transfer function – stimulation delivery). For example, it will be important to test in the future the effect of other types of inputs (e.g. larger neuronal ensembles; Local Field Potentials), transfer functions (e.g. exponential, linear, step functions) and outputs (e.g. one versus several pairs of microelectrodes used for ICMS, disposed in 2D or 3D cortical space, delivering photostimulation instead of electrical current) on the overall dyad performance. In this context, we expect that the use of newly introduced microelectrode cubes, created in our laboratory, that spread across 3D cortical space, to deliver spatiotemporal patterns of information from the encoder’s brain to the decoder’s will provide a significant increase in BTBI bandwidth, likely leading to a substantial improvement in the overall animal dyad performance.
Lastly, it is important to stress that the topology of BTBI does not need to be restricted to one encoder and one decoder subjects. Instead, we have already proposed that, in theory, channel accuracy can be increased if instead of a dyad a whole grid of multiple reciprocally interconnected brains are employed. Such a computing structure could define the first example of an organic computer capable of solving heuristic problems that would be deemed non-computable by a general Turing-machine. Future works will elucidate in detail the characteristics of this multi-brain system, its computational capabilities, and how it compares to other non-Turing computational architectures26.
Methods
All animal procedures were performed in accordance with the National Research Council’s Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals and were approved by the Duke University Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee. Long Evans rats weighing between 250–350 g were used in all experiments.
Motor brain-to-brain interface
The behavioral motor task consisted of a dark operant chamber equipped with two levers, one LED (Light Emitting Diode) above each lever and, on the opposite wall, a water reward port. Animals were trained to press one of two levers, cued by an LED turned on at the beginning of each trial. A correct choice opened the reward port and allowed brief access to water (300 ms). When animals reached stable performances above 80% correct choices they were assigned either to an encoder or decoder group. The operant chamber configuration remained similar in both the encoder and the decoder groups. Animals assigned to the encoder group were implanted with recording arrays of 32 microelectrodes in the primary motor cortex and after recovery resumed the initial training scheme. Animals assigned to the decoder group were implanted with arrays of 4 to 6 microstimulation electrodes in the primary motor cortex and were further trained to associate the presence of electrical microstimulation pulses with the correct lever press. Extra training followed, with a sequence of 60 to 100 pulses indicating a correct choice in the right lever while the absence of microstimulation pulses (1 pulse) indicated a correct left lever choice. During the electrical microstimulation training phase a trial started with a brief period of white noise, followed by the electrical microstimulation cue. Immediately after this cue both LEDs were turned on. If a correct choice was made the reward port would open and the animal was allowed a brief period of access to water (300 ms), otherwise both LEDs were turned off and the intertrial interval started.
When decoder animals reached stable performances above chance, brain-to-brain interface (BTBI) sessions with motor activity were performed. These sessions were composed of three different phases: 1) identification of cells accurately encoding the motor action performed, 2) data collection for template trials during a rat-to-brain mode and, 3) brain-to-brain interface using real-time analysis followed by electrical microstimulation. There were no setup differences between the rat-to-brain mode and the brain-to-brain interface. The only difference between these two conditions was that in the rat-to-brain mode the patterns of microstimulation depended on the behavior of the encoder animal, while during the brain-to-brain interface mode the patterns of microstimulation depended solely on the neural activity of the encoder rat.
Neural activity was first studied in encoder animals performing the behavioral task to identify units that accurately encoded for the motor activity associated with each lever press. During the rat-to-brain mode the operant chambers remained as in the training phase, however the presence of a correct choice in the encoder operant chamber activated the pattern of electrical microstimulation cue corresponding to the same lever on the decoder animal operant chamber. A correct choice by the decoder rat was signaled by a tone and both encoder and decoder animals were allowed a brief period of access to water. The goal of this phase was to create a template trial based on the neural activity of the encoder rat pressing one of the levers in several trials.
During the brain-to-brain interface mode the number of action potentials in each trial was compared to the template trial and the Zscore of the difference between them was used to determine the number of pulses present in the pattern of microstimulation. A sigmoid function was used to transfer the Zscore value to the number of pulses present in the microstimulation pattern. A higher Zscore was associated with an increased number of pulses in the microstimulation cue (i.e. right lever) while a lower Zscore was associated with a decreased number of pulses in the microstimulation cue (e.g. left lever).
Active tactile brain-to-brain interface
Mildly water deprived animals were trained to perform a behavioral discrimination task as previously described17. Briefly, this task required animals to discriminate between a wide or narrow aperture in order to receive a water reward. The animal was placed in the behavioral box compartment where it waited for the central door to open and allow access to the second compartment, the inner chamber. After the animal entered the inner chamber, it had to pass through the variable width discrimination bars and then nose poke the center of the front wall. The nose poke in the inner chamber opened two water reward pokes located in the outer chamber from which the animal had to select one. The reward poke on the right corresponded to the wide aperture, whereas the poke on the left corresponded to the narrow aperture. As the animal chose from one of the reward pokes, the door separating the inner and outer chambers closed. Correct responses were rewarded by 50 μl water rewards. Incorrect responses were followed by immediate closing of the reward pokes. The percent of trials performed correctly was used as a measure of tactile discrimination.
