Pharmaceutical Companies: An $84 Million Marketing Effort in the District of Columbia
Drug companies spent nearly $84 million marketing pharmaceuticals in the District of Columbia in 2011, including an outlay of nearly $19 million for gifts given to physicians, hospitals and other health care providers, according to a report by researchers at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services (SPHHS). The report notes that 12 physicians in the District received gifts (including consulting payments) that totaled more than $100,000 apiece that one year alone.
“There is nothing inherently wrong with such gifts,” said Susan F. Wood, PhD, lead researcher and an associate professor of health policy and of environmental and occupational health at SPHHS. “However, this report draws attention to the amount being spent on marketing drugs and raises questions about whether some heavily marketed drugs may be prescribed more extensively than is appropriate.”
The report fulfills the requirement of a 2004 law in the District of Columbia that requires all pharmaceutical companies to file annual reports describing their prescription-drug marketing activities in the District. The AccessRx Act also requires analysis of these reports to determine how pharmaceutical marketing may affect healthcare services in the District.
In fact, a previous study by Wood and her colleagues showed that drug companies making antipsychotic drugs gave a disproportionate amount of gifts and payments to District psychiatrists who treat Medicaid patients. Close ties between the drug companies and psychiatrists might have led to inappropriate prescribing for Medicaid patients, and particularly for children, according to D.C. Council Member David Catania, who held a hearing on the issue last November.
“Antipsychotics are often prescribed to children who are not in fact psychotic but have behavioral problems,” said Adriane Fugh-Berman, MD, a co-author on both reports and an associate professor of pharmacology and physiology at Georgetown University Medical Center. “These powerful drugs also act as sedatives and might lead to less disruptive behavior, but at what cost?” Antipsychotics are also associated with health problems including obesity and Type II diabetes, she said.
The current report doesn’t single out specific drugs or name any doctors or other providers but it does give an overview of the money that drug companies spent on marketing their products in the District. The report notes that drug companies spent a total of $83.7 million for advertising, gifts and aggregate expenses in 2011 — slightly less than 2010. Still, the report found that a small number of companies — 23 out of 158 — reported marketing expenditures of more than $1 million apiece. “That is an astonishing amount of money being spent on marketing prescription drugs in the District,” said Wood.
The report also found that 22 percent of total marketing expenditures, or $18.9 million, went to “gifts” — a category that included grants, speaker’s fees and food. Drug companies may treat a select group of doctors to dinner and a sales pitch at a local restaurant, as well as provide delivered meals to medical practices, Wood said.
Hospitals, clinics and other organizations received gifts totaling $9.7 million, and individuals received $9.2 million. Some nurses and pharmacists received gifts in 2011 but most of the pharmaceutical company largesse, nearly 82 percent went to doctors. Most gifts to doctors were described by the drug companies as speaking fees and were paid in the form of cash or checks, the report said.
Other findings of the report include:
- Out of nearly 3,400 physicians in the District who received at least one food gift, 444 received ten or more meals from pharmaceutical companies during 2011 and 33 physicians got 52 or more of these food gifts. This finding suggests some physicians are dining with drug reps on a weekly basis.
- The top ten professional organizations (representing health professionals in a specific specialty or demographic group) received a total of $3.5 million, with half of those gifts valued at $20,000 or more.
- The top ten Disease-Specific Organizations based in the District received $2.1 million in gifts such as cash or checks from drug companies. These organizations often represent and advise patients, and the concern is that large gifts could sway such groups to favor or recommend the company’s products, the report said.
The report, which was commissioned by the Department of Health (DOH) in the District of Columbia, notes that under the Affordable Care Act pharmaceutical companies will begin publicly reporting gifts to physicians and teaching hospitals in September 2014. At that time, the authors say that the District could publicly release the names of all gift recipients, a step that would allow patients to have information about the financial relationship between drug companies and all of their health care providers.

Under CISPA, Who Can Get Your Data?
Under CISPA, companies can collect your information in order to “protect the rights and property” of the company, and then share that information with third parties, including the government, so long as it is for “cybersecurity purposes.” Companies aren’t required to strip out personally identifiable information from the data they give to the government, and the government can then use the information for purposes wholly unrelated to cybersecurity – such as “national security,” a term the bill leaves undefined.
One question we sometimes get is: Under CISPA, which government agencies can receive this data? For example, could the FBI, NSA, or Immigration and Customs Enforcement receive data if CISPA were to pass?
The answer is yes. Any government agency could receive data from companies if this were to pass, meaning identifiable data could be flowing to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the National Security Agency, or even the Food and Drug Administration.

Well, the truth is that when you take a look at the cold, hard numbers it is not difficult to see why the global financial pyramid scheme is destined to fail. In the United States today, there is approximately 56 trillion dollars of total debt in our financial system, but there is only about 9 trillion dollars in our bank accounts. So you could take every single penny out of the banks, multiply it by six, and you still would not have enough money to pay off all of our debts. Overall, there is about 190 trillion dollars of total debt on the planet. But global GDP is only about 70 trillion dollars. And the total notional value of all derivatives around the globe is somewhere between 600 trillion and 1500 trillion dollars. So we have a gigantic problem on our hands. The global financial system is a very shaky house of cards that has been constructed on a foundation of debt, leverage and incredibly risky derivatives. We are living in the greatest financial bubble in world history, and it isn’t going to take much to topple the entire thing. And when it falls, it is going to be the largest financial disaster in the history of the planet.
The global financial system is more interconnected today than ever before, and a crisis at one major bank or in one area of the world can spread at lightning speed. As I wrote about yesterday, the entire European banking system is leveraged 26 to 1 at this point. A decline in asset values of just 4 percent would totally wipe out the equity of many of those banks, and once a financial panic begins we could potentially see major financial institutions start to go down like dominoes.
We got a small taste of what that is like back in 2008, and it is inevitable that it will happen again.
Anyone that would tell you that the current global financial system is sustainable does not know what they are talking about. Just look at the numbers that I have posted below.
The following is the global financial pyramid scheme by the numbers…
–$9,283,000,000,000 – The total amount of all bank deposits in the United States. The FDIC has just 25 billion dollars in the deposit insurance fund that is supposed to “guarantee” those deposits. In other words, the ratio of total bank deposits to insurance fund money is more than 371 to 1.
–$10,012,800,000,000 – The total amount of mortgage debt in the United States. As you can see, you could take every penny out of every bank account in America and it still would not cover it.
–$10,409,500,000,000 – The M2 money supply in the United States. This is probably the most commonly used measure of the total amount of money in the U.S. economy.
–$15,094,000,000,000 – U.S. GDP. It is a measure of all economic activity in the United States for a single year.
–$16,749,269,587,407.53 – The size of the U.S. national debt. It has grown by more than 10 trillion dollars over the past ten years.
–$32,000,000,000,000 – The total amount of money that the global elite have stashed in offshore banks (that we know about).
–$50,230,844,000,000 – The total amount of government debt in the world.
–$56,280,790,000,000 – The total amount of debt (government, corporate, consumer, etc.) in the U.S. financial system.
–$61,000,000,000,000 – The combined total assets of the 50 largest banks in the world.
–$70,000,000,000,000 – The approximate size of total world GDP.
–$190,000,000,000,000 – The approximate size of the total amount of debt in the entire world. It has nearly doubled in size over the past decade.
–$212,525,587,000,000 – According to the U.S. government, this is the notional value of the derivatives that are being held by the top 25 banks in the United States. But those banks only have total assets of about 8.9 trillion dollars combined. In other words, the exposure of our largest banks to derivatives outweighs their total assets by a ratio of about 24 to 1.
–$600,000,000,000,000 to $1,500,000,000,000,000 – The estimates of the total notional value of all global derivatives generally fall within this range. At the high end of the range, the ratio of derivatives to global GDP is more than 21 to 1.
Are you starting to get the picture?
Every single day, the total amount of debt will continue to grow faster than the total amount of money until the day that this bubble bursts.
What we witnessed back in 2008 was just a little “hiccup” in the system. It caused the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, but global financial authorities were able to get things stabilized.
Next time it won’t be so easy.
The next wave of the economic collapse is quickly approaching. A full-blown economic depression has already started in southern Europe. Unemployment is at record highs and economic activity is contracting rapidly.
The major offshore banking centers in Cyprus are on the verge of collapsing. It was just announced that they will now be closed until Tuesday, but nobody really knows for sure when they will be allowed to reopen. And there is already talk that when they do reopen that there will be strict limits on how much money people can take out.
And now the IMF is warning that the three biggest banks in Slovenia are failing and that a billion euros will be needed to bail them out.
The dominoes are starting to tumble, and the United States won’t be immune. In fact, the greatest financial problems that the United States has ever seen are on the horizon.
But you can just have faith that Ben Bernanke, Barack Obama and the U.S. Congress know exactly what they are doing and will be able to save us from the coming financial collapse if you want.
The mainstream media will provide you with all of the positive economic news that you could possibly want. They are giddy about the fact that the Dow keeps hitting all-time highs and they would have us all believe that we are in the midst of a robust economic recovery. You can listen to them if you want to.
But when you are tempted to believe that everything is going to be “okay” somehow, just go back and look at the numbers there were posted above one more time.
There is no way that the global financial pyramid scheme is going to be able to hold up for too much longer. At some point it is going to totally collapse. When that happens, will you be ready?

Television is – and has always been – a Weapon of Mass Distraction.
The power of TV-imagery was the driving force behind the 9/11 deception.
Whenever a major news event is reported by the mainstream media, it will invariably be illustrated with photographs or videos in order to convey to the public some visual impressions of the event. Undeniably, the imagery connected with any given news story enhances our emotional relation to it. The way we relate to news imagery has an almost hypnotic effect on our psyche: we have come to consider the visuals of any given news story as proof of that news story’s authenticity. This is truly a ‘weak spot’ of our brains’ readiness for critical-thinking. Thus follows, unfortunately, that to challenge the authenticity of a catastrophic event shown on Live TV is way beyond what most people are willing to contemplate. However, the time has come for everyone to call television by its most appropriate, military-sounding name: “Weapon of Mass Distraction”.
The 9/11 psyop relied foremostly on that ‘weak spot’ of ours. We all fell for the images we saw on TV at the time — understandably so, as the sheer horror of the proposed imagery generated a wall of outrage and fear — thick enough to discourage any critical review of it. In hindsight, we can only wonder why so few questioned the absurd TV coverage proposed by all the major networks.
WHAT TELEVISION VIEWERS SAW ON 9/11
The 9/11 TV imagery (of the crucial morning events) was just a computer-animated, pre-fabricated movie. It featured for the most part what were meant to be “chopper shots” of the smoking towers – and very little else. The sum total of “Action Shots” (“Planecrash” and “Tower collapses”) amounted to little over 30secs of the entire morning’s TV broadcasts ! Needless to say, much as the rest of the animation movie, none of these “Action Shots” depicted any sort of reality. Now, it may be difficult for many to understand why the 9/11 plotters needed to fake even the tower collapses; yet this was undoubtedly the most crucial aspect of the entire operation – and needs to be fully understood in its plain logic: The unprecedented WTC demolition job was far too risky an affair to be shown on LIVE TV – (or to let any amateur cameraman capture it on film). The 9/11 conspirators had no intention whatsoever to offer such a “pyrotechnical” spectacle to world scrutiny – just imagine how unspeakably foolish this would have been. Thus, in all probability, the oldest trick in the manuals of covert military ops was used: smokescreens. More recent technology deactivated temporarily all cameras within sight of the area. In reality, the towers were most likely enveloped in thick smoke (military obscurants) as they collapsed – and no real footage exists of that brief event. Thankfully – for all normal people of this world – the 9/11 planners hired a poorly skilled animation crew : in their efforts to simulate reality, their crass ‘artistry’ and countless mistakes provide ample and repeatable proof of the trickery – forever engraved in the TV archives.
WHY FAKE THE NEWS BROADCASTS ?
The 9/11 TV broadcasts were designed to ‘sell’ a fictitious terror attack to the world– by replacing the real-life events of the day (the WTC demolitions) with fake imagery. The official story was quite surreal – as were the TV images of the day and the preposterous tale of 19 kids roundly outfoxing the US Air Defense. It is essential to judge with one’s own eyes the broadcasts actually aired by ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and CNN.
WHAT ABOUT THE “AMATEUR” VIDEOS ?
All the other videos (endlessly replayed on TV) were released only later. They have all been extensively analyzed by scores of video analysts; each and every video snippet of “amateur imagery” has been methodically dissected and compared – and empirically proved to be nothing else than computer-generated fabrications.

