A Short History of the Bible by Bronson Keeler
One of the most interesting titles we’ve published, but facts it contains may not be embraced well by the highly devoted.
Ancient Christianity Writers – The Octavius of Marcus Minucius Felix by G. W. Clarke
This work is a defense of Christianity composed in clear and direct imitation of Cicero, by a practicing advocate at Rome of African background, writing within the first third of the third century.
J. H. Hill discusses the beginnings of pagan religions and the beliefs of the magi. He talks about the beliefs in nature and the beginnings of astrology. Hill states, “the votaries of the ancient Astral worship divided into two distinct classes, the Esoterics, or Gnostics; and the Exoterics, or Agnostics; the former comprising those who knew that the Gods were mythical and the scriptures allegorical; and the latter, those who were taught that the Gods were real, and the scriptures historical; or, in other words, it was philosophy for the cultured few, and religion for the ignorant multitude. The initiates into the secrets of these two systems recognized them as the two Gospels; and Paul must have had reference to them in his Epistle to the Galatians ii., 2 where he distinguishes the Gospel which he preached on ordinary occasions from that Gospel which he preached “privately to them which were of reputation.” Astral Worship discusses, “the changes to which the creed and scriptures were subjected during the Middle Ages, and at the Reformation in the sixteenth century, through which they assumed the phases as now taught in the theologies, respectively of Catholicism and Orthodox Protestantism. We also present an article relative to Freemasonry and Druidism; for the purpose of showing that primarily they were but different forms of the ancient Astrolatry. We also devote a few pages to the subjects of the Sabbath, and to that of Pious Frauds.”
Astrological Body Types : Face, Form and Expression by Judith A. Hill
There is so little innocence, passion and authenticity out there. This book has it all. I dare anyone who picks it up not to find something insightful and delightful in it. The illustrations are so lovingly drawn and somehow succeed in relating the ideas contained in the book better than photographs ever could. The reader gets a real sense of how astrological placements reflect how we look and use our bodies. I found this, along with Hill’s book on medical astrology especially useful in furthering my understanding and appreciation of how the chart describes face and body types. I recommend this book highly, it’s a real gem.
Astrological World Cycles by Tara Mata
This is the 75th anniversary edition of the tour de force series of articles in Paramhansa Yogananda’s East-West magazine demonstrating the connection of the astronomical phenomenon known as the precession of the equinoxes with the great cycles of world history, astrology and ancient Hindu Scripture. Tara was an astrologer, direct disciple and chief editor of the Indian yogi Paramhansa Yogananda, author of the 1946 spiritual classic “Autobiography of a Yogi”. Tara’s articles were based on the work of Yogananda’s guru, Sri Yukteswar. At the time of publication in the early 30s, yoga and Yogananda were relatively unknown. Tara helped build Yogananda’s organization, SRF Inc., and indirectly inspired the creation of its largest spin-off, Ananda, formed by its vice-president Swami Kriyananda. Over the past decades interest has dramatically increased as many of the guru’s predictions have been proven.
Astrotheology & Shamanism by Jan Irvin and Andrew Rutajit
Jan Irvin and Andrew Rutajit delve deep into Judeo-Christian symbolism and mythology in Astrotheology & Shamanism to reveal the true origins of Christianity in fertility cults and entheogenic drug use. The authors show, with the use of numerous images, textual citations, and etymological analyses, how the symbols used in Christian art and encoded in sacred texts reference sacramental use of psychedelic mushrooms as well as ancient astronomical knowledge. This knowledge has been kept secret from the public, however, and the truth has remained concealed behind a campaign to prohibit access to entheogenic sacraments through a Pharmacratic Inquisition (of which the current “War on Drugs” is the latest manifestation). Along with a call to wake up to the true history of Judeo-Christian tradition, the authors call for a return to direct spiritual experience through visionary sacraments unmediated through dominating religious institutions. This is a powerful and provocative book that is sure to challenge and inspire. – Martin W. Ball, Ph.D. Author, The Entheogenic Evolution: Psychedelics, Consciousness and Awakening the Human Spirit.