Animals were then evenly assigned to encoder or decoder groups. Encoder animals (n = 2) were implanted with recording arrays of 32 microelectrodes in the right S1 and after recovery resumed the initial training scheme. Animals assigned to the decoder group were implanted with arrays of six microstimulation electrodes in the right S1 (n = 7). In six decoder animals, recording electrode arrays were also implanted either in the right (N = 1) or in the left S1 (N = 5). After recovering from surgery decoder animals were further trained to associate the presence of electrical microstimulation pulses with the correct lever press. Extensive training followed, with a sequence of 50 pulses indicating a correct choice in the left reward poke while the absence of microstimulation pulses (1 pulse) indicated a correct choice in the right reward poke. Decoder animals were required to identify the microstimulation cue and associate it with a behavioral response in one of the reward pokes. A brief tone indicated the beginning of the trial immediately followed by the microstimulation cue. After a period of 500 ms both reward pokes would open and the rat was required to make a response in one of the photo beams. A correct choice was followed by a brief tone and access to water. When decoder animals reached stable performances of > 65% correct trials for 3 consecutive sessions, tactile BTBI sessions began.
Neural activity was first studied in encoder animals performing the behavioral task to identify units that accurately encoded for the tactile stimuli associated with sampling the width between bars. During the rat-to-brain mode the operant chambers remained as in the training phase, however the microstimulation cue presented to the decoder animal always matched the stimulus presented to the encoder animal. After a correct response by the encoder rat, a brief tone followed by a microstimulation cue of 1 or 50 pulses was sent to the decoder animal and both reward ports in the second chamber would open. If the decoder rat accurately discriminated the microstimulation cue both rats were rewarded. During the brain-to-brain interface mode the neural activity of the encoder rat was analyzed from the moment that the rat broke the discrimination bars photo beam to the moment that the rat broke the photo beam in the center poke. The number of action potentials found in this interval was then counted and compared to the distribution of the Zscores relative to the spikes present in all the previous Wide trials. A Zscore was determined and transferred using a sigmoid function, into the number of pulses present in the pattern of microstimulation.
Passive tactile brain-to-brain interface
The encoder animal was anesthetized and remained head fixed in one room, while the decoder rat was in an open field in a different location with the neural activity also being recorded. The encoder rats’ whiskers were then stimulated by a set of moving bars that accurately reproduce the dynamics observed in the active tactile width discrimination task14. The bars were set up for Wide or Narrow widths and, for each width, the head fixed animal was stimulated for approximately 6 minutes at 0.3 Hz. Neural activity was first analyzed in real time and units with clear whisker related activity were used for the session. To establish a baseline distribution; an initial group of 100 wide stimulus trials was recorded. Then the passive brain-to-brain interface mode started. The encoders’ whiskers were stimulated by the moving aperture corresponding to a Wide stimulus. Meanwhile the number of action potentials recorded from the encoder animal was counted. The number of action potentials was compared to the distribution of action potentials found at the baseline at the beginning of the session and a Zscore was calculated. This Zscore was transferred into the number of pulses to be used in the microstimulation using a sigmoid function. The decoder rat then received the pattern of microstimulation derived from the sigmoid function. Immediately after the encoder animal had been passively stimulated with both Wide and Narrow widths, the decoder animal was anesthetized, head fixed, and its whiskers were passively stimulated with the same Wide and Narrow stimuli as the encoder animal.
Surgery for microelectrode array implantation
Fixed or movable microelectrode bundles or arrays of electrodes were implanted in the M1 and S1 of rats. Craniotomies were made and arrays lowered at the following stereotaxic coordinates for each area: S1 [(AP) −3.0 mm, (ML), +5.5 mm (DV) −0.7 mm], M1 [(AP) +2.0 mm, (ML) +2.0 mm, (DV) −1.5 mm].
Electrophysiological recordings
A Multineuronal Acquisition Processor (64 channels, Plexon Inc, Dallas, TX) was used to record neuronal spikes, as previously described27. Briefly, differentiated neural signals were amplified (20000–32,000×) and digitized at 40 kHz. Up to four single neurons per recording channel were sorted online (Sort client 2002, Plexon inc, Dallas, TX ). Online sorting was validated offline using Offline Sorter 2.8.8 (Plexon Inc, Dallas, TX).
Intracortical electrical microstimulation
Intracortical electrical microstimulation cues were generated by an electrical microstimulator (Master 8, AMPI, Jerusalem, Israel) controlled by custom Matlab script (Nattick, USA) receiving information from a Plexon system over the internet. Patterns of 1–100 (bipolar, biphasic, charge balanced; 200 μsec) pulses at 400 Hz (motor BTBI) or 250 Hz (tactile BTBI) were delivered to the cortical structures of interest (M1 and S1 respectively). Current intensity varied from 38–200 μA (motor BTBI) and 30–240 μA (tactile BTBI).