It is also possible to be free of these fears and loosen the controls under which you live.
The purpose of programming fear into the masses of people is to control us – and is it ever effective! Fear, although it is a very low vibrational force, is an extremely powerful emotion. It is used extensively in brainwashing programs, because nothing makes the implanting stronger than a good dose of fear.
In order to rid ourselves of the fear, we must look at the methods used to instill it.
According to ancient stories, Nimrod of old Babylon, King of the Chaldees, known as a brave hunter of boars, convinced his people that there were great dangers outside his city walls (See Hegelian Dialectic and external threat), and that not only should the people live within its walls, but they should give him all their grain and other produce, plus any precious metals or gems, to hold in his protected bins for “security” (or rather, the illusion of safety). He even gave them a little clay tablet as a receipt that he told them could be traded for other goods. (Sound familiar?) But the people did as they were told because they were given a dose of fear. That is, until all the goods in Nimrod’s treasury were spent, leaving the city and its people bankrupt and open to invasion and defeat by the Persians. But still it left a genetic memory implant to fear a non-existent external threat.
In the dark ages the feudal system trained us to fear the lord of the manor, who was, in turn, controlled by the church. The lord promised to protect his serfs from marauding bands of strangers (the fear factor) if they would work the land and give him all but a minuscule part of what they produce – just enough for the serfs to stay alive to be able to work the land next spring. If he sold his estate, they were considered part of the property – nothing more important than a plow. Education was repressed for the masses and allowed only to the gentry, lest the serfs discover the deception they had been enslaved under. The people did as they were told because they were given a dose of fear. That is, until the repression was so heavy that it gave rise to all manner of secret societies where scholars could freely discuss more enlightened ideas. But still it left a genetic memory implant to fear a non-existent external threat.
The European Royalty did not bother inventing an outside entity for the people to fear. They taught their subjects to fear the kings and queens by the public execution of those who disobeyed their commandments. They used the guillotine or draw-and-quartering, and they made sure that the people watched the event. The people weren’t there because they wanted to see the blood and gore, they were there because the were commanded to do so. So the people did as they were told, because they were given a dose of fear. That is, until the people had enough and revolted, overturning or changing the monarchies. But still it left a genetic memory implant to fear “authority”.
I’m going to use the term “Black Magic” here, but call it what you will – propaganda, mind control, group think, 100th monkey, etc., it’s all the same thing under different names. Regardless of whether or not you believe it or believe in it, it is what TBTP use, so it bears discussion. Under black magic rules, the subject of the malicious intent MUST ACQUIESCE FIRST. The victim must be in agreement on some level for the power to work. When you do not acquiesce, they have no power over you whatsoever.
So the choice of being groped so you can travel by air or not is very important, but not in the ways you may think. Most will say “I need to travel for my job.” Others will say “I want to be able to visit Grandma for the holidays.” And still others figure it’s a small price to pay to be able to go to Hawaii for vacation. But few really understand what is going on. The malicious, occult intent of all the enhanced security procedures is pure black magic being used against you.
It doesn’t matter to those who practice black magic whether you believe in it or not. For most of those who are employed by TPTB, they don’t really believe in it either – they are just compartmentalized functionaries, being used to carry out an esoteric mission. But the choice is still the same: you can either go through the cancer causing scanners or the pervert grope line. Either way they’ve got you by the balls. And they have you by your own choice, your own acquiescence.
How long would it take to get rid of the naked body scanners and the groping cretins of the TSA if only 10% of the air travelers, bus travelers, train travelers, shopping mall pedestrians, prom goers, et al, said’ “NO”, regardless of the personal consequences to their travel plans, but “YES” to the great awakening of their self-respect.
There is something far more valuable going on than your ability to have a job, to visit granny, to vacation in Hawaii. They really don’t want you to know how much they’ve gotten you to give up. Nothing you possess is more valuable than your sacred choice. The most important thing TPTB try do you is make you forget that you have a choice. And they do it with fear.
Those who allow this fear into their lives – with excuses like it’s my job, my visit with relatives, my vacation – need to realize they are being deeply conditioned to acquiesce to the next piece of your humanity that TPTB want to take from you.
TPTB are just waiting for you to say “please let me visit granny, please let me have my job, please let me have my vacation” or whatever carrot they dangle in front of you next, whatever next manufactured fear they have a solution for, waiting for you to acquiesce, to ask them to take your natural rights, so that you feel secure against whatever imaginary monster they have caused you to fear.
No to What?
No to someone’s else controlling your mind
No to having your genitals grabbed to board an airplane or go ANYWHERE!
No to wars fought in your name!
No to being programmed by TV
No to the false Left/Right paradigm
No to accepting anything as truth just because someone “in authority” told you so!
Now we are being taught to fear “Al-CIA-da”, Muslims as a whole, and most of all, each other. Are you perfectly willing to accept travel papers to travel within the USA? Taser bracelets to fly? Aggressive cavity searches (a TSA term, I didn’t make it up)? Having your passport invalidated by the IRS? Being put on a no-fly/no-gun buy/no work list because of your opinion?
The greatest occult secret is your ability to say “NO” to that which is wrong. Remember the story that saying “Get behind me, Satan” requires him to step aside? You have that much power, and they – all the Satans out there – have none UNLESS YOU GIVE IT TO THEM. Your power – and your sacred duty – is to say “NO” to that which is wrong.
- A lone man faced Chinese tanks in Bejing’s Tienanmen Square by saying NO and the tanks stopped.
- Nelson Mandela faced life in prison by saying NO and apartheid in South Africa stopped.
- The French Revolutionaries faced the guillotine by saying NO and the oppression stopped.

- A woman from Atlanta, Georgia was told she had to go to a distant seminar for her job. She said NO. She told her employer that she would not agree to being groped nor irradiated in order to fly. They sent another employee in her place. Her co-workers asked why going through the TSA was a problem for her. She said, “Because it’s not a problem for you,” and then proceeded to educate them on what is going on around them.
What sets these people apart in history is not only that they said NO, but that they continued to say NO in the face of adversity – even under extreme persecution, some even unto the threat of death.
If we acquiesce to being controlled, if we give up our personal dignity to be a part of that which is indisputably a corrupt system, then are we not the reason for its existence? Don’t we hold some amount of responsibility for the tyranny and oppression by not exercising our sacred responsibility to say NO?
The next time you’re in line at the airport, realize a very sacred thing is about to happen. You will be given a choice. You can choose to continue in that line, inching closer to the scanner and the gropers who will decide if you are someone worthy to be allowed to fly, pushed forward by the masses at your back. Or you can choose not to give away your power, you can choose not to acquiesce to their control. You can say NO.
What genetic memory do you want to leave to your progeny? Will you evolve into someone who makes their own life choices without fear? Will you break the chain of fear and allow your DNA to repair itself in and for future generations?
Gandhi defeated the British Empire by saying NO. Say NO to the fear. The pain will stop when you stop hitting your head against the wall.

Police State Raids Family’s Home: “The Fight Has Officially Been Brought To My Front Door”

When certified firearms instructor Shawn Moore posted a photo of his 11 year-old son on Facebook the last thing he expected was a SWAT style raid on his home. The picture showed his son, a licensed hunter, holding his new birthday gift, a .22 caliber rifle.
While Moore’s son proudly displaying his semi-automatic personal defense rifle was completely legal, an anonymous tipster contacted New Jersey’s Department of Children and Family Services and declared that the Moore family was neglecting and abusing their child, an unfounded accusation that led to the mobilization of local police who were apparently not at all concerned with the unconstitutionality of their actions which violated numerous protections of the Moore family including their right to bear arms, their right to be secure in their homes, their right to speak freely, and their right to be considered innocent until proven guilty.
Of critical importance is that the police who raided the Moore home never even saw the photo.
“It was all hear say. Just a phone call saying someone saw a pic of a child holding a gun,” reports Moore.
Shawn Moore recounted the incident at the Delaware Open Carry forums:
The fight has officially been brought to my front door.
Last night I was out with a buddy of mine. I got a text from my wife that the cops and DYFS [Division of Youth and Family Services] are at the house and they wanna check out my guns and needed me to open my safe.
I’m instantly on my way. I get in contact with [attorney] Evan Nappen on the way. I explain the situation.
I walk in my house and hand the phone to the first cop I see. Then direct all of them outside. DYFS got a call because of a pic of my son holding a gun.
They wanted to look around and check all my guns out, make sure they were all registered.
Obviously that didn’t go well because I refused.
I had Nappen on speaker phone the entire time so they had to deal with both of us. They kept trying to pressure me to open my safe. They had no warrant, no charges, nothing.
I didn’t budge.
I was told I was being “unreasonable” and that I was acting suspicious because I wouldn’t open my safe. Told me they were gonna get a search warrant. Told em go ahead.
Nappen (my lawyer) asked me for the DYFS workers name. She wouldn’t give it. I asked for credentials and she wouldn’t show them. I tried to take a pic of her and she turned around real fast and walked away.
After a while of them threatening to take my kids, get warrants and intimidation they left. Empty handed and seeing nothing.
People it can happen that fast.
Police and Family Services overstepped their bounds when they illegally entered this man’s home, demanded he open his gun safe, and threatened to take away his children because of an anonymous tip based on absolutely zero evidence.
This is the world in which we now find ourselves, where an American exercising his right to bear arms is considered suspicious simply because he refuses to give up his Constitutionally protected rights.
If you resist in any form or fashion you are immediately considered a criminal or terrorist.
The government and its storm troopers will continue to act brazenly, violating the rights of Americans until they are held accountable. As citizens, we are left with no other choice than to resist the tyranny and fight back, just as Shawn Moore did when they came for his guns AND his children. We can do this by understanding the laws of the land, and by documenting every interaction with officials of the government, who will stop at nothing to pursue their agenda and stroke their own egos.
They will come to each of our front doors, and when they do, we must resist. We must fight back with every tool our Founding Fathers afforded us.