Astrotheology A Sidereal Mythology by Michael Tsarion
Christians do not need to find salvation from sin. They need to find salvation from priestly deceivers who have everything to lose should their congregations discover the true origins of their religion. They need to be saved from myth-mongers and forgers guilty of cannibalizing and rescripting the traditions of the ancient Cults. Christian theology is based on Astro-Theology. It is a corrupt hybrid of Irish Druidism and Egyptian Amenism. The future of Christianity depends upon this truth being widely known and accepted. It depends upon the exposure of deceivers in high places who continue to profit from the ignorance and blind faith of millions of men and women who, despite their own resistance and apathy, deserve to know the truth…
Bible Myths and Parallels in Other Religions by Thomas Doane
Doane presents a candid look at Christianity and its parallels in ALL the ancient systems of worship. This book is comparable to Alexander Hislop’s The Two Babylons and is very well referenced. The author illustrates his subject matter with various archeological dilineations. Additionally, the author provides clarity to an ancient diety or religious system by providing a brief definition. This book is a great starting point for those begining a study into ancient religions and provides the stepping stones to take one’s study in a specific direction. For the informed researcher this book provides a source who’s textbook quality could be used as a foundation for further research.
Blacked Out Through Whitewash by Suzar
Tillilating bits of history that are topped off in an eye opening and concise explanation of African Cosmology which was a direct source of the present day faiths that we know of today. The author has great charts with the similarities of the crucified saints worldwide. In addition, the author explains the origins of tribal histories and people in China, Europe, India, The Americas etc. as they relate to only one source. The book is a wealth of information on other little known topics which makes it a excellent reference book as the author has impeccable sources of his/her assertions which makes the information difficult if not impossible to impeach. It was worth every penny paid. This ain’t for the average Sunday school class group nor the Conservatively educated.
Celsus on the True Doctrine A Discourse Against the Christians by R. Joseph Hoffman
The works of many early critics of the Christian church were burned by ruling emperors or otherwise destroyed in the second and third centuries, but the writings of the Greek pagan philosopher, Celsus, have survived indirectly through his eloquent opponent Origen of Alexandria. In his apologetical treatise, Contra Celsum, Origen argues against the ideas set forth by Celsus and quotes from Celsus’ The True Doctrine at length. Through this treatise, Celsus has come to represent the detached pagan voice of the ages. In this translation, Professor Hoffmann has, for the first time, painstakingly reconstructed the main order of the philosopher’s argument. Celsus’ discourse shows him to be an eclectic philosopher–a dabbler in various schools of thought, including Platonism and Stoicism, and a student of the history and religious customs of many nations. Hoffman supplements this definitive translation with an informative introduction, summarizing Celsus’ premises and placing the identity of Celsus in its historical context.
Christ in Egypt – The Jesus Horus Connection by D.M. Murdock
This comparative religion book contains a startling perspective of the extraordinary history of the Egyptian religion and its profound influence upon the later Christian faith. Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection uses a massive amount of primary sources and the works of highly credentialed authorities in relevant fields to demonstrate that the popular gods Horus and Jesus possessed many characteristics and attributes in common.
Drawing from thousands of ancient Egyptian texts in an assortment of translations along with the original language, as well as modern research in a number of other languages, controversial independent scholar of comparative religion and mythology D.M. Murdock puts together an astonishing amount of fascinating information that shows many of our most cherished religious beliefs and concepts did not appear suddenly out of the blue but have long histories in numerous cultures found around the globe, including and especially in the glorious Land of the Pharaohs.

From Light Into Darkness: The Evolution of Religion in Ancient Egypt by Stephen S. Mehler
Building on the esoteric information first revealed in Land of Osiris, this exciting book presents more of Abd’El Hakim’s oral traditions, with radical new interpretations of how religion evolved in prehistoric and dynastic Khemit, or Egypt. * Have popular modern religions developed out of practices in ancient Egypt? * Did religion in Egypt represent only a shadow of the spiritual practices of prehistoric people? * Have the Western Mystery Schools such as the Rosicrucian Order evolved from these ancient systems? * Author Mehler explores the teachings of the King Akhenaten and the real Moses, the true identity of the Hyksos, and Akhenaten’s connections to The Exodus, Judaism and the Rosicrucian Order. Here for the first time in the West, are the spiritual teachings of the ancient Khemitians, the foundation for the coming new cycle of consciousness — The Awakening.
An excellent collection of several esoteric writings. Chapters on: The First Books of Masonry; Theosophy and Masonry; Pythagoras and Freemasonry; The Number-Letter System; King Solomon’s Temple; Symbolism; and “AUM, the Lost Word.” And much more!
The life of Hesiod, remote from towns, and far away up the gulf of time, and his poetry devoid of sensation j and excitement in its almost impersonal didacticism, place the writer who deals with them at a disadvantage, as compared with one whose theme is an ancient epic, or a Greek or Eornan historian. He lacks, in a great measure, the choice of parallels by aid of which he may abridge the distance between the shadowy past and the living present. He cannot easily persuade himself or his readers to realise, in the inspired rustic of Ascra, ” a heart once pregnant with celestial fire,” when he reflects how foreign to the wildest, dreams of an English ploughman would be the reduction to verse of his rural experiences, or, still more, of his notions about the divine governance of the universe. Yet this is scarcely an excuse for overlooking the possible contemporary of Homer, the poet.