Data analysis
For both behavioral tasks the number of correct responses was used as a measure of behavioral performance. We also analyzed the animals’ response latency as a measure of independency between the performance of each animal alone or in a dyad.
Neuronal data were processed and analyzed using Neuroexplorer (version 3.266, NEX Technologies) and custom scripts written in Matlab (7.9.0, Mathworks, Natick, MA). Statistical significance of neural responses was evaluated using a method based on cumulative-summed spike counts28, 29. Comparisons of characteristics of neural responses for different conditions were performed using non-parametric tests (Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon or Kruskal-Wallis). Signal-to-noise ratio of neural responses was calculated as the proportion of responses, occurring after a correct or incorrect decoder response, that presented Zscore absolute values above 0.3 standard deviations. This specific value was used because it corresponded to the midpoint of the sigmoid curve). Statistical significance was determined using a chi square test for proportions.

Yes, the US government does not print its own money. Instead, it loans money from the Federal Reserve, which is nothing more than a PRIVATE bank, with a fancy title. It is not regulated by the government and does not submit to the US constitution, because it is not located on US soil.
So, if you still hope for an economic recovery, you better think twice. From the creation of the first dollar, to the complete collapse of the financial system, is just a matter of time. It’s a cycle, and someday, soon, it will be completed.
The last cycle was completed in 1929 and the result was the “the longest, most widespread, and deepest depression of the 20th century” (wikipedia), and it’s known to history as “the great depression“. The recovery was long, painful and culminated with the advent of world war two, when the world governments created jobs for the war machine.
And guess who financed both sides of war? The same cartel of banksters that is controlling and enslaving the American people as we speak. The Precious Metal Restriction Has Begun
“Recently, Ed Steer of Ed Steer’s Gold and Silver Daily received a letter from a reader, Harry Morgan, describing a problem that he encountered in selling ten ounces of silver to a local jewelry store.
Mr. Morgan was successful in selling his silver to the store, but before the transaction could be made, he had to submit to mandatory fingerprinting. He then found that payment for precious metals in excess of $600 must be by check, necessitating a deposit into a bank account.’
In depositing a check, Mr. Morgan’s bank advised him that it was “required policy to ask everyone who was cashing or depositing a check from a jewelry store, coin store or a coin & stamp store, what the check was for”. Not surprisingly, Mr. Morgan felt that it was none of the bank’s business what the nature of his transaction with the jewelry store might be.
Now, it should be said that neither the jewelry store manager, nor the bank manager suggested that the selling of precious metal was a crime; only that, if a sale is to take place, it must be recorded. And it is safe to say that neither the store nor the bank would have a vested interest in creating such policies on their own, as such record-keeping does not increase the profits of their respective businesses. It only increases unproductive paperwork.
It would seem clear that the culprit here is the State. In the US, several states have either passed laws or are in the process of drafting laws to record the sales of precious metals.
The reader might well ask, “Why on earth would a government seek to control the sale of a few ounces of silver?” Today, the return from the sale of a few ounces of silver is practically pocket change to a jewelry store, pawn shop or bank. And, under this law, the bankers have been ordered to treat the depositor with the same scrutiny that they would a drug baron who appeared to be laundering drug money. They are achieving nothing in terms of the economy. All they are succeeding in doing is denying the depositor a basic freedom, whilst implying that there is something wrong in the purchase or sale of precious metals.”
The True Purpose Of Precious Metal Restrictions
In answering this question, it may be helpful to refer to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, who, the reader may remember, was the author of the Sherlock Holmes novels. In those novels, Sir Arthur occasionally had his sleuth say,
“When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.”
If we use Sir Arthur’s logic, when we have eliminated the impossible in this case, what we are left with, however improbable, is that the State’s objective is indeed to achieve what it is achieving – denying the depositor his liberty, whilst implying that there is something inherently wrong with the purchase or sale of precious metals.
But what is the benefit to the authorities in doing so? Certainly, in the future, once the sheeple become accustomed to these restrictions as being normal (and therefore acceptable), all that would be necessary to cease the sale of precious metals would be to disallow deposits of such nature to banks. In a sense, this would render investment in precious metals valueless, as “value” exists only in relation to an ability to sell the investment.
In addition, by treating those who buy and sell precious metals in the same way as drug lords are treated, it becomes easy to convince the general public that it was a good thing the metals investors were stopped from doing what they were doing.
And that’s the whole point. This is not about saving the country economically any more than a carbon tax is about saving the ecology.
The Objective Is Control
The objective here is control. And those citizens who find a way to work their way out of an economic disaster (through precious metal investment or any other means) represent a threat to that control.
If the sheep are to be sheared, they must first be penned in so that they cannot escape.
It should be mentioned that the US is not alone in increasing economic restrictions to its people. Whilst the US might be the most visible example, as it is, in a sense, the empire of our time, similar restrictions are being imposed by most governments that are finding themselves on a water-slide into an economic sewer. Argentina is a prime example, but the EU countries and others in the world are following suit.