Mankind’s Cradle of Civilisation Found in Java?
“Men fear time,” the old saying used to go, “but time fears the Sphinx.” That famous statue and Egypt’s Great Pyramid before which it has reclined for thousands of years have been long regarded as the most ancient monumental structures on Earth. Indeed, their late 20th century reappraisals indicated that they were even older than suspected.
Beginning in 1974, a medical physicist and colleague of Albert Einstein, Kurt Mendelssohn, showed that the Great Pyramid was not the 2560 BCE tomb of some vainglorious king described by mainstream scholars.1 Instead, the “Mountain of Ra” was raised nearly six centuries earlier, at the very outset of Pharaonic Civilisation, as a massive public works project to unify the numerous, divisive tribes of the Nile Delta in the common cause of its construction.
So too, the Great Sphinx – roughly contemporaneous, according to Egyptologists, with the Great Pyramid – has been back-dated to at least 5000 BCE – two millennia before the first Egyptian dynasty – by an American geologist at Boston University. During the early 1990s, Robert M. Schoch found that erosion on the Sphinx was not caused by the effects of wind-driven sand, as consensus opinion held, but by moving water, when conditions at the Nile Valley were far more rainy, long prior to the 26th century BCE.2
As recently as 2009, these extreme chronological disclosures were radically eclipsed by radiocarbon testing of a monumental ceremonial centre in southern Turkey. Its T-shaped pillars, arranged in concentric, stone circles emblazoned with anthropomorphic, zoomorphic and geometric bas-relief images, pushed the start of civilisation back to eleven thousand years ago. But now, even Gobekli Tepe’s primacy has been overtaken by the announcement last autumn of a much larger megalithic complex, half a world away from Anatolia, two thousand or more years older.
The paradigm-shattering ruins were found in western Java, fifty kilometres southwest of Cianjur, a city with more than two million residents; Jakarta lies one hundred twenty kilometres to the northwest. A half-hour drive over asphalt and unpaved roads to the village of Karyamukti passes through mountainous landscape dotted with rice paddies and farms flourishing in the volcanic soil with chillies, peanuts, pineapple and corn, then skirts an immense tea plantation. At Mount Padang, hardy visitors need about twenty minutes to climb some 370 stone steps, rising at almost a forty-degree angle, ninety-five metres to the summit, which is crowned with the largest megalithic site in southeastern Asia. It encompasses more than twenty-five hectares, including nine hundred square metres of five, rectangular, stone courtyards ascending northwest to southeast, precisely laid out on a series of landscaped terraces, and neatly organised into low walls, inner partitions, and outward gateways, all of them connected by flights of stairs.
Within and without the enclosures are dozens of standing monoliths, but many more lie scattered about. The entire complex comprises an estimated 3,703,700 black, andesite blocks ranging from one to two metres in length, and formed by geological processes into polygonal structures of five-, six- or eight-sided columns. (Andesite is an extrusive, igneous rock, a type of basalt formed by volcanic action.) Average dimensions for the columns are 0.3-by-0.3-by-1.5 metres. These smooth-sided blocks weigh from ninety to six hundred kilograms, with an average, individual weight of about three hundred kilograms. In other words, the site’s prehistoric workers transported approximately 1,111,110,000 kilograms (1,224,790 short tons) of building materials 885 metres above sea level, up the precipitous slopes of Mount Padang. Added to their burden was a non-local source for their andesite, which had to be brought in from some distant quarry unknown to academic scholars.
Archaeologists were further surprised to find traces of a kind of adhesive, glue or perhaps cement that bound some of the top courses of the walls. Beneath, investigators were perplexed by the presence of several layers of sand that had been deliberately incorporated into the original stonework by the prehistoric engineers, perhaps allowing the blocks to move and slide against each other with the motion of seismic disturbances, instead of rigidly resisting such geologic upheavals and breaking under tension. Here was possible evidence for ancient earthquake-proof construction. Java is notorious for its tectonic violence, which claimed the lives of about eighty victims as recently as 2 September 2009. But it seemed utterly inconceivable that some pre-industrial people living in a remote, Indonesian backwater could have actually applied a form of technology our modern world has only recently begun to grasp.
‘Musical’ Rocks
Contributing to the stones’ high strangeness, most of them possess an unusual quality that may have additionally warranted their distant importation by the ancient builders to the top of Mount Padang. Most of its andesite blocks and columns resonate with a bell-like tone when struck with another hard object. They belong to a rare, geological occurrence known as lithophony, the property of some rocks to emit musical sounds under percussive stress. Although only slightly more than one dozen lithophonic boulder fields have been identified in the world, most are found on private property, or have been obliterated by urban development.
Two, separate sites identically named “Ringing Rocks Park” may be visited in the United States at Upper Black Eddy and Lower Pottsgrove Township, or Stony Garden on the northern slope of Haycock Mountain, all in Pennsylvania. Yet another American “Ringing Rocks” field is found in Montana’s Deerlodge National Forest, on the southwestern flank of Dry Mountain, in Jefferson County, southeast of Butte. Australia has its own “Ringing Rocks” in northwest Queensland, and Mexico’s Cerro de las Campanas, or “Hill of the Bells,” is located on a hill in the city of Querétaro. There are the Musical Stones of Skiddaw in Cumbria, England, but Scotland’s Clach a’ Choire is more cogent to our investigation, because this “Ringing Stone Of Tiree” bears fifty-three circular “cup marks” made by New Stone Age musicians, 4,500 years ago. They, like the builders at far-off Java’s Mount Padang, discovered something unusually mystical in the bell-like sounds. Remarkably, all these various sites produce very different tones from one another; no two locations sound exactly alike.3
During laboratory testing of several lithophonic rocks in 1965, Pennsylvania geologist Richard Faas found that they created a series of tones at frequencies lower than the range of human hearing, and only became audible when they interacted with each other. Although lithophonic rocks sound metallic, their somewhat higher iron content is not responsible for such music, but rather a combination of the density of the stone and high degree of internal stress. Or so geologists speculate. In truth, beyond the cursory examinations undertaken by Faas, no actual studies to identify the source of lithophony have been made. Why some rocks produce ringing tones remains a scientific riddle.
Their anomalous appearance among the ruins of Mount Padang is another dimension of their ancient mystery. No doubt, they were used by the prehistoric inhabitants as part of their ceremonial and spiritual activities. A concentration of lithophonic rocks on the site’s first terrace is referred to as “the gamelan stones” for their suggestive arrangement and the variety of musical sounds they make. Notes they produce have been identified as F, G, D and A by Hokky Situngkir from the Bandung Fe Institute, an Indonesian research organisation.4
Alignments at Gunung Padang
Archaeo-astronomers have determined that at least several of Mount Padang’s larger standing stones point to very definite celestial phenomena, such as sunrise and sunset on the summer and winter solstices, together with those of the spring and vernal equinoxes. The ceremonial centre’s name may, in fact, have actually derived from these prehistoric solar orientations. For example, the word padang, in the language of the Sundanese people of West Java Province, translates as “bright.” Gunung Padang, the archaeological zone itself, is commonly referred to by native residents as Sundapura, or “the Shrine of the Sun,” while the hill on which the ruins are located (“Mount Padang”) is traditionally called Parahyang Padang: “Where The Sun Ancestors Dwell,” or “Place Of The Ancestors Of The Sun.” These names or titles imply that the original inhabitants were astronomer-priests and/or priestesses, who aligned some of their monoliths with important solar positions. As such, these “Sun Ancestors” were light-worshippers, not unlike the European megalith-builders, who often oriented their own standing stones in western France and the British Isles with identical solar coordinates. Today, Gunung Padang is still sought out as a holy place by the two hundred to seven hundred visitors, most of them religious pilgrims, who visit every month.
Geomantic alignments are also in evidence. Terrace I is deliberately aligned with nearby Mount Gede, where Karuhun cemetery has been revered for untold generations as the country’s oldest ancestral burial ground. Five, crudely sculpted, andesite thrones stand in Terrace II; six more are found in Terrace V. Although overshadowed by their massive courtyards, Mount Padang’s hundreds of stone terraces are themselves engineering marvels, two metres in height and diameter, with an uncanny resemblance to their far better known agricultural counterparts at another mountainous location on the other side of the world, in the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, among the Peruvian Andes.
The Mysterious Nan Madol
But this South American parallel is not Gunung Padang’s only overseas’ comparison. No less great is an astounding, perhaps kindred mystery 4,345 kilometres northeast from Java, in a remote corner of the western Pacific Ocean. Off the coast of the Micronesian island of Pohnpei – “Built Upon An Altar” – stand the massive ruins of a long-dead archaeological site. Incongruously built on a coral reef less than two metres above sea level, Nan Madol – “Spaces In Between” – is a series of rectangular islands and colossal towers choked by draping vegetation. Ninety-two man-made islands are enclosed within the “downtown” area’s 2.6 square kilometres. All are inter-connected by an extensive network of what appear to be massive canals, each nine metres across and more than one metre deep at high tide.
An estimated two hundred fifty million tons of prismatic basalt – related to Gunung Padang’s andesite – went into the construction of Nan Madol. Its stone girders rise in a cribwork configuration to eight metres. Between four and five million stone columns went into the construction of this prehistoric megalopolis. These prismatic columns range in length from one to four metres, although many reach six metres. Their average weight is around five tons each, but the larger examples weigh twenty or twenty-five tons apiece. An estimated four to five million basalt pillars, girders and logs went into building Nan Madol. It is, in effect, a double-walled enclosure comprising thirteen thousand, five hundred cubic metres of coral, with an additional four thousand, five hundred cubic metres of basalt. Remove all concealing vegetation, and visitors would behold crudely worked masses of basalt contrasting with orderly courses of stone rising in massive towers and overpowering walls amid a complex of smaller, rectangular buildings and man-made lakes interconnected by dozens of canals and numerous steps, sometimes formed into grand staircases, and spread out over eighteen square kilometres.
Construction migrated to the main island of Pohnpei, where a rectangular enclosure fifteen metres long by eleven metres wide, with bisecting, one-metre-high interior wall, was discovered in a remote, swampy meadow high in the mountains; its configuration and mountaintop setting are particularly reminiscent of Gunung Padang. Although the Micronesian island’s twin courtyards contain a five hundred square-metre area, a pair of inner platforms are only a third of a metre high. As at Nan Madol, roughly cut basalt boulders and basalt “logs” were stacked to form the enclosure. Several others stand on Pohnpei’s southwest coast, with the largest example atop a two hundred forty-metre-high mountain. The summit is entirely surrounded by walls about two metres high connected via paved walkways to several terraced platforms.
No one knows who raised them, when or why. Micronesian myth recounts only that exceptionally tall, twin-brother sorcerers, named Olisihpa and Olsohpa, arrived sometime during the ancient past in a “large canoe” from their distant homeland. It was a great kingdom of glittering splendour, until falling stars and earthquakes eventually destroyed Kanamwayso, which sank to the bottom of the sea. This native oral tradition seems like a variation on the more famous story of Mu, or Lemuria, a deeply ancient and supposedly sophisticated, pan-Pacific civilisation that exerted lasting influence on both Asia and America prior to its destruction by a natural catastrophe similar to the tsunami that ravaged northern Japan, in 2010. Before the analogous loss of Kanamwayso, Olisihpa and Olsohpa allegedly built the basalt enclosures and staircases that continue to grace Nan Madol and Pohnpei. Despite more than one hundred years of scientific investigations, however, no known culture has been associated with these places. Meanwhile, the moist, tropical climate skewers accurate carbon-dating at both locations.
Nor is their original purpose entirely clear. Nothing about either location suggests real urban centres, lacking as they do any provision for food production or storage. No human burials have been found there, save a few, individual skeletons of above-average stature – calling to mind local myths of the founding-fathers, Olisihpa and Olsohpa – unearthed by Japanese archaeologists during the 1930s. The rectangular arrangement of walls with regularly spaced openings and partitions suggest a ceremonial function. But for what people, and why in this extremely remote, obscure corner of the vast Pacific? Nevertheless, Nan Madol’s and Pohnpei’s fundamental resemblances to Gunung Padang imply, at the very least, a relationship of some kind, however inconceivable.
14,000 BCE?
Yet more extraordinary than even these comparisons and the monumental greatness of the Indonesian site itself is its uniquely profound age. The first archaeological survey of Gunung Padang appears in a “Report, the Department of Antiquities” (Rapporten van de Oudheidkundige Dienst) for Holland’s colonial office, whose anonymous author posited during 1914 that the ruins could not predate the official beginning of Java’s history in the early 5th century CE, although they appeared much older. For the rest of the 20th century, the site went unrecognised by the outside world, even after it was briefly mentioned by the prolific Dutch archaeological author, Dr. N.J. Krom, in 1946’s Under Palm And Banyan Trees.5
Thirty-three years later, a Canberra team from the Australian National University’s Centre for Archaeological Research – “dedicated to investigating and learning with and about the people, languages, and land of Asia and the Pacific region” – returned for the site’s first, scientific examination.6 In doing so, they determined that Gunung Padang was far older than previously imagined. Lichen growth alone covering many of the megaliths bespoke an antiquity going back millennia before Java’s earliest known culture. Not until February 2012, however, was a State-sponsored evaluation of the site carried out, when thorough radiocarbon testing revealed it was built and first occupied about 4,800 years ago. This surprisingly early Third Millennium BCE date placed Gunung Padang squarely within Western Europe’s Megalithic Age, with implications for transoceanic contact, however heretical such considerations struck conventional scholars.
But as the researchers were carrying out their investigations, they noticed traces on Mount Padang’s surface of what might be other, underground structures. No less a supporter of science than the President of Indonesia himself, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, lavished the archaeologists with costly GSSI and Multi-Channel SuperSting R-8 ground-penetrating radar units, plus GEM-Ovenhausser geo-magnetometers. These state-of-the-art instruments readily found and accurately confirmed the existence of large and small chambers, walls, gates and staircases buried deep beneath the often-visited, open-air ruins in a virtual subterranean mirror image of Gunung Padang.
According to team leader and geologist, Dr. Danny Hilman Natawidjaja, “3-D geo-electric and geo-radar [procedures] discovered two doors in the hallway” of a chamber measuring ten-by-ten-by-ten metres at a depth of twenty-five metres.7 Throughout last summer and into early fall, he and his twenty colleagues – leading seismologists, philologists, archaeologists, anthropologists, and petrographers – carefully dredged up organic materials, which were sent for laboratory testing in the United States, because the Indonesians were determined to avoid any appearance of politically motivated results.
“US lab validates Cianjur ‘ancient structure’ theory,” The Jakarta Post announced on 5 November. “A recent analysis of carbon-dating by the Miami-based Beta Analytic Lab has apparently validated findings by a government-sanctioned team that a man-made structure lies buried under Mount Padang in Cianjur, West Java. The lab used samples of sand, soil and charcoal found at a depth of between three and twelve metres beneath the mountain’s surface. Based on geo-electric, geo-radar and geo-magnetic [surveys], a large chamber is buried at least up to fifteen metres from the surface… Carbon-dating test results from the Miami lab show that the structure could date back to 14,000 B.C., or beyond.”8
Since publication of The Jakarta Post report, repeated and additional analysis by Beta Analytic scientists confirmed their initial 14,000 BCE findings. The significance of this discovery cannot be over-stated, because it crosses the Ice Age event horizon. Even Turkey’s Gobekli Tepe, for all its Tenth Millennium BCE antiquity, came into being only after the close of the last glacial epoch, when environmental conditions were moderating sufficiently to allow for the development of proto-civilisation. Less distracted by the incessant challenges to their survival, our ancestors were afforded opportunities for broader, more complex social cooperation. But Gunung Padang proves that humans were already in possession of a relatively high culture two thousand years earlier, while the Ice Age was still in progress.
This “Shrine of the Sun” has radically pushed back the origins of civilisation to remoter levels of time and space, because mainstream palaeo-anthropologists, fixated on Europe and the Near East, are resistant to the very notion of mankind’s transition from ‘savagery’ in Indonesia. Yet, it is precisely here that Stephen Oppenheimer, a British geneticist, member of Green Templeton College, Oxford, and an honorary fellow of Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, traced the beginnings of civilised mankind with his controversial Eden in the East, in 1999.9 It had been preceded during the previous century by The Lost Continent of Mu, written by another Englishman, James Churchward, an Imperial British Army colonel serving in India, where his translation of original Hindu monastery source materials likewise recorded how humans took that first step in the Western Pacific realm.10 My own The Lost Civilization of Lemuria (2006) and Before Atlantis (2013) similarly trace the rise of homo erectus in Java, his Pacific-wide dispersal and accelerated evolution after the eruption of history’s greatest volcanic event, and his descendants’ subsequent invention of civilisation.
These conclusions are wonderfully brought to life by recognition of Gunung Padang as Man’s earliest-known megalithic complex. Its apparent sophistication declares that it was not the first, but must have been preceded by the construction of even earlier ceremonial centres. Civilisation is, therefore, older than we presently comprehend. If, however, the quest for its ultimate origins goes on, and deeper into the past than ever imagined, then at the very least, Gunung Padang is pointing us in their proper direction.