Jesus and the Lost Goddess by Timothy Freke & Peter Gandy
Drawing on modern scholarship, the authors of the international bestseller The Jesus Mysteries decode the secret teachings of the original Christians for the first time in almost two millennia and theorize about who the original Christians really were and what they actually taught. In addition, the book explores the many myths of Jesus and the Goddess and unlocks the lost secret teachings of Christian mysticism, which promise happiness and immortality to those who attain the state of Gnosis, or enlightenment. This daring and controversial book recovers the ancient wisdom of the original Christians and demonstrates its relevance to us today.
The Lost Light: An Interpretation of Ancient Scriptures by Alvin Boyd Kuhn
Lost Star of Myth and Time by Walter Cruttenden
Lost Star of Myth and Time weaves together some of the latest archaeological evidence with cutting-edge astronomy to reveal a history of the world that finally fits with myth, folklore and the archaeological record. While this book explores some of the most interesting aspects of a once advanced civilization that covered the Earth, it is really about what happens to the Earth and consciousness as our solar system moves through space in the mysterious motion known as the “precession of the equinox”. This astronomical phenomenon has since Newton been attributed to local gravitational forces wobbling the Earth s axis. Lost Star now shows us in no uncertain terms that the Earth s axis does not change orientation relative to objects inside the solar system at the same rate that it changes orientation to objects outside the solar system, meaning precession must be due to our Sun s binary motion around another star.
Manilius Astronomica by Manilius
Marcus Manilius, who lived in the reigns of Augustus and Tiberius, is the author of the earliest treatise on astrology we possess. His Astronomica, a Latin didactic poem in five books, begins with an account of celestial phenomena, and then proceeds to treat of the signs of the zodiac and the twelve temples; there follow instructions for calculating the horoscoping degree, and details of chronocrators, decans, injurious degrees, zodiacal geography, paranatellonta, and other technical matters. Besides exhibiting great virtuosity in rendering mathematical tables and diagrams in verse form, the poet writes with some passion about his Stoic beliefs and shows much wit and humour in his character sketches of persons born under particular stars. Perhaps taking a lead from Virgil in his Georgics, Manilius abandons the proportions of his last book to narrate the story of Perseus and Andromeda at considerable length.
In spite of its undoubted elegance, the Astronomica is a difficult work, and this edition provides in addition to the first English prose translation a full guide to the poem, with copious explanatory notes and illustrative figures.
Ovid Metamorphoses by Charles Martin
Ovid’s epic poem—whose theme of change has resonated throughout the ages—is one of the most important texts of Western imagination, an inspiration from Dante’s times to the present day, when writers such as Salman Rushdie and Italo Calvino have found a living source in Ovid’s work. Charles Martin combines a close fidelity to Ovid’s text with verse that catches the speed and liveliness of the original. Martin’s Metamorphoses will be the translation of choice for contemporary readers in English. This volume also includes endnotes and a glossary of people, places, and personifications. “Martin’s complete text is clearly something to look forward to with high expectations.”—Bernard Knox, The New York Review of Books “A reader who wants to understand Ovid’s poem as a whole, as well as to learn its many famous stories, will find Mr. Martin’s clarity and tact invaluable.”—The New York Sun “Smoothly readable, accurate, charming, subtle yet clear….A lucidly fluent version of this most flowing of poems.”—Richard Wilbur
Pagan Origins of the Christ Myth by John G. Jackson
Concise and easy-to-read. Christian doctrines are traced to their origins in older religions, and Jesus’ similarities to other savior-gods are delineated.
Plato Complete Works by John M. Cooper
Outstanding translations by leading contemporary scholars — many commissioned especially for this volume — are presented here in the first single edition to include the entire surviving corpus of works attributed to Plato in antiquity. In his introductory essay, John Cooper explains the presentation of these works, discusses questions concerning the chronology of their composition, comments on the dialogue form in which Plato wrote, and offers guidance on approaching the reading and study of Plato’s works.
Plutarch wrote on many subjects. Most popular have always been the 46 Parallel Lives, biographies planned to be ethical examples in pairs (in each pair, one Greek figure and one similar Roman), though the last four lives are single. All are invaluable sources of our knowledge of the lives and characters of Greek and Roman statesmen, soldiers and orators. Plutarch’s many other varied extant works, about 60 in number, are known as Moralia or Moral Essays. They are of high literary value, besides being of great use to people interested in philosophy, ethics and religion.