A mere decade ago, I was rarely asked whether it might be a good idea to purchase and store precious metals. On the rare occasions that I was asked, my answer was invariably, “Yes, absolutely. You may be regarded as an idiot by most everyone you talk to about your investment in gold and/or silver, but, in time, it will become clear that precious metals are the economic ‘Alamo’ when many of the world’s economies begin to implode.”
Today, of course, the discussion has advanced a few steps. Many people around the world have chosen to purchase gold and/or silver. The question now is more likely to be, “How do I store the metal once I own it?”
Before offering an answer to this question, a further question must be posed: “What country do you live in?” Whenever the answer is, say, “The US,” “France,” or “Argentina,” my response is that, in those countries, it soon may be unsafe to physically hold precious metals at all. It is likely that, either through confiscation or through laws prohibiting sales, any remaining owner may as well own dirt, as dirt would be more salable.
At this point in the narrative, the precious-metal naysayers may be likely to state, “I told you so – gold and silver are a mistake – don’t invest in them,” but they would be incorrect. Precious metals, along with real estate, are among the safest choices (if any investment is safe in these times) as repositories for wealth. However, if one resides in a country that is now tightening the vice on the free market, it may be wise to internationalize one’s storage of wealth. (Wealth that is overseas is difficult for a home government to confiscate.)
Whenever a country is reaching the end of its life cycle and is verging upon collapse, the penultimate phase is control. When the leaders recognize that the final stage (collapse) is on the horizon, extreme control is employed as a means of both delaying the collapse and making its inevitability safer for the leaders. After all, once an entire nation of people realize that they have been hoodwinked by their leaders, they become less willing to continue to simply “go along,” as they had been during the period of prosperity.
The Pen Of Control
Historically, in the penultimate phase of a nation, a “pen” of control – laws and regulations – is created. It is generally only after the completion of the pen that the sheep realize that they are to be sheared.
Again, historically, the numbers of people who recognize that a pen is being created to contain them are small. Typically, such a country experiences what is sometimes termed a “brain drain,” in which the educated, the entrepreneurs and the far-sighted, quietly internationalize in the penultimate stage.

Is There an Alternative?
This cycle of creating money and collapsing the financial system will go on and on, until we will be ready to look for alternatives. The most interesting alternative that I was able to find so far is the so called Resource-Based Economy, and it can be achieved today. We have all the knowledge, manpower and resources to make it happen, but don’t expect this to come from our government. We have to make the transition together, as the intelligent species that we are.

Here’s a little bit of history to think about. December 29, 2012 marked the 122nd Anniversary of the murder of 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota .
These 297 people, in their winter camp, were murdered by federal agents and members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection.”
The slaughter began after the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms. The Cavalry began shooting, and managed to wipe out the entire camp. 200 of the 297 victims were women and children.
About 40 members of the 7th Cavalry were killed, but over half of them were victims of fratricide from the Hotchkiss guns of their overzealous comrades-in-arms. Twenty members of the 7th Cavalry’s death squad, were deemed “National Heroes” and were awarded the Medal of Honor for their acts of [cowardice] heroism.
We hear very little of Wounded Knee today. It is usually not mentioned in our history classes or books. What little that does exist about Wounded Knee is normally a sanitized “Official Government Explanation.” There are several historically inaccurate depictions of the events leading up to the massacre, which appear in movie scripts and are not the least bit representative of the actual events that took place that day.
Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people.
Before you jump on the emotionally charged bandwagon for gun-control, take a moment to reflect on the real purpose of the Second Amendment, the right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The argument that the Second Amendment only applies to hunting and target shooting is asinine. When the United States Constitution was drafted, “hunting” was an everyday chore carried out by men and women to put meat on the table each night, and “target shooting” was an unheard of concept. Musket balls were a precious commodity and were certainly not wasted on “target shooting.”
The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and it refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defensive purposes, should such tyranny arise in the United States .
As time goes forward, the average citizen in the United States continually loses little chunks of personal freedom or “liberty.”
Far too many times, unjust gun control bills were passed and signed into law under the guise of “for your safety” or “for protection.” The Patriot Act signed into law by G.W. Bush, was expanded and continues under Barack Obama. It is just one of many examples of American citizens being stripped of their rights and privacy for “safety.” Now, the right to keep and bear arms is on the table, and will, most likely be attacked to facilitate the path for the removal of our firearms, all in the name of “our safety.”
Before any American citizen blindly accepts whatever new firearms legislation that is about to be doled out, they should stop and think about something for just one minute-
Evil does exist in our world. It always has and always will.
Throughout history evil people have committed evil acts. In the Bible, one of the first stories is that of Cain killing his brother Abel. We can not legislate “evil” into extinction. Good people will abide by the law, and the criminal element will always find a way around it.