World Renowned Heart Surgeon Speaks Out On What Really Causes Heart Disease
We physicians with all our training, knowledge and authority often acquire a rather large ego that tends to make it difficult to admit we are wrong. So, here it is. I freely admit to being wrong.. As a heart surgeon with 25 years experience, having performed over 5,000 open-heart surgeries,today is my day to right the wrong with medical and scientific fact.
I trained for many years with other prominent physicians labelled “opinion makers.” Bombarded with scientific literature, continually attending education seminars, we opinion makers insisted heart disease resulted from the simple fact of elevated blood cholesterol.
The only accepted therapy was prescribing medications to lower cholesterol and a diet that severely restricted fat intake. The latter of course we insisted would lower cholesterol and heart disease. Deviations from these recommendations were considered heresy and could quite possibly result in malpractice.
It Is Not Working!
These recommendations are no longer scientifically or morally defensible. The discovery a few years ago that inflammation in the artery wall is the real cause of heart disease is slowly leading to a paradigm shift in how heart disease and other chronic ailments will be treated.
The long-established dietary recommendations have created epidemics of obesity and diabetes, the consequences of which dwarf any historical plague in terms of mortality, human suffering and dire economic consequences.
Despite the fact that 25% of the population takes expensive statin medications and despite the fact we have reduced the fat content of our diets, more Americans will die this year of heart disease than ever before.
Statistics from the American Heart Association show that 75 million Americans currently suffer from heart disease, 20 million have diabetes and 57 million have pre-diabetes. These disorders are affecting younger and younger people in greater numbers every year.
Simply stated, without inflammation being present in the body, there is no way that cholesterol would accumulate in the wall of the blood vessel and cause heart disease and strokes. Without inflammation, cholesterol would move freely throughout the body as nature intended. It is inflammation that causes cholesterol to become trapped.
Inflammation is not complicated — it is quite simply your body’s natural defence to a foreign invader such as a bacteria, toxin or virus. The cycle of inflammation is perfect in how it protects your body from these bacterial and viral invaders. However, if we chronically expose the body to injury by toxins or foods the human body was never designed to process,a condition occurs called chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation is just as harmful as acute inflammation is beneficial.
What thoughtful person would willfully expose himself repeatedly to foods or other substances that are known to cause injury to the body? Well,smokers perhaps, but at least they made that choice willfully.
The rest of us have simply followed the recommended mainstream dietthat is low in fat and high in polyunsaturated fats and carbohydrates, not knowing we were causing repeated injury to our blood vessels. Thisrepeated injury creates chronic inflammation leading to heart disease, stroke, diabetes and obesity.
Let me repeat that: The injury and inflammation in our blood vessels is caused by the low fat diet recommended for years by mainstream medicine.
What are the biggest culprits of chronic inflammation? Quite simply, they are the overload of simple, highly processed carbohydrates (sugar, flourand all the products made from them) and the excess consumption of omega-6 vegetable oils like soybean, corn and sunflower that are found in many processed foods.
Take a moment to visualize rubbing a stiff brush repeatedly over soft skin until it becomes quite red and nearly bleeding. you kept this up several times a day, every day for five years. If you could tolerate this painful brushing, you would have a bleeding, swollen infected area that became worse with each repeated injury. This is a good way to visualize the inflammatory process that could be going on in your body right now.
Regardless of where the inflammatory process occurs, externally or internally, it is the same. I have peered inside thousands upon thousands of arteries. A diseased artery looks as if someone took a brush and scrubbed repeatedly against its wall. Several times a day, every day, the foods we eat create small injuries compounding into more injuries, causing the body to respond continuously and appropriately with inflammation.
While we savor the tantalizing taste of a sweet roll, our bodies respond alarmingly as if a foreign invader arrived declaring war. Foods loaded with sugars and simple carbohydrates, or processed withomega-6 oils for long shelf life have been the mainstay of the American diet for six decades. These foods have been slowly poisoning everyone.
How does eating a simple sweet roll create a cascade of inflammation to make you sick?
Imagine spilling syrup on your keyboard and you have a visual of what occurs inside the cell. When we consume simple carbohydrates such as sugar, blood sugar rises rapidly. In response, your pancreas secretes insulin whose primary purpose is to drive sugar into each cell where it is stored for energy. If the cell is full and does not need glucose, it is rejected to avoid extra sugar gumming up the works.
When your full cells reject the extra glucose, blood sugar rises producing more insulin and the glucose converts to stored fat.
What does all this have to do with inflammation? Blood sugar is controlled in a very narrow range. Extra sugar molecules attach to a variety of proteins that in turn injure the blood vessel wall. This repeated injury to the blood vessel wall sets off inflammation. When you spike your blood sugar level several times a day, every day, it is exactly like taking sandpaper to the inside of your delicate blood vessels.
While you may not be able to see it, rest assured it is there. I saw it in over 5,000 surgical patients spanning 25 years who all shared one common denominator — inflammation in their arteries.
Let’s get back to the sweet roll. That innocent looking goody not only contains sugars, it is baked in one of many omega-6 oils such as soybean. Chips and fries are soaked in soybean oil; processed foods are manufactured with omega-6 oils for longer shelf life. While omega-6’s are essential -they are part of every cell membrane controlling what goes in and out of the cell – they must be in the correct balance with omega-3’s.
If the balance shifts by consuming excessive omega-6, the cell membrane produces chemicals called cytokines that directly cause inflammation.
Today’s mainstream American diet has produced an extreme imbalance of these two fats. The ratio of imbalance ranges from 15:1 to as high as 30:1 in favor of omega-6. That’s a tremendous amount of cytokines causing inflammation. In today’s food environment, a 3:1 ratio would be optimal and healthy.
To make matters worse, the excess weight you are carrying from eating these foods creates overloaded fat cells that pour out large quantities of pro-inflammatory chemicals that add to the injury caused by having high blood sugar. The process that began with a sweet roll turns into a vicious cycle over time that creates heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetesand finally, Alzheimer’s disease, as the inflammatory process continues unabated.
There is no escaping the fact that the more we consume prepared and processed foods, the more we trip the inflammation switch little by little each day. The human body cannot process, nor was it designed to consume, foods packed with sugars and soaked in omega-6 oils.
There is but one answer to quieting inflammation, and that is returning to foods closer to their natural state. To build muscle, eat more protein. Choose carbohydrates that are very complex such as colorful fruits and vegetables. Cut down on or eliminate inflammation- causing omega-6 fats like corn and soybean oil and the processed foods that are made from them.
One tablespoon of corn oil contains 7,280 mg of omega-6; soybean contains 6,940 mg. Instead, use olive oil or butter from grass-fed beef.
Animal fats contain less than 20% omega-6 and are much less likely to cause inflammation than the supposedly healthy oils labelled polyunsaturated. Forget the “science” that has been drummed into your head for decades. The science that saturated fat alone causes heart disease is non-existent. The science that saturated fat raises blood cholesterol is also very weak. Since we now know that cholesterol is not the cause of heart disease, the concern about saturated fat is even more absurd today.
The cholesterol theory led to the no-fat, low-fat recommendations that in turn created the very foods now causing an epidemic of inflammation. Mainstream medicine made a terrible mistake when it advised people to avoid saturated fat in favor of foods high in omega-6 fats. We now have an epidemic of arterial inflammation leading to heart disease and other silent killers.
What you can do is choose whole foods your grandmother served and not those your mom turned to as grocery store aisles filled with manufactured foods. By eliminating inflammatory foods and adding essential nutrients from fresh unprocessed food, you will reverse years of damage in your arteries and throughout your body from consuming the typical American diet.