Porphyry’s Against the Christians The Literary Remains by R. Joseph Hoffman
Prominent among the pagan critics of the early Christians was Porphyry of Trre (ca. 232-305), scholar, philosopher, and student of religions. His Against the Christians, condemned to be burned in 448, was a work of admirable historical criticism. The surviving fragments of this work, newly translated by Biblical scholar Hoffmann, present Porphyry’s most trenchant comments on key figures, beliefs, and doctrines of Christianity.

Contents: Ancient Mysteries Described; A Chapter of Astronomical Facts; What the Ancients Knew about Astronomy; Masonic Astronomy; Astronomical Allegory of the Death and Resurrection of the Sun; An Astronomical Explanation of the Emblems, Symbols, and Legends of the Mysteries, both Ancient and Modern, and the Lost Meaning of many of them Restored; Illustrations.
Suns of God leads the reader through an electrifying exploration of the origin and meaning of the world’s religions and popular gods. Over the past several centuries, the Big Three spiritual leaders have been the Lords Christ, Krishna and Buddha, whose stories and teachings are curiously and confoundingly similar to each other. The tale of a miraculously born redeemer who overcomes heroic challenges, teaches ethics and morality, performs marvels and wonders, acquires disciples and is famed far and wide, to be persecuted, killed and reborn, is not unique but a global phenomenon recurring in a wide variety of cultures long before the Christian era.
These numerous godmen were not similar “historical” personages who “walked the earth” but anthropomorphizations of the central focus of the famous “mysteries.” A major element of the cryptic, international brotherhood, these mysteries extend back thousands of years and are found worldwide, reflecting an ancient tradition steeped in awe and intrigue. The reasons for this religious development, which has inspired the creation of entire cultures, are unveiled in this in-depth analysis containing fascinating and original research based on evidence both modern and ancient, captivating information kept secret and hidden for ages.
Suns of God is possibly the most complete review of the history of religion from its inception ever composed in a single volume.
Symbols, Sex and the Stars by Ernest Busenbark
Prefaced by and highly recommended by religious researcher Jordan Maxwell. Full title of Symbols, Sex, and the Stars in Popular Beliefs, An Outline of the Origins of Moon and Sun worship, Astrology, Sex Symbolism, Mystic Meaning of Numbers, the Cabala, and Many Popular Customs, Myths, Superstitions and Religious Beliefs. Over 300 illustrations, includes over 120 pages of sex symbolism. Jordan Maxwell says “this is a must read book for those who are concerned about pagan influence on the modern day Church.”
Tetrabiblos by Claudius Ptolemy
Claudius Ptolemy (c.100 – c.178 AD), of Alexandria, was one of the greatest philosopher/scientists of the ancient world. Among his books are the Almagest, Geography, Optics, Planispherium and Tetrabiblos.
The earliest surviving version of Tetrabiblos is the paraphrase attributed to Proclus the Philosopher (412-485). Tetrabiblos (literally, “four books”) was long thought to be a complete survey of Greek astrology. Recent research suggests this not to be the case, but Ptolemy’Â’s work remains the foundation of western astrology. In particular, his persuasive use of the Tropical Zodiac, rather than the Sidereal, changed western astrology forever.
That Old Time Religion by Jordan Maxwell
This book shows how many Christian beliefs could be far older than what we have suspected. It gives a complete run-down of the stellar, lunar, and solar evolution of our religious systems and contains new, exhaustive research on the gods and our beliefs. The book’s main theme centers on the work of Jordan Maxwell. He has become widely known as one of the world’s foremost experts on early mythological systems and their influence on both ancient and modern religions. The book also includes an interview with Dr. Alan Snow, referred to by Sydney Ohmarr as the “world’s greatest authority on astrology and the Dead Sea Scrolls.” Paul Tice also contributes three chapters, the last one explaining how we should revert to the original teachings of religious founders, including Jesus, before they had become corrupted by “organized religion.” This book is illustrated, organized, and very comprehensive. Educate yourself with clear documented proof, and prepare to have your belief system shattered!
The Astrological Foundation of the Christ Myth by Malik H. Jabbar
Besides the astronomical symbolism, there is also historical/racial propaganda, social engineering/moral persuasion, reference to extraterrestrial factions and activities, alchemical/spiritual symbolism for initiates, sacred geometry, and other types of coded information, involving multiple groups and agendas.