Evil exists all around us, but looking back at the historical record of the past 200 years, across the globe, where is “evil” and “malevolence” most often found? In the hands of those with the power, the government. The greatest human tragedies on record and the largest loss of innocent human life can be attributed to governments. Who do the governments always target? “Scapegoats” and “enemies” within their own borders, but only after they have been disarmed to the point where they are no longer a threat. Ask any Native American, and they will tell you it was inferior technology and lack of arms that contributed to their demise. Ask any Armenian why it was so easy for the Turks to exterminate millions of them, and they will answer “We were disarmed before it happened.” Ask any Jew what Hitler’s first step prior to the mass murders of the Holocaust was and they will tell you it was confiscation of firearms from the people.
Wounded Knee is the prime example of why the Second Amendment exists and why we should vehemently resist any attempts to infringe on our rights to bear arms. Without the Second Amendment we will be totally stripped of any ability to defend ourselves and our families.

Tomatoes & Avocados
Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, a pigment-rich antioxidant known as a carotenoid, which reduces cancer risk and cardiovascular disease. Fats make carotenoids more bioavailable, a fact that makes a strong case for adding tomatoes to your guacamole. “This also has a Mediterranean cultural tie-in,” says registered dietitian Susan Bowerman of California Polytechnic State University. “The lycopene in tomato products such as pasta sauce is better absorbed when some fat (e.g., olive oil) is present than if the sauce were made fat free.” This may also explain why we love olive oil drizzled over fresh tomatoes. And when it comes to salads, don’t choose low-fat dressings. A recent Ohio State University study showed that salads eaten with full-fat dressings help with the absorption of another carotenoid called lutein, which is found in green leafy vegetables and has been shown to benefit vision. If you don’t like heavy salad dressing, sprinkle walnuts, pistachios, or grated cheese over your greens.
Oatmeal & Orange Juice
A study from the Antioxidants Research Lab at the USDA shows that drinking vitamin C-rich orange juice while eating a bowl of real oatmeal (read: not processed) cleans your arteries and prevents heart attacks with two times as much efficacy as if you were to ingest either breakfast staple alone. The reason? The organic compounds in both foods, called phenols, stabilize your LDL cholesterol (low-density lipoprotein, or so-called “bad” cholesterol) when consumed together.
Broccoli & Tomatoes
New research shows that this combo prevents prostate cancer, but no one is sure why. In a recent cancer research study, John W. Erdman Jr., Ph.D., of the University of Illinois proved that the combination shrank prostate-cancer tumors in rats and that nothing but the extreme measure of castration could actually be a more effective alternative treatment. (What more motivation do you need to embrace this one-two punch?) “We know that tomato powder lowers the growth of tumors,” says Erdman. “We know that broccoli does, too. And we know they’re better together. But it’s going to take years to find out why.”
Blueberries & Grapes
“Eating a variety of fruit together provides more health benefits than eating one fruit alone,” says Bowerman. “Studies have shown that the antioxidant effects of consuming a combination of fruits are more than additive but synergistic.” In fact, a study published in the Journal of Nutritionby Rui Hai Liu, Ph.D., from Cornell University’s department of food science, looked at the antioxidant capacity of various fruits individually (apples, oranges, blueberries, grapes) versus the same amount of a mixture of fruits, and found that the mix had a greater antioxidant response. According to the study, this effect explains why “no single antioxidant can replace the combination of natural phytochemicals in fruits and vegetables.” The author also recommends eating five to 10 servings of a variety of fruits and vegetables daily to reduce disease risks, as opposed to relying on expensive dietary supplements for these compounds. “There are a huge number of compounds yet to be identified,” adds Jacobs.
Apples & Chocolate
Apples, particularly ‘Red Delicious’, are known to be high in an anti-inflammatory flavonoid called quercetin, especially in their skins. (Note: It’s important to buy organic, because pesticides concentrate in the skins of conventionally grown apples.) By itself, quercetin has been shown to reduce the risk of allergies, heart attack, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and prostate and lung cancers. Chocolate, grapes, red wine, and tea, on the other hand, contain the flavonoid catechin, an antioxidant that reduces the risks for atherosclerosis and cancer. Together, catechins and quercetin loosen clumpy blood platelets, improving cardiovascular health and providing anticoagulant activity, according to a study done by Barry Halliwell, Ph.D., a leading food science professor at the National University of Singapore. Quercetin is also found in buckwheat, onions, and raspberries. Susan Kraus, a clinical dietitian at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, recommends the following combinations: sangria with cut-up apples; green tea with buckwheat pancakes and raspberries; and kasha (roasted buckwheat, made in a pilaf) cooked with onions.
Lemon & Kale
“Vitamin C helps make plant-based iron more absorbable,” says nutritionist Stacy Kennedy of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. It actually converts much of the plant-based iron into a form that’s similar to what’s found in fish and red meats. (Iron carries oxygen to red blood cells, staving off muscle fatigue.) Kennedy suggests getting your vitamin C from citrus fruits, leafy green vegetables, strawberries, tomatoes, bell peppers, and broccoli, and getting plant-based iron from leeks, beet greens, kale, spinach, mustard greens, Swiss chard, and fortified cereals. So whether you’re sautéing dark greens or making a salad, be sure to include a squeeze of citrus. You’ll increase your immunity and muscle strength with more punch than by eating these foods separately.