It is a well-known fact that our society is structured like a pyramid. The very few people at the top create conditions for the majority below. Who are these people? Conspiracy of Silence: The Franklin Cover Up (Full Documentary)
Conspiracy of Silence, a documentary listed for viewing in TV Guide Magazine was to be aired on the Discovery Channel, on May 3 1994. This documentary exposed a network of religious leaders and Washington politicians who flew children to Washington D.C. for sex orgies. Many children suffered the indignity of wearing nothing but their underwear and a number displayed on a piece of cardboard hanging from their necks when being auctioned off to foreigners in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Toronto, Canada.
At the last minute before airing, unknown congressmen threatened the TV Cable industry with restrictive legislation if this documentary was aired. Almost immediately, the rights to the documentary were purchased by unknown persons who ordered all copies destroyed.
A copy of this videotape was furnished anonymously to former Nebraska state senator and attorney John De Camp who made it available to retired FBI Agent Ted L. Gunderson. While the video quality is not top grade, this tape is a blockbuster in what is revealed by its participants involved.
Rachel – An American Conscience
The late Rachel Corrie (1979 – 2003) was articulate, straightforward and resolute. Her castigation of Israel’s military occupation of the Palestinian people and the Israeli Government’s disregard for the safety of Israelis and Palestinians rang with clarity. Through peace activism she ascertained the facts on the ground. She called it as she saw it.
The documentary, “Rachel Corrie: An American Conscience,” chronicles her humanitarian work with the International Solidarity Movement in Rafah, Gaza Strip, just prior to her murder in March 2003. While Corrie stood in front of a Palestinian home to prevent its demolition, an Israeli soldier in a Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer crushed her.
Terminator Eyes: Hi-tech contact lenses show texts and maps
Imagine texting while driving, or placing a call while showering, without holding your phone in your hands. It’s not sci-fi any more – a new technology allows information like text messages and driving directions to be projected onto a contact lens.
The hardware behind this invention is a spherical curved LCD display that can fit into a contact lens, developed by Ghent University’s Centre of Microsystems Technology in Belgium.
“This is not science fiction,” chief researcher for the project Jelle De Smet told the Telegraph. “This will never replace the cinema screen for films. But for specific applications it may be interesting to show images such as road directions or projecting text messages from our smart phones straight to our eye.”
These lenses may hit the market within the next few years. In an upgrade from previous models, a new LCD display allows the entire curved surface of the lens to be used.
Earlier versions were based on LEDs, where the display resolution would be limited to only a small number of pixels.
The University of Washington has also been developing new generation of contact lenses that would receive emails and would be able to project information from the Internet, much like in the movie ‘Terminator.’
Other uses of the lens include the concept of adaptable sunglasses – the contact lenses would darken on exposure to light. The lenses could also be used in the fields of medicine and cosmetics.
These advances mark the push for a much wider development of the technology, with the aim of creating a fully pixelated contact lens display as detailed as a television screen.
Tech giants such as Google and Apple have been working to develop similar technology. This past year, Google introduced Project Glass – frames for eyeglasses that project a small computer display into a person’s field of vision. Apple has reportedly patented similar innovations.

Rules of cyberwar set out for first time in Nato manual
A Nato handbook laying down the rules of cyber warfare has said governments should refrain from attacking hospitals and nuclear plants.
The manual is the first attempt to set out how international law applies to online attacks by the state, and warns that online attacks could lead to full-blown military conflicts.
The handbook, the result of three years collaboration between international experts for Nato’s Co-operative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence, defines a cyber attack as one that is “reasonably expected to cause injury or death to persons or damage or destruction to objects.”
An online attack on an electricity grid resulting in fire is one example of the way that cyberwar could bring about real physical harm.
The advisory handbook, written by 20 legal experts including a retired UK air commodore and several British lawyers, says Governments must avoid attacks on civilians, hospitals, nuclear power stations, dams and dykes.
Attacks on the latter three are particularly sensitive as they threaten to cause widespread loss of life, and should be avoided “even when they are military objectives”.
Hospitals and medical units are already protected under the rules governing traditional warfare.
The guidelines also forbid using cyber “booby traps” and attacks to spread terror through the people.
The handbook, drawn up at the invitation of Nato’s Co-operative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) in Tallinn, Estonia, includes a provision for states to respond with conventional force if a cyber attack results in death or significant damage to property.
Full-scale wars could be triggered through online attacks, as the report comments “cyber operations alone might have the potential to cross the threshold of international armed conflict”
“Hacktivists” who take part in online attacks can become legitimate targets in cyberwar, the new guidelines say, even though they are technically civilians.
The CCDCOE was established in 2008 following a wave of cyber-attacks on Estonia from inside Russia.

The denial-of-service attacks crashed websites and damaged the country’s infrastructure, raising awareness about the damage that online operations can inflict in a world increasingly dependant on modern technology.
Britain will be joining the centre later this year.
The Tallinn manual, which contains 95 “black letter rules”, was formally launched at Chatham House last week, according to the Guardian.
Colonel Kirby Abbott, an assistant legal adviser at Nato, described it as “the most important document in the law of cyber-warfare.”
Professor Michael Schmitt, director of the project, pointed out that there is currently little agreement about how international law applies to online attacks.
The Stuxnet virus attack on Iran’s nuclear programme, which physically damaged sensitive centrifuges, divided those setting out the rules.
The attack is believed to have been carried out by the US or Israel, but the handbook states: “To date, no international armed conflict has been publicly characterised as having been solely precipitated in cyberspace.”
The manual authorises country’s to take “proportionate counter-measures” to an online attack, but these can only involve real force where it has resulted in death or serious damage.
Professor Schmitt said that the manual shows that cyberspace in not the “wild west”, as a large amount of international law already applies.
The handbook is not official Nato document or policy but an advisory manual, which is published by Cambridge University Press.

Russia Moves To Label US As Plutocracy, Warns Of War
A stunning report prepared for President Putin by Deputy Foreign Minister Gennadiy Gatilov circulating in the Kremlin today states that “for all practical purposes” the United States has become a “plutocracy” and should no longer be registered, or referred to, by the Russian government as an “open and free democracy.”
Even worse, Minister Gatilov further recommends in his report that the plans put forth by General Colonel Leonid Ivashov, who warned this past week that “America must be kept at gunpoint,” should be “immediately implemented” as war with the United States should be expected to occur no later than 2014.
General Colonel Ivashov (Ret.), who is currently a professor at the prestigious International Academy of Geopolitical Problems (IAGP), warned that the planetary forecast is catastrophic and that Russian tactical nuclear weapons constantly threatening the United States must become the factor that will deter large-scale aggression from this rogue regime.
Important to note is that in 2010, Konstantin Sivkov, former Vice President of the IAGP, had warned that “World War III will start 100 years after WWI (2014) and will take lives of hundreds of millions people worldwide”.
In his gloomy assessment, Sivkov forecasts that World War III will be of “coalitional nature”. Countries will form coalitions based on their loyalty to one of the two “models of world order”. The first model is “the world of civilized hierarchies” where a select few “brutally exploit the rest of humanity”. The second model defined by Sivkov is “civilized mutual support or civilized harmony”.
Leading the “coalition of exploitation” into World War III, Minister Gatilov says in his report, will be the plutocracy-led United States whose subjugation of its own citizens has no known modern counterpart with the speed and ruthlessness it has radically changed its once globally admired democracy and enslaved its once free peoples.
The evidence for labeling the United States as a plutocracy (rule by the wealthy) laid out in Minister Gatilov’s report note that the insane levels of inequality currently existing in America have been made more worse under Obama than under Bush.
He further notes that the Obama regime is prosecuting fewer financial crimes than Bush, or his father or Ronald Reagan and that the richest Americans captured more than 100% of all recent income gains leaving nothing for any of the other classes.
The recently revised (February, 2013) report “Who Rules America?” written by University of Southern California professor G. William Domhoff further confirms Minister Gatilov’s conclusions and states:
With those richest Americans capturing all the wealth, this report continues, personal income for the rest of those citizens plunged 3.6 percent in January, which the US Bureau of Economic Analysis reported was the biggest such drop in 20 years.
Against this catastrophic destruction of wealth to the American lower and middle classes, Minister Gatilov says, US Federal Government revenue for 2013 will hit a record $2.7 trillion of which over $155 billion has already been paid out to the richest Americans in the form of interest payments, and over $5 trillion is slated to be paid out to these plutocrats in the next 10 years.
Most curious to note about the US economy, Minister Gatilov says, is that even though it ended 2012 with a Gross National Product (GDP) ratio to debt of 103.8%, that amount comes no where close to the years following World War II when America rebuilt nearly the entire global economy single-handedly incurring the highest GDP-to-debt ratios in its entire history including, 1945 at 116.65%, 1946 at 121.96%, and 1947 at 105.35%.
By contrast, Minister Gatilov points out in his report, the United States, during the height of World War II, didn’t even approach 100% of its GDP-to-debt ratio (1942 at 48.92%, 1943 at 71.83% and 1944 at 92.84) and that the United Kingdom, in 1820, and as it built the British Empire to such a global extent the sun never sat upon it, incurred a staggering 250% GDP-to-debt ratio.
These historic US and UK GDP-to-debt ratios, and as compared to the present ones, Minister Gatilov says, are critical to note as evidence of an entrenched plutocracy, where in the past these monies were used for the advancement of a nation, but in today’s world are only being used to enrich the elite classes.
With the United States being home to just 4.52% of the Earth’s population, Minister Gatilov says, it is, also, home to the world’s largest number of billionaires with its having 442 of them, which is another extreme example of how plutocratic America has become.
And in a shocking statement, Minister Gatilov points out that these American billionaires are dumping their stocks at never before seen levels over fears of a US stock market crash many experts believe will amount to over 90% of its value.
With Western bankers recently admitting at a UK conference that they “engineered the 2008 global financial crisis”, Minister Gatilov further warns in this report that the ratio of US insider selling to buying of stocks is now 50-to-1 – a monthly record – shows that a new economic collapse is “clearly” being planned by these plutocrats as a further means to consolidate their power over the American people, and, according to a recently released US Department of Justice memo, includes the outright confiscation of all the American peoples guns.
With other new warnings coming from US warning that the Obama regime is planning for “Soviet style purges of the American people”, and the US Supreme Court this past week putting the Obama regimes expanded terror surveillance program beyond legal challenge, and the Obama regime imprisoning a number of activists in Seattle for refusing to answer questions about the political activities of people they know, Minister Gatilov ironically notes in his reports summation that the present day United States is “more plutocratic than even the Soviets even tried to be.”
With many prominent American journalists now openly questioning if the Obama regime is able to kill them on American soil with drone strikes, and their “mainstream” media accused of acting not as conduits of information for the American people, but rather adjuncts of the state, censoring and vetting information in order to shape public opinion, it stands to reason that the masses of these people remain totally ignorant as the cruel fate that awaits them….but one which they will see evidenced much sooner than later.