The Astrological Foundation of the Christ Myth Book Two by Malik H. Jabbar
Author’s review: The book proves that ancient mythology was, in fact, written allegorical records of astronomical or celestial transitions, under the type of mythical deities. The History of the biblical Jesus Christ is drawn from the symbolical history of prior Sun Deities. His birth through to his death, as represented in the bible, is a symbolical representation of the annual Sun Cycle, which is given detailed explanation within this book we have correlated all of the major events in the life of the biblical Jesus with their astronomical counterparts – this symbolism is thoroughly explained, and proven within the Book. The cosmic transitions that we have correlated to the biblical life of Jesus Christ are clear and explicit. The history of the Children of Israel, in the bible, is pure symbolism also, and in various aspects parallels the basic storylines of the mythical Jesus. The fabled stories of the Old Testament carry symbolisms similar to those of the New Testament scriptures, so we have provided insights into the Old Testament allegories as well; relevant to cosmic, agricultural, and cultural symbolisms.
The Astrological Foundation of the Christ Myth Book Three by Malik H. Jabbar
The purpose of this book is to explain the seminal relationship between Astronomy, Myth and Modern Religion. The book shows that ancient Myth/Religion was, in fact, a written record of the celestial movements within the Cosmos under the Type of Mythical Deities. The Bible is a Registry of Astronomical Phenomena written in a Mythological Format. The mythical tales of the bible fit into the same category as those of ancient Rome or Greece. The bible was composed to reflect two levels of thought – the Exoteric and the Esoteric. The Exoteric is pure fantasy at its Literal Level. It is a Code that shrouds the Esoteric Level that is directed to the Initiated. This Book interprets that Code.
The Astrological Foundation of the Christ Myth Book Four by Malik H. Jabbar
Theology Of Time is the best definition of the evolution of religion that I have ever heard – it started as astronomy that evolved into cryptic Myth (Mythology, Tales and Folklore) – and out of this mix has emerged our present day religious creeds. The fables that we call religious history are completely bogus in terms of actual history. The evolution of our modern Religious Concepts began with Astronomy, and evolved through Mythology and Astrology into modern religion. Jesus Christ , Moses , Abraham and all of the other so-called prophets of the Quran , Bible and Torah are cosmic myths – they never existed in actual history. They are the personifications of cosmic entities and their tales, in truth, are no less than a registry of astronomical phenomena written in a mythological format. The best term that I have ever heard as a description of religion is Theology Of time – that’s exactly what religion is and has always been. Religious myth was born out of a system of Time-Keeping, its originators were primitive stargazers whose history goes back more thousands of years than I would like to count. Within this Book, we shall also bring greater clarity to the important book of Genesis. In Chapter two I have included much of the Stellar and Circumpolar symbolism that was omitted from the previous volumes. The inclusion of the stellar symbolism and its interpretations will give the reader a much broader comprehension of biblical allegory. I have found astronomical correlations going back over 8,000 years in the Book Of Genesis. The interpretations are very vivid and jolting. We have attacked and explained many of the most enigmatic portions of the bible within Book Four, and that includes the Book Of Revelations– that mystery of the Ages. We have included many interpretations relating to Environmental (Agricultural) symbolism within this Volume, as it is very pertinent to the New Testament and to Revelations as well.
The Bible Fraud by Tony Bushby
This groundbreaking book reveals to the world for the first time original new information about the emergence of the New Testament and its story of Jesus Christ. It provides historical evidence showing not only vital ancient manuscripts been hidden from the public domain but also other sensitive and associated Biblical material has been purposely withheld or suppressed from the general populace.
An examination of this material reveals nothing less than a new account of the development of Christian belief and provides a conflicting and supportable version to that put forward by the priesthood. More alarming is that the church hierarchy of today admits the nature of the information uncovered here is factual and yet still withholds it from public knowledge.
The Biggest Lie Ever Told by Malik H. Jabbar
This is the fourth edition of this book “The Biggest Lie Ever Told” . The book has been extensively revised and enhanced. This edition of the book contains more than twice the content of the previous volume. Much of the commentary has been diligently refined pursuant to greater clarity. We have also added a great deal of information relevant to religious esotericism and mythology that was not included in the previous volumes. The purpose of this book is to serve as a primer for those entering into the arena of Secular Theological Research; and what is Secular Theological Research – it is research based on reason and facts, governed by scientific methods of investigation, and not influenced by popular opinions or favored dogmas. Secular Theologists are not guided by faith in any particular creed, but rather follow paths charted by reason and pragmatism. They are investigators first and believers or nonbelievers second, depending on the prevailing winds of reasonable evidences or lack thereof. Secular Theologists do not accept the concepts of so-called godly revelations, or sacred scriptures to do so would be tantamount to exempting said sacred scriptures from our critical examinations, because such documents (scriptures) would be deemed inviolable by reason of their so-called sacred sources; therefore the word sacred does not exist in the working vocabulary of Secular Theologists. All scriptures from all religions are viewed with equal skepticism, and are judged worthy or unworthy solely as dictated by the yardsticks of truth; and truth, as you know, tends to be reasonable, logical, plausible, and oftentimes verifiable when researched. This book contains all the information that was listed in the previous volume, plus much more, as I have indicated above.