Soy (yes, soy) & Salmon
It’s true that soy has been shown in studies to lower sperm counts, but that’s mainly in processed forms such as soy cheese, soy milk, and the unpronounceable forms listed on the labels of your favorite artery-clogging processed foods. This means that eating unprocessed forms of soy, such as edamame and tofu, is perfectly fine in moderation. That’s good news, because an isoflavone in soy called genistein inhibits enzymes in the colon and prostate, raising the amount of vitamin D bioavailability in those tissues, according to Mark Messina, Ph.D., former director of the diet and cancer branch of the National Cancer Institute at the National Institutes of Health and now an adjunct associate professor at Loma Linda University. “The higher vitamin D levels may offer protection against cancer,” says Messina. “There is emerging research suggesting that vitamin D reduces cancer risk, and many people don’t get enough of the vitamin. You do make it in your skin, but most people don’t make enough.” Fish such as salmon and tuna are high in vitamin D, so take a cue from the Asian diet and eat fish with a side of edamame.
Peanuts & Whole Wheat
According to Diane Birt, Ph.D., a professor at Iowa State University and a food synergy expert, the specific amino acids absent in wheat are actually present in peanuts. You need, and very rarely receive in one meal, the complete chain of amino acids (the best form of protein) to build and maintain muscle, especially as you get older. In short, while this combo exhibits only what Birt calls a “loose definition” of food synergy, it gives good evidence that a peanut-butter sandwich isn’t junk food if it’s prepared with whole-wheat bread (not white) and eaten in moderation (once a day). So enjoy a peanut-butter sandwich right after a workout instead of drinking a terrible gym-rat shake. Just make sure the peanut butter doesn’t have added sugar, chemical ingredients you can’t pronounce, or cartoon characters on the label.
Red Meat & Rosemary
Grilling over an open flame produces nasty carcinogens, but if you get a little more experimental with your spices, you can temper the cancer-causing effects of the charred flesh. The herb rosemary, which mixes well with all kinds of grilled foods and contains the antioxidants rosmarinic acid and carnosic acid, was recently shown in a Kansas State University study to lower the amount of the cancer-causing heterocyclic amines (or HCAs) that appear in the charred meat when you grill at temperatures of 375°F to 400°F. Why? It’s thought that the herb’s antioxidants literally soak up the meat’s dangerous free radicals.
Turmeric & Black Pepper
A tangy yellow South Asian spice used in curry dishes, turmeric has long been studied for its anticancer properties, anti-inflammatory effects, and tumor-fighting activities known in nutrition-speak as anti-angiogenesis. The active agent in the spice is a plant chemical, or polyphenol, called curcumin. One of the problems with using turmeric to improve your health, according to Kennedy, is its low bioavailability when eaten on its own. But there’s a solution, and it’s probably in your pantry. “Adding black pepper to turmeric or turmeric-spiced food enhances curcumin’s bioavailability by 1,000 times, due to black pepper’s hot property called piperine,” says Kennedy. “This is one reason, it’s thought, that curry has both turmeric (curcumin) and black pepper combined.” Translation: You’ll get the benefits of turmeric if you pepper up your curries.
Garlic & Fish
Most seafood lovers don’t realize there’s a synergy of nutrients inside a piece of fish: Minerals such as zinc, iron, copper, iodine, and selenium work as cofactors to make the best use of the natural anti-inflammatory and cholesterol-reducing fish oils EPA and DHA. What’s more, cooking your fish with garlic lowers your total cholesterol better than eating those fillets or cloves alone. A study at the University of Guelph, in Ontario, found that garlic keeps down the small increase in LDL cholesterol that might result from fish-oil supplements.
Eggs & Cantaloupe
The most popular (and an awfully complete form of) breakfast protein works even better for you when you eat it with the good carbohydrates in your morning cantaloupe. According to Kennedy, a very basic food synergy is the concept of eating protein with foods that contain beneficial carbohydrates, which we need for energy. Protein, Kennedy reminds us, slows the absorption of glucose, or sugar, from carbohydrates. “This synergy helps by minimizing insulin and blood-sugar spikes, which are followed by a crash, zapping energy. High insulin levels are connected with inflammation, diabetes, cancer, and other diseases. By slowing the absorption of glucose, your body can better read the cues that you are full. This helps prevent everything from overeating to indigestion.” So cut as many bad carbs (i.e., anything white, starchy, and sugary) as you want. But when you eat healthful carbs (whole grains, fruit, vegetables), don’t eat them on their own.
Almonds & Yogurt
We already know that good fats help increase lycopene absorption. But did you know that many essential vitamins are activated and absorbed best when eaten with fat? Vitamins that are considered fat-soluble include A, D, and E. Carrots, broccoli, and peas are all loaded with vitamin A and should be paired with a healthy fat such as the kind found in olive oil. Vitamin D-rich products include fish, milk, yogurt, and orange juice. So toss some almonds into your yogurt, eat full-fat dairy foods, and pair your morning OJ with a slice of bacon. To get the most vitamin E with fat-soluble foods, try baked sweet-potato slices or spinach salad topped with olive oil.