Cops: U.S. law should require logs of your text messages
Silicon Valley firms and privacy groups want Congress to update a 1986-era electronic privacy law. But if a law enforcement idea set to be presented today gets attached, support for the popular proposal would erode.
AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and other wireless providers would be required to capture and store Americans’ confidential text messages, according to a proposal that will be presented to a congressional panel today.
The law enforcement proposal would require wireless providers to record and store customers’ SMS messages — a controversial idea akin to requiring them to surreptitiously record audio of their customers’ phone calls — in case police decide to obtain them at some point in the future.
“Billions of texts are sent every day, and some surely contain key evidence about criminal activity,” Richard Littlehale from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will tell Congress, according to a copy (PDF) of his prepared remarks. “In some cases, this means that critical evidence is lost. Text messaging often plays a big role in investigations related to domestic violence, stalking, menacing, drug trafficking, and weapons trafficking.”
Littlehale’s recommendations echo a recommendation that a constellation of law enforcement groups, including the Major Cities Chiefs Police Association, the National District Attorneys’ Association, and the National Sheriffs’ Association, made to Congress in December, which was first reported by CNET.
They had asked that an SMS retention requirement be glued onto any new law designed to update the 1986 Electronic Communications Privacy Act for the cloud computing era — a move that would complicate debate over such a measure and erode support for it among civil libertarians and the technology firms lobbying for a rewrite.
Today’s hearing before a House Judiciary subcommittee chaired by Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc.) is designed to evaluate how ECPA should be upgraded. CNET reported yesterday that the Justice Department is proposing that any ECPA changes expand government surveillance powers over e-mail messages, Twitter direct messages, and Facebook direct messages in some ways, while limiting it in others. A Google representative is also testifying.
While the SMS retention proposal could open a new front in Capitol Hill politicking over electronic surveillance, the concept of mandatory data retention is hardly new. The Justice Department under President Obama has publicly called for new laws requiring Internet service providers to record data about their customers, and a House panel approved such a requirement in 2011.
Wireless providers’ current SMS retention policies vary. An internal Justice Department document (PDF) that the ACLU obtained through the Freedom of Information Act shows that, as of 2010, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint did not store the contents of text messages. Verizon did for up to five days, a change from its earlier no-logs-at-all position, and Virgin Mobile kept them for 90 days. The carriers generally kept metadata such as the phone numbers associated with the text for 90 days to 18 months; AT&T was an outlier, keeping it for as long as seven years.
An e-mail message from a detective in the Baltimore County Police Department, leaked by Antisec and reproduced in a 2011 Wired article, says that Verizon keeps “text message content on their servers for 3-5 days.” And: “Sprint stores their text message content going back 12 days and Nextel content for 7 days. AT&T/Cingular do not preserve content at all. Us Cellular: 3-5 days Boost Mobile LLC: 7 days”
During a criminal prosecution of a man for suspected murder of a 6-year-old boy, police in Cranston, R.I., tried to obtain copies of a customer’s text messages from T-Mobile and Verizon. Superior Court Judge Judith Savage said at the time that, although she was “not unfamiliar with cell phones and text messaging,” she “was stunned” to learn that providers had such different policies.
Littlehale also proposed that any attempt to update ECPA include revised “emergency” language that would allow police to demand records from providers without search warrants in some cases.
Chris Calabrese, legislative counsel for the ACLU, says he’s skeptical about expanding emergency access. “Emergency can’t be a magic word,” he says. “Emergencies have to be documented subsequently to a judge the same way we would with a wiretap.”

U.S. government to fight for warrantless GPS tracking
The Obama Administration heads to court to argue its case, saying authorities shouldn’t be required to obtain warrants to attach GPS devices to cars.
The Obama Administration is headed to court today to argue that warrantless GPS tracking is just fine.
The administration will present its arguments before a federal appeals court today, despite the U.S. Supreme Court last year ruling that a warrant was needed to attach a GPS device to a suspected criminal’s vehicle. According to Wired, which first reported on the story, the government believes that the high court’s ruling does not account for all scenarios, and wants to see where its ruling should and shouldn’t be held up.
The Supreme Court’s ruling last year was not exhaustive, the government argues. And in many cases, exemptions exist in which a judge would not need to sign a warrant to monitor someone, including issues at the border and with people on probation and students, according to Wired.
The Supreme Court ruled in a unanimous decision last year that the Fourth Amendment protection of “persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures” would be violated if law enforcement agencies were allowed to attach a GPS device to a suspect’s vehicle without obtaining a warrant. The decision involved a case in which District of Columbia police placed a GPS tracking device on the car of suspected cocaine dealer Antoine Jones. Following a conviction, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in 2010 threw it out, saying a warrant was required to track Jones and fellow defendant Lawrence Maynard.
For the government, warrantless GPS tracking could prove to be an important law-enforcement tool, its attorneys have argued. In papers filed with the court, the government has said that because of the high court’s ruling, “law enforcement officers could not use GPS devices to gather information to establish probable cause, which is often the most productive use of such devices.”

So You Don’t Believe in Chemtrails?
That’s fine. Neither do most people….who don’t have to live under them. But chemtrails are not just something you believe in, like some believe that there will be 75 nubile virgins waiting for them in Heaven if they just kill a few infidels. There’s no documentary evidence for that. But there is documentary evidence for the existence of chemtrails which is overwhelming and inescapably conclusive, and so here’s just a taster for some of it.
The chemtrail programme that we see today began in earnest in the 90s. However the technology has existed for a lot longer and there are other incidences of its use before the 90s. One notable example was in Britain from the late 50s through to the 70s, when large parts of the country were sprayed with chemicals for germ warfare experiments. This information was locked away in Government archives and has only recently been released to the public as 50 years have now passed. Many people have had children with birth defects because of this government sponsored aerosol spraying campaign. You can read the Guardian newspaper report on this incident at this link.
The US government also deployed similar technology during the Vietnam War. They used cloud seeding technology to prolong the monsoon season to disrupt the Vietnamese supply lines. It was called Operation Popeye and was considered successful. More recently the Chinese government publicly used cloud busting technology during the Olympics to ensure that the skies remained clear. I cite these examples as evidence of weather manipulation technology that has been in use for many years. Although the chemtrail programme is slightly different, it is based upon the same technology that we know has been deployed historically.
In the 1990s, people began to notice that the contrails normally emitted by aircraft were lingering in the sky, forming cloud cover and blocking out the sun. Some of these people could see that they were being sprayed with some substance, so in order to understand what it was, they had their rainwater and soil independently tested. The tests consistently found exceedingly high levels of aluminium, barium and strontium in areas affected by spraying. These tests have now been carried out in many countries around the world with the same results. Some of the countries in which tests have been done include the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Britain, France, Germany, Spain, France and many others. You can view some of these test results at the following link.
From these tests people have become aware that they are being sprayed – but this gives rise to more questions than it answers. How are they doing this? And who is doing it?
To try and answer the how, we can look at the list of patents that are related to this sort of technology, and from doing so can conclude that this is entirely possible. You can view an exhaustive list of easily verifiable patents here. These patents describe various ways of carrying out spraying. From mixing it in the jet fuel, through to dedicated spray nozzles with specially designed feeder tanks. From the patent record, we can also see that this technology has been around since before World War 2. It is also evident that some very sophisticated technologies have been developed over the years. So much so, that now it is possible to adapt nearly all types of jet aircraft to this type of use.
People investigating have been monitoring aircraft to try and identify those that are carrying out the spraying. By using flight radar and other computer applications that identify commercial aircraft, investigators are able to determine if the aircraft passing overhead is civilian or not. With these types of applications, you are able to see the flight number, airline operator and other flight details. This has enabled investigators to identify many airlines that are involved in the spraying. Sadly there are a lot of them. Also by using modern cameras with high powered lenses, many excellent videos and photos exist and have been used to help identify those aircraft that are spraying. Military tanker planes are often observed spraying in NATO affiliated countries.

From these photos and videos I think you’d have to agree that these are not regular contrails but are in actual fact chemtrails. In scientific circles the whole process is called geo-engineering.
Just as a reminder, a normal contrail is caused by water vapour freezing in certain atmospheric conditions. These normally dissipate after a few seconds, but some may linger for up to a minute or two in the right temperatures. Here is a photo of a normal contrail with two huge chemtrails to compare it to.
Many whistle-blowers have come forward to speak of their involvement in these programs.

Climate scientists have proposed using this exact method of dumping millions of tonnes in the atmosphere to “fight global warming.” See climate scientist David Keith advocate its use on the 20th Feb 2010 at the American Association for the Advancement of Science meeting in San Diego at this link. Despite claiming that it is untested and that its impact upon human health is unknown, David Keith still is in favour of these programmes. Although in reality these programmes have already been ongoing for over 10 years before this conference took place.
I haven’t explained to you why they are doing this and who is doing it, my aim was solely to convince you that this is a real programme for which there are plenty of facts and hard evidence to support its existence. It is my hope that I have inspired you enough to continue your own research into this assault upon the Earth and humanity.
The only way to stop this, at present, is to tell other people and build awareness. I have included a number of links for you to begin to look at, at the bottom of this article. As you will no doubt agree, spraying aluminium into the atmosphere on an industrial scale is bad and must be stopped. Let’s stand together and stop this mass poisoning of our planet. Cyprus Is An Alarm Clock For The EU & America
The tiny island of Cyprus is demonstrating that government money is nothing more than the people’s money and to make the point, we are now watching as the European Union is set to seize private citizen’s bank accounts to pay off debt that is a result of bad monetary policy and unchecked spending.
Yahoo Finance reports,
The surprise decision by euro zone leaders to part-fund a bailout of Cyprus by taxing bank deposits sent shockwaves through financial markets on Monday, with shares and the bonds of struggling euro zone governments tumbling.
The bloc struck a deal on Saturday to hand Cyprus rescue loans worth 10 billion euros ($13 billion), but defied warnings – including from the European Central Bank – and imposed a levy that would see those with cash in the island’s banks lose between 6.75 and 9.9 percent of their money.
Parliament in Cyprus put off a vote on the measure – which has shaken depositors’ confidence in banks across the continent – until Tuesday, however, and with public anger at the deal widespread the government said it was already looking to ease the pain for small savers.
Without the rescue, Cyprus would have be unable to avoid a default. That would have undermined the promise that Greece’s debt writedown last year was a one-off, but the unprecedented move to hit depositors adds a radical new dimension to the crisis across the euro zone.
Peter Dixon, global financial economist at Commerzbank said, “If I were a saver, certainly in Spain or maybe Italy, I think I’d be looking askance at these measures and think this could yet happen to me.”