The Book Your Church Doesn’t Want You to Read by Tim C. Leedom
It’s past time to expose the truth about religion myths, frauds, fantasies and fiction from End-times to Virgin Birth to Sun Worship. Now into its 3rd printing. A Best-seller. This popular anthology tells it all, the textbook of Freethought, edited by Tim C. Leedom.
The Christ Conspiracy The Greatest Story Ever Sold by Acharya S
Controversial and explosive, The Christ Conspiracy marshals an enormous amount of startling evidence that the religion of Christianity and Jesus Christ were created by members of various secret societies, mystery schools and religions in order to unify the Roman Empire under one state religion! This powerful book maintains that these groups drew upon a multitude of myths and rituals that already existed long before the Christian era and reworked them into the story the Christian religion presents today-known to most Westerners as the Bible.
Author Acharya makes the case that there was no actual person named Jesus, but that several characters were rolled into one mythic being inspired by the deities Mithras, Heracles/Hercules, Dionysus and many others of the Roman Empire. She demonstrates that the story of Jesus, as portrayed in the Gospels, is nearly identical in detail to those of the earlier savior-gods Krishna and Horus, and concludes that Jesus was certainly neither original nor unique, nor was he the divine revelation. Rather, he represents the very ancient body of knowledge derived from celestial observation and natural forces. A book that will initiate heated debate and inner struggle, it is intelligently written and referenced. The only book of its kind, it is destined for controversy.
The Dark Side of Christian History by Helen Ellerbe
Over a period of nearly two millennia, the Christian Church has oppressed and brutalized millions of individuals. Meticulously researched and courageously written, “The Dark Side of Christian History” by Helen Ellerbe examines the Church’s devastating impact upon human freedom, dignity and spirituality. Written for the lay reader, this controversial book is especially relevant today as the religious right is attempting to assert greater influence in American politics and society. “The Dark Side of Christian History presents a compelling argument that the Church’s desire to control and contain spiritually motivated its persecution of heretics, its burning of libraries, the Crusades, the Inquisition, and the witch-hunts. This dark Christianity ahs left a legacy, a world view, which permeates every aspect of Western society. It is a legacy which fosters sexism, racism, the intolerance of difference and the desecration of the natural environment. Helen Ellerbe is a researcher, writer, and public speaker living in the San Francisco bay area.
The Devil’s Pulpit by Robert Taylor
This series of sermons was meant to challenge the rigid and uncompromising views that were held by Christianity in England at the time. Reverend Taylor was originally a doctor who took up the holy orders in the Church of England. His intense curiosity and desire to find the truth found him studying the roots of Christianity and its interesting connections to astrology and the signs of the zodiac. He came to the conclusion that Christianity is based on much older religions and its rituals are directly descended from ancient Egyptian and pagan practices. Although Taylor’s holy orders were revoked and he was banned from preaching in the U.K., he continued his work in Ireland. He later returned to England and became even more controversial than ever. Arrested for blasphemy, he kept writing in jail. Upon his release he toured the universities of England with a colleague, debating and beating virtually everyone with material covered in this book. Subjects covered include the origins of Christianity, the real purpose of Jesus and the apostles, and the importance of the zodiac and its symbolism in relation to Christianity. Rev. Taylor was a trailblazer for all those who dare to question current beliefs.
The Divine Pymander of Hermes Trismegistus by G.R.S. Mead

The Gospel of the Zodiac by Bill Darlison
Who was Jesus Christ? Did he exist? For millennia the world has been driven by the differences between the great patriarchal religions. Western civilization–or Christendom, as it was once called–received its values and its confidence from a belief in God, the Father, and Jesus, his only son. But what if this conviction were founded on an error?
Who is the man in the factually inconsistent Gospel stories? And who is the man who makes a brief appearance carrying a jar of water? This extraordinary study by a Unitarian minister suggests that Jesus never existed historically; he was simply a representation of an astrological theology–a representation, simply put, of the zodiac sign of Aquarius. In The Gospel and the Zodiac, Reverend Bill Darlison demonstrates that all the other signs are present too, in perfect zodiacal order. The Gospel story is not the product of historians or eyewitnesses, but an older, mystical text produced by an ancient, esoteric school as a guide to the Age of Pisces.
Every bit as revelatory and controversial as it sounds, The Gospel and the Zodiac will shake up the religious status quo, and in doing so, provide both a new look at a religious icon and a deeper understanding of the faith that binds millions together.