Multinational drug companies hold Greece hostage by denying shipments of medicine; 90% supply reduction; citizens in near-panic
In a classic example of an anti-free-market collapse, fifty pharmaceutical companies are now halting supplies of drug medicines to the nation of Greece, causing severe shortages of over 200 popular pharmaceutical medicines there. Pfizer, Roche, GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi and many other have all reportedly joined in the partial embargo out of a fear that the low-priced drugs sold to Greece would be intercepted and sold off to buyers in other countries where drug prices are kept artificially high due to Big Pharma’s monopolistic practices.
So instead of lowering the prices of drugs in nearby countries in order to stem the outflow of medicines from Greece, mega drug giants like GSK — a company that has already pleaded guilty to multiple felony crimes in the USA — are reportedly limiting or in some cases halting shipments to Greece, causing a nationwide collapse of chemical medicine.
Pharmacies say supplies have been slashed by 90% across the board, and one pharmacist says, “The government is panic-stricken.” (SOURCE)
Greek medical patients in near-panic
People are standing in line for hours to get prescriptions filled, and when they learn the drugs aren’t available, there is a lot of “screaming and shouting.” Greek citizens are in a state of desperation and anger. “We have reached a tragic point,” says one pharmacist there.
The Greek government, always ready to make things worse in the middle of a crisis, is attempting to solve this monopolistic market problem by criminalizing pharmaceutical exports, thereby blocking the outflow of low-cost drugs from Greece and hopefully ending the near-embargo that has been put in place by multinational drug companies.
Every problem caused by collusion between Big Pharma and big government can apparently be solved by deepening the collusion between Big Pharma and big government, we are led to believe.
Greece is now beholden to the financial interests of drug companies
What’s really bizarre about this whole situation is that all these people desperately standing in line for toxic pharmaceuticals have a massive supply of natural compounds growing in plants all around them — even in their own back yards!
But Greece, like many countries, has long abandoned the idea that herbs and plants might have medicinal properties, thereby binding its fate to the whims of Big Pharma, an industry that consistently and callously places a much higher value on corporate profits than human life.
It’s also quite clear from all this that drug companies can hold nations hostage to their economic demands, charging almost any price they want for their patented chemical cocktails. Any nation that refuses to pay the asking price (or enact monopolistic laws that protect the interests of the drug companies) can and will be punished by withholding medicine from that country.
The true nature of Big Pharma is really on display here for the whole world to see. What we’re learning is that any nation foolish enough to hand over its health system to the for-profit system of chemical medicine should be prepared to be targeted by that very system, held hostage for corporate profits at any cost to society.

Hacktivists claim the data dump reveals that Bank of America hired at least one web intelligence firm to spy on hackers, social activists and numerous other private citizens.
Cancer is a life threatening disease that kills hundreds of thousands of people every year. The conventional health industry claims that cancer is incurable. However, many health practitioners have cured cancer to a great degree using alternative cancer treatments. All diseases and health conditions of the body are energy-based; therefore, it makes perfect sense to heal them with electromagnetic energy.
Most of us and doctors do not understand that pre-cancer cells develop in our bodies on a regular basis. The reason why we do not show physical symptoms of cancer is because our immune system, along with natural killer (NK) cells, find the pre-cancer cells and destroy them before they grow out of control. The technique uses a magnetic field to flip a “self-destruct” switch in tumours.
Researchers have demonstrated that the process works in bowel cancer cells and living laboratory fish. Programmed cell death, or apoptosis, is one of the body’s ways of getting rid of old, faulty or infected cells.
In response to certain signals, the doomed cell shrinks and breaks into fragments. These are then engulfed and consumed by amoeba-like immune cells.
Often in cancer, apoptosis fails and cells are allowed to keep dividing uncontrollably.
The magnetic therapy involves creating tiny iron nanoparticles attached to antibodies which bind to “receptor” molecules on tumour cells. When the magnetic field is applied, the molecules cluster together, automatically triggering the “death signal” that sets off apoptosis.
The more one researches mind control, the more one will come to the conclusion that there is a coordinated script that has been in place for a very long time with the goal to turn the human race into non-thinking automatons. For as long as man has pursued power over the masses, mind control has been orchestrated by those who study human behavior in order to bend large populations to the will of a small “elite” group.
Today, we have entered a perilous phase where mind control has taken on a physical, scientific dimension that threatens to become a permanent state if we do not become aware of the tools at the disposal of the technocratic dictatorship unfolding on a worldwide scale.
Modern mind control is both technological and psychological. Tests show that simply by exposing the methods of mind control, the effects can be reduced or eliminated, at least for mind control advertising and propaganda. More difficult to counter are the physical intrusions, which the military-industrial complex continues to develop and improve upon.