Then the Washington Times came out and told us exactly what is about to happen. Remember, liberals float the idea of what they are going to do, “poo poo” it when people begin to question, and then do it.

The $19.4 trillion sitting in personal retirement accounts like the 401K may be too tempting an apple for a government that is quite broke, both monetarily and morally. The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau director Richard Cordray recently mentioned these accounts in a recent interview, stating “That’s one of the things we’ve been exploring and are interested in, in terms of whether and what authority we have.”
This agency, created by the 2010 Dodd-Frank-Act, is very concerned about how safe your retirement savings are. They are apparently concerned that retiring baby boomers may become victims of financial scams.
If the government takes control of retirement accounts, it will not be called “nationalization.” There will most likely be an indecipherable document that provides an opt-out option (initially), but why would you want to do that? The US government only wants to ensure the safety of your retirement funds; they did after all create a new bureaucracy for that specific purpose. And what could be a safer investment than US bonds?
Dr. Gary North writes, “Gold rose on the news from Europe. Stock markets plunged around the world. So did the price of oil. Over the weekend, Eurozone bureaucrats at a closed meeting came up with a plan. The committee demanded that the government of Cyprus impose a tax of 6.7% on all bank accounts under $130,000, and close to 10% on all accounts over $130,000. If the government refuses, the Eurozone will not provide a $13 billion bailout for the banks of Cyprus.”
North went on to point out the obvious problem. “The story is all over the European press, for good reason. The Eurocrats had always said that bank accounts would be sacrosanct. This announcement says, ‘We lied.’ But they also assured depositors that this will never happen again. ‘Trust us.’”
“The president of Cyprus on Sunday begged the parliament to impose the tax,” he writes. “He admitted that he had promised depositors that he would never, ever tax their accounts. He had said this at his inauguration speech: ‘absolutely no reference to a haircut on public debt or deposits will be tolerated.”‘ To make himself perfectly clear, he added: ‘such an issue isn’t even up for discussion.’”
He then translated it for his readers into three words: “You dumb clucks.”
This is why we must get a handle on monetary policy and spending as was mentioned yesterday. In the end the Eurozone leaders are doing the exact same thing America’s leaders are doing. They pretend to be calm and act like the system isn’t coming apart at the seams. Then when they make a major announcement like they have made, it indicates that the entire house of cards is about to come down around our ears.

An Orwellian America
As a young man, I voraciously read George Orwell’s “1984”, Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World” and Alvin Toffler’s trilogy which included “Future Shock”‘, “The Third Wave” and “Power Shift”. During the era of the Vietnam War, I wondered seriously about the future and how it was destined to unfold. Now being considerably older, I have the vantage point to reflect back on my early ruminations and expectations. Unfortunately, I am too old to alter the lessons that are now so painfully obvious. Instead, I pass the gauntlet to those who can understand and take action on what I have unavoidably come to expect for America.
A FRAMEWORK OF UNDERSTANDING
THE ‘HUXLEY-ORWELL’ TRANSITION
I recently read a perceptive paper by Chris Hedges that would have made any English Professor envious, powerfully philosophical but not something an Economics department would pay much attention to. I found it both intriguing and enlightening.
I have borrowed so heavily from it, that I am unsure where the lines diverge. Therefore, below I give full credit to Chris Hedges and take full credit for all the bad ideas.
Chris Hedges of TruthDig.com wrote 2011: A Brave New Dystopia, from which the following evolved.
The two greatest visions of a future dystopia were George Orwell’s “1984” and Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World.” The debate, between those who watched our descent towards corporate totalitarianism, was who was right. Would we be, as Orwell wrote, dominated by a repressive surveillance and security state that used crude and violent forms of control? Or would we be, as Huxley envisioned, entranced by entertainment and spectacle, captivated by technology and seduced by profligate consumption to embrace our own oppression? It turns out Orwell and Huxley were both right. Huxley saw the first stage of our enslavement. Orwell saw the second.
We have been gradually disempowered by a corporate state that, as Huxley foresaw, seduced and manipulated us through:
• Sensual gratification,
• Cheap mass-produced goods,
• Boundless credit,
• Political theater and
• Amusement.
While we were entertained,
• The regulations that once kept predatory corporate power in check were dismantled,
• The laws that once protected us were rewritten and
• We were impoverished.
Now that:
• Credit is drying up,
• Good jobs for the working class are gone forever and
• Mass-produced goods are unaffordable,
…. we find ourselves transported from “Brave New World” to “1984.”
The state, crippled by massive deficits, endless war and corporate malfeasance, is clearly sliding toward unavoidable bankruptcy.
It is time for Big Brother to take over from Huxley’s feelies, the orgy-porgy and the centrifugal bumble-puppy.
We are transitioning from a society where we are skillfully manipulated by lies and illusions to one where we are overtly controlled.
Huxley, we are discovering, was merely the prelude to Orwell.
Now that the corporate coup is over, we stand naked and defenseless. We are beginning to understand, as Karl Marx knew:
Unfettered and unregulated capitalism is a brutal and revolutionary force that exploits human beings and the natural world until exhaustion or collapse.

With this as a backdrop let’s explore how Unsound Money in concert with the Huxley-Orwell Transition leads to Statism, the path which I believe we are presently on.

Let’s shift gears and consider what “greases the skids” in enabling this transition in our society to occur.
COLLECTIVISM
In The Road to Serfdom, F.A. Hayek showed how governments, supported by a collectivist mindset, always tend towards totalitarianism. Even the most libertarian government thus far created, the government of the United States, has slipped incrementally towards totalitarianism over the past two centuries. This is because it is an inherent trait of a government.
The degree of socialism in the United States increased substantially after the establishment of the Federal Reserve System (1913) and the measures taken during the Great Depression (1929-46) which it created. Ever since the early 1900′s the United States has had a two-party system dominated by ‘socialists’. The Republican Party has always advocated conservative socialism. The Democratic Party, which in the 19th century favored libertarianism, advocates social-democratic socialism. So long as people are divided by Left and Right, Democratic and Republican, the US is prone to being influenced by factions who transcend party politics and from behind the scenes could possible exert strong control over the United States. They could do this by maintaining power over public opinion and hence over the course of government. Steadily, the United States has been travelling down the road to totalitarianism, and many people have not noticed, possibly because they are only looking at the position on the Left-Right paradigm.
Upon further analysis, it is clear that Left, Right and Centre, are all forms of socialism. In particular, we may call them “social-democratic socialism” (the Left) and “conservative socialism” (the Right). They are both socialism because they both share the principle that the government should “run” and “mold” society, by using legal force and intervention to transfer property and personal wealth as part of the political scientists’ process of ‘redistribution of wealth’.
The differences are only in the particular ways the government should run society – the methods it should use, and who, exactly, should be the recipients of government wealth transfers and who should pay. In particular:
• Social democrats tend to prefer heavy taxation, large wealth transfers to the poor, and nationalized industries, and oppose price controls, regulations and behavioral controls.
• Conservatives tend to prefer lower taxation, a smaller welfare state, regulated (cartelized) industries, price controls, product and behavioral controls.
Nolan Charts: Personal Freedom versus Economic Freedom
The modern Republican Party is Center-Right on the Left-Right paradigm. As with the Democratic Party, this obscures the huge range of views Republicans hold on how powerful and how much control the State should be allowed. Their 2008 presidential nominee John McCain, like Barack Obama, strongly favored socialism, though with a Right-wing flavor. Barack Obama (blue circle) and John McCain (red circle) are positioned in the accompanying graphic. Thus, the two main candidates at the 2008 Presidential election represented a false choice – really no choice at all. One candidate, Ron Paul (yellow circle), stood in stark contrast to the candidates, favored by the mainstream media and political establishment. As would be expected, he was neutralized by the mainstream media outlets as a zealot with an unsound political view of America.
THE POLITICAL CONTINUUM
THE EMERGING ROADMAP TO STATISM
Let me now develop and explore the roadmap that outlines the path leading from Policy Failures and Monetary Malpractice, stemming from Unsound Money, to STATISM.
First we will build the outline for the basis of a roadmap on a number of observable continuums.
The more complex that issues become, the more collectivism will dominate and individual needs will be repressed. In turn governments will be forced to be more repressive to maintain control over increasing polarization and diverse views and opinions.
EVOLVING STAGES
When we arrange our various continuums we arrive at the representative grid model shown below.
We will quickly acknowledge it is not ideal, but it allows many concepts currently at play to be shown in relationship to others.
This grid is best described as the social forces at play within Globalization – Financial, Economic and Political.
DRIVER$ – VISIBLE & INVISIBLE
There are both visible and less visible forces at play that are forcing ‘greasing’ the skids in the movement towards Statism.

ORWELL’S 1984 IS HAPPENING
We are one crisis away from a police state. All the powers are in place. Someone will flip the switch. Whether a Cyber Attack, escalating Currency War tensions or a ‘terrorist’ attack by indebted college youth, it is only a matter of time and circumstance.

Tennessee Bill Would Abolish Civil Forfeiture
A new bill would eliminate civil forfeiture in Tennessee. Unlike criminal forfeiture, under civil forfeiture police do not need to convict or even charge a property owner before seizing his property. Civil forfeiture turns “innocent until proven guilty” on its head by forcing owners to prove their innocence to recover the seized property.
In good news for property owners across the Volunteer State, State Rep. Barrett Rich, a former Tennessee state trooper, has introduced HB 1078. If the bill passes, seizing property would require a warrant. In addition, forfeiture and title transfer of property would take place only under due process of law and if “the owner of the property in question is prosecuted and convicted.” The bill has one other cosponsor, Rep. Joey Hensley, and is currently in committee.
Speaking to a local news station, Rich outlined how civil forfeiture treats innocent owners worse than actual criminals:
“If we arrest a criminal, they are given an opportunity to have a preliminary hearing. I think that when the government does a taking of property, [property owners] should be given that opportunity immediately to be given at least hearing in front of an elected judge, a real judge.”
Tennessee’s rampant abuse of civil forfeiture earned the state a D from the Institute for Justice. Local agencies get to keep 100 percent of all property forfeited—a tempting incentive for cops to go crooked. As Tennessee’s News Channel 5 has detailed, there have been far too many cases of policing for profit.
Last year, George Reby, a professional insurance adjuster, had $22,000 in cash seized because a Tennessee officer merely suspected Reby was a drug courier. Reby was never arrested or formally charged with any crime. Even the officer admitted Reby “hadn’t committed a criminal law,” but since “he couldn’t prove [the cash] was legitimate,” Reby’s money was confiscated. Fortunately, after four months, Reby was able to retrieve his cash, but only after signing a waiver not to sue the state.
So far, only Washington, D.C. is considering meaningful civil forfeiture reform. Back in January, IJ won a major federal lawsuit on behalf of the Caswell family, who were facing the loss of their motel even though they were not suspected of any wrongdoing. Let’s hope Tennessee can blaze a trail for ending civil forfeiture and respecting property rights.