The Hermetica by Timothy Freke
Here is an essential digest of the Greco-Egyptian writings attributed to the legendary sage-god Hermes Trismegistus (Greek for thrice-greatest Hermes)-a combination of the Egyptian Thoth and the Greek Hermes.
The figure of Hermes was venerated as a great and mythical teacher in the ancient world and was rediscovered by the finest minds of the Renaissance. The writings attributed to his hand are a time capsule of Egyptian and Greek esoteric philosophy and have influenced figures including Blake, Newton, Milton, Shelley, Shakespeare, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Jung.
Providing a fascinating introduction to the intersection of the Egyptian and Hellenic cultures and the magico-religious ideas of the antique world, The Hermetica is a marvelous volume for anyone interested in understanding the West’s roots in mystical thought.
The Historical Jesus and the Mythical Christ by Gerald Massey
Massey was an Egyptologist who wrote a tremendous body of scholarly work. He concluded that much of Christianity and its belief structure was rooted in ancient Egyptian mythology. At first this sounds strange, but a large number of people have agreed, including some of the most respected scholars and researchers in the field of religious studies. If you want a different and compelling view of Christianity and its roots, this is the book to read.
The Jesus Mysteries by Timothy Freke
“Whether you conclude that this book is the most alarming heresy of the millennium or the mother of all revelations, The Jesus Mysteries deserves to be read.”
— Fort Worth Star -Telegram
What if . . .
* there were absolutely no evidence for the existence of a historical Jesus?
* for thousands of years Pagans had also followed a Son of God?
* this Pagan savior was also born of a virgin on the twenty-fifth of December before three shepherds, turned water into wine at a wedding, died and was resurrected, and offered his body and blood as a Holy Communion?
* these Pagan myths had been rewritten as the gospel of Jesus Christ?
* the earliest Gnostic Christians knew that the Jesus story was a myth?
* Christianity turned out to be a continuation of Paganism by another name?
The Land of Osiris by Stephen S. Mehler
Egyptologist Stephen S. Mehler has spent over 30 years researching the answers to these questions: • Was there a advanced prehistoric civilization in ancient Egypt? • Who were the people who built the great pyramids? • Who carved the Great Sphinx? • Did the pyramids serve as energy devices and not as tombs for kings? Mahler believes the answers are “Yes!” An indigenous oral tradition still exists in Egypt, he has been able to uncover and study it with the help of a living master of this tradition, Abd’El Hakim Awyan. He has also been given permission to share these teachings -presented heretofore in fragments by other researchers-to the Western World, teachings that unfold a whole new understanding of ancient Egypt.
The Laughing Jesus Religious Lies and Gnostic Wisdom by Timothy Freke
An Incendiary Wake-Up Call to the World. What if the Old Testament is a work of fiction, Jesus never existed, and Muhammad was a mobster?
What if the Bible and the Qur’an are works of political propaganda created by Taliban-like fundamentalists to justify the sort of religious violence we are witnessing in the world today?
What if there is a big idea that could free us from the us-versus-them world created by religion and make it possible for us to truly love our neighbors—and even our enemies?

The Light of Egypt Volume I by Thomas Burgoyne
The Science of the Soul and the Stars, by Thomas H. Burgoyne. This book is about the search for spiritual truth. According to the author, the methods date back to ancient Egypt and Chaldea. It contains some of the most effective spiritual instruction ever used. The author was well-schooled in wisdom from around the world, often referring to Hermetic, Kabalistic, Theosophical, and Buddhist principles. The book is divided into two parts: “The Science of the Soul ” and “The Science of the Stars.” It explores karma, immortality, reincarnation, and the human soul in depth, plus chapters on The Mysteries of Sex, The Realm of Spirit, Alchemy, astrology and the zodiac. This guidebook is meant for slow and serious study, for those wishing to attain wisdom as opposed to knowledge.
The Light of Egypt Volume II by Thomas Burgoyne
VOLUME TWO: The Science of the Soul and the Stars, by Thomas H. Burgoyne. This book is about the attainment of spiritual truth. Volume Two continues where Part One left off—within the areas of the zodiac and astro-theology. This is advanced information, written at a higher level than Volume One. It contains more information on astrology than one will likely to see. It is a small “occult library” in itself, commonly used as a text for esoteric knowledge, whether alone or part of a group. Both books contain spiritual truths not found elsewhere, mostly concerned with man’s place in the universe, both here and after death.