1. Education— This is the most obvious, yet still remains the most insidious. It has always been a would-be dictator’s ultimate fantasy to “educate” naturally impressionable children, thus it has been a central component to Communist and Fascist tyrannies throughout history. 2. Advertising and Propaganda— Edward Bernays has been cited as the inventor of the consumerist culture that was designed primarily to target people’s self-image (or lack thereof) in order to turn a want into a need. This was initially envisioned for products such as cigarettes, for example. However, Bernays also noted in his 1928 book, Propaganda, that “propaganda is the executive arm of the invisible government.” This can be seen most clearly in the modern police state and the growing citizen snitch culture, wrapped up in the pseudo-patriotic War on Terror. The increasing consolidation of media has enabled the entire corporate structure to merge with government, which now utilizes the concept of propaganda placement. Media; print, movies, television, and cable news can now work seamlessly to integrate an overall message which seems to have the ring of truth because it comes from so many sources, simultaneously. When one becomes attuned to identifying the main “message,” one will see this imprinting everywhere. And this is not even to mention subliminal messaging.
3. Food, Water, and Air — Many still deny that predictive programming is real. I would invite anyone to examine the range of documentation put together by Alan Watt and come to any other conclusion. Predictive programming has its origins in predominately elitist Hollywood, where the big screen can offer a big vision of where society is headed. Just look back at the books and movies which you thought were far-fetched, or “science fiction” and take a close look around at society today. 4. Sports, Politics, Religion — Some might take offense at seeing religion, or even politics, put alongside sports as a method of mind control. The central theme is the same throughout: divide and conquer. The techniques are quite simple: short circuit the natural tendency of people to cooperate for their survival, and teach them to form teams bent on domination and winning. Sports has always had a role as a key distraction that corrals tribal tendencies into a non-important event, which in modern America has reached ridiculous proportions where protestswill break out over a sport celebrity leaving their city, but essential human issues such as liberty are giggled away as inconsequential. Political discourse is strictly in a left-right paradigm of easily controlled opposition, while religion is the backdrop of nearly every war throughout history.
5. Food, Water, and Air— Additives, toxins, and other food poisons literally alter brain chemistry to create docility and apathy. Fluoride in drinking water has been proven to lower IQ; Aspartame and MSG are excitotoxins which excite brain cells until they die; and easy access to the fast food that contains these poisons generally has created a population that lacks focus and motivation for any type of active lifestyle. Most of the modern world is perfectly groomed for passive receptiveness — and acceptance — of the dictatorial elite. And if you choose to diligently watch your diet, they are fully prepared to spray the population from the above.
6. Drugs— This can be any addictive substance, but the mission of mind controllers is to be sure you are addicted to something. One major arm of the modern mind control agenda is psychiatry, which aims to define all people by their disorders, as opposed to their human potential. This was foreshadowed in books such as Brave New World. Today, it has been taken to even further extremes as a medical tyranny has taken hold where nearly everyone has some sort of disorder — particularly those who question authority. The use of nerve drugs in the military has led to record numbers of suicides. Worst of all, the modern drug state now has over 25% of U.S. childrenon mind-numbing medication.
7. Military testing — The military has a long history as the testing ground for mind control. The military mind is perhaps the most malleable, as those who pursue life in the military generally resonate to the structures of hierarchy, control, and the need for unchallenged obedience to a mission. 8. Electromagnetic spectrum — An electromagnetic soup envelops us all, charged by modern devices of convenience which have been shown to have a direct impact on brain function.
In a tacit admission of what is possible, one researcher has been working with a “god helmet” to induce visions by altering the electromagnetic field of the brain.
Our modern soup has us passively bathed by potentially mind-altering waves, while a wide range of possibilities such as cell phone towers is now available to the would-be mind controller for more direct intervention.
9. Television, Computer, and “flicker rate”— It’s bad enough that what is “programmed” on your TV (accessed via remote “control”) is engineered; it is all made easier by literally lulling you to sleep, making it a psycho-social weapon. Flicker rate tests show that alpha brain waves are altered, producing a type of hypnosis — which doesn’t portend well for the latest revelation that lights can transmit coded Internet data by “flickering faster than the eye can see.” The computer’s flicker rate is less, but through video games, social networks, and a basic structure which overloads the brain with information, the rapid pace of modern communication induces an ADHD state. A study of video games revealed that extended play can result in lower blood flow to the brain, sapping emotional control. Furthermore, role-playing games of lifelike war and police state scenarios serve to desensitize a connection to reality. 10. Nanobots — From science fiction horror, directly to the modern brain; the nanobots are on the way. Direct brain modification already has been packaged as “neuroengineering.” A Wired article from early 2009 highlighted that direct brain manipulation via fiber optics is a bit messy, but once installed “it could make someone happy with the press of a button.” Nanobots take the process to an automated level, rewiring the brain molecule by molecule. Worse, these mini droids can self-replicate, forcing one to wonder how this genie would ever get back in the bottle once unleashed. Expected date of arrival? Early 2020s.
A concerted effort is underway to manage and predict human behavior so that the social scientists and the dictatorial elite can control the masses and protect themselves from the fallout of a fully awake free humanity. Only by waking up to their attempts to put us to sleep do we stand a chance of preserving our free will.