The Real Reasons Why The Liberty Movement Is Preparing To Fight
Years ago while writing for Neithercorp Press I penned an article entitled “One Day Soon, We’ll All Be Homegrown Terrorists”. In that piece I described a not so far off future in which martial law, economic collapse, and the destruction of civil liberties stood imminent. I related my views on the propaganda rhetoric of the SPLC, and how they were using false association to tie liberty groups to any deviant organization they could think of, including racists and domestic terrorists, in order to condition the American public to react to our message with immediate contempt.
It became clear to me then that the SPLC, which had become the propaganda wing of the widely reviled Department Of Homeland Security, was helping set the stage for a paradigm shift in the U.S. This shift would obviously include economic and social disruption, as well as political turmoil beyond anything our nation has seen for over 150 years. But most importantly, it would pave the way for certain elements of the American populace, namely those who are awake, aware, and outspoken, to be labeled “enemy combatants” dangerous to the state.
Though posing as an anti-racist monitoring institution, the SPLC’s primary concern has never been the KKK or “White Identity”. Rather, the SPLC’s job has been and always will be to marginalize and defame those who stand against centralized federal power, regardless of how corrupt that power has become. They are not anti-racists, or liberals, or concerned citizens; they are STATISTS, who only care about maintaining the superiority of a government that has been bought and paid for many times over by a gaggle of international financiers with delusions of godhood.
The SPLC, of course, has so far utterly failed in their efforts to stop the rise of Constitutional activists. By their own admission, “patriot groups” have expanded exponentially since 2008, and continue to develop freely even in the face of wildly absurd character attacks taken from the amoral (immoral) guidebook of Saul Alinsky himself. The truth, once realized, is difficult if not impossible to stop.
Unfortunately, the establishment understands this as well…
Given a few more years, the Liberty Movement will indeed prevail in the struggle for the “infowar”. Naysayers who claimed we were merely an ineffective and irrelevant peripheral of society are now faced with a strong and growing minority which has the power to swing state and local elections, as we did in 2012, simply by refusing to vote for oath breaking Republicans, sending the message that if the Republican party ever wants to win again, they had better run honest Constitutionalists. Those who claimed our message was “insane conspiracy theory” must now explain the indefinite detention and rendition provisions of the NDAA, the government approved unleashing of 30,000 surveillance drones in American skies, the Obama Administration’s assassination list which includes U.S. citizens, and the push for gun registration and confiscation which is already beginning to take place in some states.
How did we know what was coming? Was it intuition or lucky conjecture? Neither. All we had to do was look at the trends of the day and use logic to discern the most likely outcome.
Our concerns, which were once called “fringe”, are now going mainstream. We were right, they were wrong. Though, I wish we had been wrong…
Just as the public is on a shrinking timeline, so are the elites. For every burst forward in our efforts to wake up the population to the loss of their freedoms and heritage, they must speed up their plans to gain economic and political supremacy. The harder you pull on the ends of a frayed rope in opposite directions, the sooner it is going to snap.
Today, as never before, I believe our culture has reached the breaking point, which is why the SPLC has pushed their attacks on the Liberty Movement into overdrive with manipulative media hit pieces like this:

The SPLC plays the role of the frantic watchman, crying out at the approach of the Mongol hordes, but their childish and ill conceived methods continue to expose their true intentions. Is the Liberty Movement preparing for war? No, but we are preparing to defend ourselves. Here are the SPLC assertions of why we are ready to fight, followed by the real reasons behind our preparations…
1) Because Obama Is Half Black?
No. Obama could be neon green and we couldn’t care less. The SPLC attempts to equate the growth of “patriot groups” with the election of the first black president, while leaving out much more likely catalysts including our current economic spiral (which they often refer to as “conspiracy theory”), or the Obama Administration’s expansion and even application of numerous unconstitutional provisions, some of which were launched by the Bush Administration.
How does the SPLC explain the majority of the Liberty Movement’s staunch opposition to the Romney Campaign if all we cared about was race? How do they reconcile the fact that we are just as critical of the Republican elite as we are of the Democrats? What about the reality that many of our organizations (like Oath Keepers) are made up of numerous races and nationalities?
They never do. They simply ignore this information as if it is not pertinent to the issue. The truth is, Obama is a middle man, a mascot, an easily replaced muppet. He is not our primary interest, and his color is meaningless. The international banks that funded his campaign and whose members occupy numerous positions within the White House, though, ARE our primary concern.
2) Because We Are Afraid Of An Economic Collapse That Will Never Come?
The SPLC refers to almost everything as “conspiracy theory” because they hope that the average American is too stupid to question their rhetoric. Calling someone a “conspiracy theorist” is the modern equivalent of accusing a person of being mentally ill; the goal is to inoculate the public against anything they have to say before they say it, even if it is the unbridled truth.
The SPLC has consistently shrugged off economic concerns as “paranoia”, but they never qualify their statements. Years ago I openly challenged Mark Potok and the whole of the SPLC to a debate on the health of the U.S. economy, and I reassert that challenge today. If they think our concerns are unfounded and a source of paranoia, then they should be willing to defend their position. I believe our financial system is on the fast track to collapse for quite a few reasons, including the fact that:
Our official national debt stands at $16.6 trillion. In 2008, the national debt was around $10 Trillion, meaning, we’ve added over $6 trillion in only 5 years. (Gee, is it possible that this has pissed Americans off more than Obama’s ethnicity?)
Real national debt including entitlement programs and future obligations is estimated between $60 Trillion and $120 Trillion.
Our official debt to GDP ratio (the amount of capital our country generates versus what it owes) stands at 102%. Historically, when a country crosses the 100% mark in its debt to GDP, there is a marked chance of economic crisis. If you count all of the programs and entitlements that the Federal Government doesn’t include in its “official” arithmetic, our debt to GDP ratio is actually closer to 400%. This means an economic crisis is ASSURED.
The Labor Department, using what they call “adjusted numbers” places unemployment at 7.9%. Real unemployment including U6 measurements (those people who are underemployed, and those people who have been unemployed for so long they no longer receive benefits and are no longer counted by the government) stands at over 20%.
In 2009, 32 million Americans were enrolled in food stamps. Today, that number has grown to 48 million. That’s a 50% increase in only 4 years.
The number of people on standard disability has hit a record of 9 million, and has grown every month for the past 192 months.
For the past four years I have pointed out that China, our largest foreign creditor, only needs to do two things before dumping the dollar as the world reserve currency – find a consumer market source to replace the U.S., and, spread it’s own currency around the globe to create a viable alternative to the greenback.
Today, China has announced a full blown transition into a consumer based economy and has established bilateral trade agreements with enough developing nations to easily replace the U.S. as an export market.
This past month, China announced a massive “urbanization project” in which they will sell over $6 trillion in Yuan denominated bonds worldwide. China has also surpassed the U.S. for the first time ever as the world’s largest trade market, meaning, the Yuan will now be more sought after than the Dollar as a global trade mechanism. The Chinese are nearly ready to dump the dollar, causing an international chain reaction that will brutally devalue our currency.
I think our economic worries are clearly reasonable…
3) Because We Are Paranoid Over Unfounded Threats Of Martial Law?
In the calm before any great war, there is always an escalation of arms on both sides of the conflict. Anyone who has carefully studied the history of modern warfare KNOWS an escalation when they see one. At the same time, anyone who has studied the history of citizen disarmament knows that government restriction and confiscation of personal firearms almost always leads to genocide. Over the past decade, we have seen blatant indications that domestic agencies of the Federal Government are in the midst of arms stockpiling, and, in the past two months, they are pushing harder than ever before to reduce the defensive capabilities of the American public.
The Department Of Homeland Security has in only a few years placed orders for ammunition totaling at least 1.6 billion rounds, and new orders indicate they may be accumulating over 2 billion rounds. The DHS has initiated a disinformation campaign through the mainstream media claiming that this ammunition stockpile, which is to be delivered over the course of five years, is for “training purposes only”. Here is the reality…
First, by the department’s own numbers, training and qualification exercises taking place in three facilities nationwide use a total of 15 – 20 million rounds of ammo yearly. This means that if the DHS claims are true, they have ordered enough ammo to last a minimum of 75 years! No government agency plans this far ahead.
Second, the DHS and most federal and state law enforcement agencies DO NOT use hollow point pistol ammo and expensive Sierra Match King hollow point sniper rounds for “training”. Anyone who knows anything about combat simulation training knows that you use the cheapest plinking ammo you can find, and this includes the government. The ammo purchased by the DHS is used for one thing only; killing people.
Third, if this ammo is being used only for non-threatening purposes, then why is the DHS now redacting order requests in a ploy to hide what they are purchasing?
On top of this, why does the DHS need mine resistant armored vehicles?
Or bullet resistant road booths?
Why is the DHS using training targets featuring children and pregnant women? Why has the Federal Government put plans into motion to release 30,000 drones above our heads? Why have they instituted the passage of the indefinite detention provisions of the NDAA which can be used to revoke the civil rights of anyone deemed an “enemy combatant” by the executive branch, including American citizens? Why has Obama bypassed the Treason Clause of the U.S. Constitution in order to greenlight assassinations of American citizens? Why has Attorney General Eric Holder stated that predator drones have not been ruled out as a weapon against American citizens on American soil? Why has a branch of the military, Northcom, been deployed domestically in the U.S.? Who are they here to fight?
The government is telling us, right to our faces, that they plan to use extraneous force against us, and where else would this force be initiated on such a scale except during martial law? The extensive militarization of any domestic government agency requires as a response the extensive armament of the citizenry, otherwise, there is no deterrent to tyranny.
4) Because We Refuse To Accept That The World Is Changing Without Us?
This argument is based on a series of lies, the first one being that American culture needs to “progress with the times” and shake off the dead skin of old and “unpopular” principles. Let’s set the record straight…
Some principles, like the liberties embodied in natural law and outlined in the U.S. Constitution, NEVER become outdated. They exist in the heart of mankind, and will remain as long as humanity remains. They cannot be erased, and they cannot be undone. They are inherent and eternal.
They can, however, be oppressed by those who seek to dominate the lives of others. This is what the establishment today calls “progress”. Their version of social order is not new, nor is it even clever. It is archaic, and has taken many forms, including oligarchy, aristocracy, mercantilism, monarchy, totalitarianism, despotism, fascism, socialism, communism, globalism, etc., etc. The goal is always the same; centralize as much power as possible into as few hands as possible while making the enslaved population as collectivized and dependent as possible.
The Liberty Movement is not some dying vestige of America’s past clinging to an antiquated philosophy. We are the new wave; the messengers of an ideal of freedom that in the grand scheme of history has been around for only a blink of an eye. Constitutional liberty IS the progress that humanity has been waiting for. We have only been led astray by those who would sell us on our own bondage.
The SPLC and others within the establishment accuse the Liberty Movement of arming for conflict against the government. I am here to tell them that is EXACTLY what we are doing. We are arming because the establishment is arming against us. Yes, we are a threat, but only to political and corporate criminals who use subversion and violence to wrest freedom from the hands of good people. I am not afraid to openly admit it. I and many others will fight against any measure or man that seeks to undermine the rights of the people or destroy the founding principles of this nation.
We will not allow engineered economic collapse to go unpunished. We will not allow internationalists to subdue American sovereignty. We will not allow national gun registration or confiscation. We will not allow martial law to be instituted. We will not allow American citizens to be imprisoned or assassinated without trial. We will not allow any presidential administration, black or white, Republican or Democrat, to become a De facto dictatorship with no accountability to the public.
Regardless of what they might say about us in the future, these are the reasons why we will fight, and our pledges to resist are not empty assertions. We will stop the course of tyranny from completing in this country and in this era, one way or another. If this makes us “extremists”, or “terrorists”, then so be it. I, for one, am tired of the long running game of lies and reserved rhetoric. They know a fight is coming, and we know a fight is coming. Let’s just admit it and be done with it. Their greatest weakness is that they have to use deceit, propaganda, media monopoly, and false flag violence in order to convince the public that they are the “right side”. All we have to do is continue telling the truth, and stand fast…