The Occult Anatomy of Man by Manly Hall
Manly P. Hall was the founder of the Philosophical Research Society. In over seventy-five years of dynamic public activity, he delivered more than 8,000 lectures in the United States and abroad, and authored countless books, essays, and articles. In his lectures and writings, Manly Hall always emphasized the practical aspects of philosophy and religion as they applied to daily living. He restated for modern man those spiritual and ethical doctrines which have given humanity its noblest ideals and most adequate codes of conduct. Believing that philosophy is a working tool to help the individual in building a solid foundation for his dreams and purposes, Manly Hall steadfastly sought recognition of the belief that world civilization can be perfected only when human beings meet on a common ground of intelligence, cooperation, and worthy purpose.
The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross by John Allegro
Where did God come from? What do the bible stories really tell us? Who or what was Jesus Christ? This book challenges everything we think we know about the nature of religion. • The ancient fertility cult at the heart of Christianity • The living power of cultic rites and symbols • The sacred mushroom as the emblem and embodiment of divinity • The secret meaning of biblical myths • The language of religion that links us to our ancestors The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross sets out John Allegro’s quest through a family tree of languages to find the truth about where Christianity came from.
The Secret in the Bible by Tony Bushby
Now for the first time in contemporary history, this book fully reveals that exalted knowledge, providing a new and fascinating insight into the extraordinary “Secret of the Dead”, and totally explains why the Holy Bible was always considered a divine book.
To provide the new information presented in this book, the author was obliged to comply with two separate secrecy agreements specifically established to contain the release of ‘sensitive information’. Therefore, some insights were not directly divulged, the main one being the ‘seven things’ said to have existed before the creation of the world. The Rosicrucians called them the Seven Unspeakable Secrets and the ‘Legends of the Craft’ or Freemasonry originally referred to them as Seven Steps of the Winding Stairs. However, ancient rabbinic tradition openly maintained that the Torah was one of those ‘seven things’ and the extraordinary Secret it holds made it greater than the combination of the other six secrets. The other delicate issue was the true extent of subterranean chambers below the sands of the Pyramid Plateau at Giza. Nevertheless, previously undisclosed information about the Bible, Solomon’s Temple, the Great Pyramid and the Sphinx is publishable outside secrecy agreement commitments and that wisdom is revealed in this book.

The World’s Sixteen Crucified Saviors by Kersey Graves
This is a reprint of Kersey Graves’ 1875 classic about the sixteen messiahs who are known to history before Christ. Graves was ahead of his time, integrating the links between nature and religion to develop a unique understanding of spiritual thought. Among his unusual discoveries are a link between astrology and Christianity, including the true meaning of December 25, The Birthday of the Gods. The forty-five fascinating chapters include: * The Holy Ghost is of Oriental Origin * 346 Striking Analogies Between Christ and Krishna * Virgin Mothers and Virgin-Born Gods * Prophecies by a Serpent * Christ as a Spiritual Medium The introduction and full text of the original book are included; new material — maps, illustrations and commentary — has been added by Adventures Unlimited editors.
They Lied to Us in Sunday School by Ian Ross Vayro
The churches have never really answered the big question of their genesis and faith. Despite a myriad of new cults and religions, the complete understanding of our Godhead has advanced little in the past 200 years. Almost without exception these ever increasing groups ask us to accept their teachings. “Have faith” we are told. But faith in what? They lied to us in Sunday School takes us on a whirlwind ride through ancient biblical texts and leads one to question all that was taught, and that which is still being taught, from the pulpits of churches everyday. Recent fiction and non-fiction novels have added to the debate but no book does so in the way that Ian Vayro’s book does. Often humorous and extremely well written and researched, it is very difficult to question the conclusions reached.
Who is this King of Glory? by Alvin Boyd Kuhn
A Critical Study of the Christos-Messiah Tradition. “This book is the narrative of what happened back in the third century of Christian history, when the Christian movement passed over from the hands of the Philosophers of the Greek world into those of the unphilosophical and worldly minded Romans and suffered the total extinction of its original light of esoteric spiritual meaning, the historical result of which was the sixteen centuries of the Dark Ages. This book is the natural companion and complement of The Lost Light.” Contents: Faith Weds Folly; Myth Truer than History; Truth Wears A Mask; Wisdom Haunts the Countryside; Fancy’s Fabric Turns into History; Cannonized Romanticism; Throes of a Bad Conscience; Sublime Myth Makes Grotesque History; Faith’s Odd Wonderland; Cosmic Majesty with Local Items; Staggering Truth on Egypt’s Walls; The Shout of Paul’s Silence; Robbing Paul to Pay Peter; A Queen Dethroned; A Star-And Luna; An Epochal Discovery; Truth Exorcises Demoniac Obsessions; The Anointing of Man; Lost Cycles of the Sun; Twelve Lamps of deity; Orion and His Dog; Our Day-Star Rises.
